Rangers playing their CL qualifier tonight against Servette, it’s on iplayer if anyone else fancies watching

2-0 to the wee Scottish minnows already.

I follow a few Scotland fans on social media and I promise you they were not bored by that game, and they don't think it was not fun or meaningless just because they're not going to win the tournament overall.

Qualifiers are fine as they are tbh. I don't really understand what format you think the Nations League should have to lead to qualification, but the only two ways I can think of would lead to either *only* the big nations or *nowhere near enough* big nations, and both of those would make the finals worse.

Trust me, for a nation like us, qualifiers aren’t boring. That’s why I am so glad Scotland is my nation in terms of international football. This is what it means. No disrespect to England but because you are so strong as a nation, 90% of international football is pointless. Malta v England. Result is never in doubt. We beat Norway and it’s a 3 day holiday for Scotland. And what about the SJM engine at the end. Love him.

  3. I know Villa fans give Scottish football a hard time, justified at times, so to balance things out, I urge anyone that hasn’t watched Aberdeen 83 Once In A Lifetime, to do so. Get it on BBC IPlayer. Incredible what Alex Ferguson did with that team. To win the Cup Winners Cup, beating Bayern Munich in quarters and Real Madrid in final then winning Super Cup by beating European Champions, Hamburg, was amazing. Really well made documentary and it isn’t all about Ferguson. That final is still the last final that Real Madrid have lost in a Euro competition.

Would have taken that point before the game, but with that pen missed feels like 2 points dropped

Not so sure the missed penalty was that relevant. We scored almost immediately afterwards. If the penalty went in, the whole series of events changes and the goal we did get wouldn’t have happened.

What's the deal with James Tavernier at Rangers? A nothing career in England, then joins Rangers and becomes a goal scoring machine from right back.

83 penalties out of his 100 goals. Seems that way anyway. To be fair, he has an incredible amount of assists too.

Remember the end of the season before Leicester won the league, they went on that mad run of form in the last 10 or so games, as a sort of precursor for what was to come?

Yeah, I'm putting some cash on us winning the **** league next season. :crylaugh:

I really believe, once Pep finally gets bored at City and leaves for another project, somewhere abroad hopefully, the Premier League will be very open. Teams like Villa, Newcastle, Brighton could all push for top 4. Manchester City squad will eventually break up and won’t be the same once Pep goes, that’s my hope anyway. Liverpool need a rebuild. There are definitely openings there, in the next few years, for the smaller teams. Be good if teams like Brighton and us can hold onto our managers for 3-4 years and get that continuity.

Why not? I’m sick of our fans turning on players rather than supporting them. Happen here and happens at the ground. Get behind players instead of attacking them and they might surprise you.

    100% agree
