  1. The irony Calm down dear or you'll give yourself a coronary. Also you're moving the goalposts in what is and isn't valid criteria again. In response to my OP, OxfordVillan asserted that I couldn't use 3-4 clubs as to prove we're in a minority, I expanded on this and now you've responded by using 3-4 clubs different clubs to attempt to argue otherwise. There's more than 1 way to see a situation, just as there are multiple ways of crunching the data, so settle down.
  2. I can use what I want, and I choose to use facts. Whether or not you're jealous of other clubs' recruitment so far is irrelevant to the point being made, and is simply your opinion. We are literally 1 of 5 clubs who haven't made a senior signing. What you, or anyone else, does with that information is your own business, but there's nothing incorrect about it.
  3. We are 1 of only 5 clubs in the Premier League to not make a single senior signing. That's 25% which, yes, is a minority. I didn't think I needed to list out every single club and their business thus far, as that information can be easily gleaned from a quick Google or the Sky Sports website. I used the most active clubs as illustration, since they were the most obvious counterpoint.
  4. This is an oft-repeated fallacy. Yes it's a difficult window, but suggesting other clubs aren't strengthening significantly simply isn't accurate. Chelsea have spent a fortune bringing in some serious talent, Leeds as you've said have brought in numbers (whether you rate them or not is a matter of opinion rather than fact), Arsenal are doing some seriously tidy business despite having financial difficulties which is not something we're facing currently, City have obviously strengthened, etc. etc. There are other clubs as quiet as us (Newcastle, Sheff Utd), but we are in the minority rather than the majority I'm afraid. Personally I'll give it til Friday evening. If we're still in the same boat at that stage, I'll be quite worried.
  5. My ITK source assures me Lange is busy negotiating deals with a number of targets. Either that or he's listening to a lot of Nirvana. All anyone can hear from his office is "Hello, hello, hello, how low?"
  6. Something told me you'd never heard of him alright.
  7. You're hilarious. Bree put in key shifts for Luton in the run-in last season, and cover is cover. But next you'll tell me you've been analysing extensive drone footage from Bodymoor Heath and our young lad Jake Walker is the real deal.
  8. Listen I can only assume this means Cash is definitely signing. Given the size of our squad, if we start selling without a guaranteed replacement coming, then I'll start to worry.
  9. This is going to wind people up something fierce.
  10. If we sign Wilson, I don't think he's an "alternative" to Watkins by any means. I think we're trying to correct the mistakes of last summer when we only signed 1 striker. For one reason or another it does look at if Brentford have held up the Watkins deal. Whether to get Toney in first before discussing particulars, or whether they're holding out for more money, or perhaps both - hard to know. Either way I would take our interest in Wilson as a sign that we are not putting all our eggs in one basket this time around.
  11. Wilson, Wesley & Watkins sounds like some sort of Dickensian law firm.
  12. Buckle your seat belts, we're hitting second gear today!
  13. This. Jack will now feature for approx 7 minutes across the 3 fixtures and Southgate will come out with "I just didn't think he did enough to warrant another call-up" next time.
  14. Leaves a bit of a sour taste now, doesn't it? Southgate has already sent him the message that Jack has to jump through hoops to earn a place and is only there now by virtue of injuries. Can't help but feel he'll do everything in his power to avoid giving him a run-out now. Hope Jack absolutely smashes it and serves the waistcoat w@nker his humble pie.
  15. As an aside - has anybody ever known a club to promote their new kits as aggressively as we are on social media? I understand it from a marketing perspective, but f*ck me, you'd swear it didn't happen every single year.
  16. Agreed. This is why we need sensible signings, not marquee signings. Let Everton sign the likes of Rodriguez. They're a basket case club anyway. Progress for me looks like this: Hold on to Grealish and Luiz, whatever it costs us. Both would be extremely difficult to replace. Sign a goalscorer (Watkins or Edouard please). Sign a winger (or two) who can provide for our striker. Strengthen the back line if possible (a full-back who can cover both sides, a centre-half of equal or better quality to Mings and Konsa). That would be a very tidy window for me. I know we're in for Martinez or another goalkeeper to challenge Heaton but it seems a luxury. I honestly trust Steer until Heaton's back. Sell Kalinic or Nyland.
  17. 3 things I think we've learned from this window so far, all of which we should have known already tbh: • ITKs are invariably full of shit and should be either ignored or ridiculed, whichever really. A waste of time and a sad indictment of whoever listens to their nonsense and lends them credence • Brentford are not going to budge on their valuations, so we need to either put up the money or walk away and go bother someone else's fax machine for a change • Jack Grealish is still no closer to joining Yanited than he was in January, and this makes everything else tolerable for me
  18. Forget Lange, I think we we know who should be in charge of negotiations from now on.
  19. Oh yeah? Are we "poised" to fill them? I wonder who'll be "testing their resolve"
