    We need a really solid defensive performance this evening. I know it might seem smart to go gung ho and try kill the tie but, a bit like the first leg in Amsterdam, we need to be smart. We are missing so many players so I think the team kinda picks itself. Olson Konsa Carlos Pau Digne McGinn Luiz Rodgers Bailey Olly Diaby I do fear Unai might push Cash into midfield and move Rodgers forward and keep Diaby on the bench.

    Looking at our squad we either need to trust Tim (it’s a lot to expect if we are aiming to be at the upper end of the premier league and champions league) or buy a top defensive midfielder who can compete with Bouba. We lose so much by putting either Luiz or McGinn into the DM position. I like Alvarez at West Ham.

    I missed the game as I was flying but just caught the highlights. Disappointing to see another Luiz mistake lead to a goal. I get the feeling he’s on the beach. On the Chelsea “goal” it’s so poor from the ref. It’s the clearest fouls you’re likely to see but he was too weak to give it. Needed VAR to bail him out!

    I think Olise’s ceiling is probably higher but right now (IMO) Eze is the better player.

    I think Eze is already top 4 level and I think Olise can get there. If we have the budget I’d be perfectly happy with dropping a big fee on Eze. I think he’s top quality and will improve under Emery!
