Any spider experts on here? When the women in my family say they've seen an enormous spider, I laugh, as they invariably turn out to be teeny.

This one, though, is quite impressive. I'd love to know what species it is.

Google lens gives me Mediterranean recluse spider.

These are obviously euphemisms for cut your ears off before you listen

I am now a broken man

Non-reggae artists releasing reggae albums is always suspect, when the genre is Dancehall, a form of reggae I really am not fond of.... When its an action movie actor thinking he's a musician and he can afford to buy in one of the biggest female dancehall stars of her generation. Jesus wept, he's (and she) are singing about punani and kitty FFS

How does Dancehall fit in with his "spirituality" and Buddhism?

Ah f*** that is possibly the worst thing I've heard this week and I've heard Beatles songs

I @Marka Ragnos took my 'Truly remarkable' and put a positive spin on it.

In truth I meant. It's truly remarkable. Remarkable in the sense that someone had to sit and record that while that complete gimp of a man sang in a faux reggae style about wanting someone's vagina. It's so bad I just had to share it.

He doesn't watch YouTube.  He has netflix/Disney/prime etc, but he's absolutely not bothered about losing them.

I need to strip everything back, but there's not a lot already!

I might just put a lock on his cage

Does he have responsibility around the house? Setting the table, emptying the dishwasher, laundry and so on?

At eight he might respond to general encouragement and praise for the good things he does. Bringing him into the household management on a smaller scale might make him feel more important, too. Writing the shopping list with him, planning the weekend, filling out the family planner could also be beneficial.

  4. Like Mooney said theres a time and a place for certain food.

Balti pie on match day. Washed down with a cheeseburger from the vans under the flyover.

Then there's that pie. To be enjoyed bollock naked listening to The Archers.

Only ever seen this movie once. Its brilliant but not an easy watch. I was the same with City of Life and Death, which was another superbly done war movie but a one time only viewing.

The scene in the church (and pretty much the whole movie tbh) is ridiculously hard hitting.

    Spoiler

There is a scene where a woman walks through a crowd of German soldiers with blood pouring down her legs which always comes back to me.

Watched a few nights ago with 17-year-old son who studies Russia. Stunning, brutal, beautiful, heartbreaking. Some of the scenes could be paintings in the Tate.

This film gave me gruesome nightmares. Didn't help I was on tramadol at the time.

Yugoslavia - renowned for its fine wines.

Wasn't there a scandal in the 70s when Yugoslvia wine was exposed as grape juice mixed with industrial alcohol???

Slovenian reisling. Which is quite nice but probably not from 70's Yugoslavian Slovenia.

Because I'm a sucker for interesting facts about 70's shopping, Sainsbury's sold it.

I was on a Bulgarian flight run by the national carrier at the time, just after the fall of the Berlin Wall.
The plane was basic, you could see the rivets in the metalwork, none of that fancy panelling you get these days. It wasn’t that full and we hit some turbulence. The air hostesses reaction was to break out the red sparkling wine (and when I say red I mean deep crimson red - never seen or tasted anything like it before or since) and the Russian ciggies.
Russian ciggies were back then and probably still are, the most rough heinous things known to man, they might as well have been filterless. The whole aircraft was thick with acrid, yet vibrating smoke  (due to the turbulence) within a couple of minutes,

Quite bizarre when I think back on it

Nobody quite like the former soviet countries back then for lack of safety and ignoring risk

    Still is like this.

  10. Sealife is about a 45 minute to 1 hour thing. Then a walk through to the Ikon, maybe some lunch. Walk down to the library. If it's a scorching day let the kids run through the pool in front of it.
