Given the choice, I'd stay on the sofa all day watching old films (and the match). But the wife's mate is coming round for Sunday lunch and we're off to a gig this evening.
This paracetamol and ibuprofen had better start doing its stuff.
I have a tylohot (think a lemsip equivalent but 2x as strong) and 2 nurofen 400g and it keeps the general bluergh at bay.
Hate sniffly head colds.

MrsVM is off to a conference at Edgbaston soon. Anyone got any shout outs for drinks in the area afterwards?
A walk up Salisbury Road into Moseley, maybe.

Sometimes I measure my productiveness during the day by the amount of battery percentage left on my phone, at 5pm.
Starting at 6am with 100% anything above 80% by 5pm means I've had a very busy day. Yesterday I left for home with it on 82%

All I know is that I took a seven day trip to Birmingham and ate 12 sausage rolls.
So it is possible to eat healthily on holiday.

I was going through some notes with my boss I'd made in preparation for a meeting next week. They were handwritten in my notebook. Running my finger down until the last point which was an added one by the wife "put kids to bed early and have wooshtie".
Mortified.

I hope to spend a week with her in France in January. If we became more than friends then I think I know a way I could get a work visa: going back to TEFL in a language school. I taught English as a foreign language for language schools for six years including three in Paris. I swore I wouldn't teach groups for a language school again but I guess some things are worth making a sacrifice for !
Private lessons face to face and over zoom are the way to go. Im charging €45 an hour with a minimum ten lesson commitment. If you could get 5/6 people like that you'd laughing. Then, hold English language exchanges in a local bar where you make a deal on the drinks with the owner. You'll be laughing.

I've moved to different countries twice for 'love'. I married an Armenian Türk after moving to Istanbul in 2010. The life experience was amazing but after a while I realised I'd married the family not just her and it culminated in me divorcing and leaving to Bulgaria where I met a much more stoic, straight forward but still sort of bat s***t crazy Bulgarian. She's amazing and the mother of my two kids, but you have to suck up the cultural differences before being happy. Luckily I've got a group of British friends here who keep everything grounded and keep me supplied with squash and cheddar.
I say do it. Go balls deep and treasure those early morning baguette runs, beer with large head and the gallic shrug.

Are you sure you're getting him confused with hardcore gangster Tim Westwood?

McGinnadine Zidane. He's been given some sort of secret plan by King Unai and now he's....masterful.

I've just bought the boy child his first bike. He was literally shaking with excitement as we took it to the till in Decathlon. He's zipping around the house on it now.
Genuinely one of the father/son milestone moments I never knew would move me so much.

Shops that don't abide by their stated opening hours.
Here in Bulgaria this is very strict. You must post your opening hours on the door of your business as a condition of your trading license. Until they go on holiday for 4 weeks and post a torn A4 piece of paper daubed in crayon that they won't be open 'til September. Meanwhile they haven't updated google so you go halfway across town to see shutters and a something akin to a dirty protest.
The gimps.

My favourite Jack Woodward memory was when he did Villa Radio and my missus at the time worked with him. He whispered very erotically to me in the North Stand carpark that we'd just signed Wilfred Bouma.
