Why was that embargoed? hardly something riveting
Embargoed press conference tidbits are completely unrelated to how interesting they may or may not be. It’s to allow print media get a “scoop” or two.

Not sure if it would be good man management not starting Tyrone to be honest.
Would be too many gut punches at once IMO.
We'd be better off giving him a. Chance to play himself out of the team.
Saying this even though I'm a big fan of Chambers and wouldn't mind him starting work th Carlos.
I'm also one of those awkward people who likes the Left Footed LCB and Right footed RCB balance.
What's your opinion on two left-footers?

Eggs are my nemesis, from cracking them and trying not to break the yolk, to trying to correctly time soft boiled or poached eggs.
Scrambled though ? Completed it mate.
Complete with egg shell? That's my favourite type of scrambled.

He kind of reminds me of Kevin Phillips.
Just need to find the modern day Niall Quinn so.

I thought this was a tribute thread to Cowans, Mortimer and Bremner.
For some people it is.

I genuinely think Gerrard has no clue who he wants to start against Bournemouth.
I hope that he figures it out sharpish.

Crazy that working-class people think that the Tories are going to help them in any way, shape, or form.

Now that Perisič is in doubt I am tempted to go for Cash instead of Doherty as a replacement… I’ve put Doherty in for now but Cash is a good option as he gets up the pitch well and even scores the odd goal
I've got Doherty but he is also a doubt. Conte said both he and Perisic need to be assessed. I might swap him out. I'm tempted by DIgne to be honest instead of Cash.

For an attacking full-back Cucurella's numbers weren't that great last season. Played almost every game, 1 goal and 1 assist.
That's true, but I was referring to more general on the ball stuff like passing and possession, rather than goals and assists.
Cash Cucurella

Bring in MTF athletes in to compete with biological females, an it will not be a even field! It'll be like some athletes being allowed to take enhancing drugs and the others not, it shouldn't be a argument.
Is this true though? Where is the evidence for it? I understand the immediate fears. I thought as much myself, but when you look into it and listen to people conducting research into the issue, and read articles from the researchers, the current evidence points to the contrary.

Liz Truss on Sky1, it’s painful to watch.
Everything she says is a “clarification” of something stupid she previously said.
Re-run of Dream Team or Mile High? Can't say that I remember her in either.

Interesting to see Cucurella going to Chelsea for £56m plus £7m in potential add-ons. He's the same age as Cash and they have a similar energetic style. While Cucurella is good I'm not convinced he's any better than Cash.
Well then at least we have a ball park figure for when the big boys come calling. Also I think Cucurella is a better with the ball than Cash, although I thought that Cash improved in this area towards the end of the season.

I think he’s absolutely worth the money, but I’m surprised they have gone for him when they have Chilwell. Thought City were nailed on for him.
Alonso wants out so they'll only have one player for that position if he leaves, which I assume is pretty certain if they're going for Cucurella. Also I think that Cucurella is better than Chilwell.

Huh?! In four seasons of top tier football at leipzig he had the following goal to game ratios:-
1:1.48;
1:2.46;
1:1.88 and
1:1.21
That's better than 1 goal every 2 games in 3 out of 4 seasons. He also averages 1:2 for Germany. Scott Hogan had a purple patch for half a season in the Championship. Hardly compable.
To be fair to @Zatman, he said in tournaments fro Germany which is true. He has struggled at tournaments for them. It's easy enough have a 1 in 2 ratio for Germany when playing the likes of San Marino and Liechtenstein in qualifying competitions. The system at Leipzig coupled with the Bundesliga philosophy of playing a high defensive line (everyone does it - even the teams threatened by relegation) suited him a lot. Saying that his finishing has fallen off a cliff since leaving Leipzig. However, I do remember having a chat with some friends over here around the time he was moving to Chelsea, and their thoughts were along the lines of "50 million for him is a joke".

We've known baout it for 2 months, and every week, in our end of week washup, I ask how they're getting on and if they need any advice. And they never do. It's really only a couple of days work for someone who knows what they're doing, so nobody has been stressing too much, as they keep saying they're on track.
Today, at 16:15, they sent me a chat asking if I could help them. It's not even a "just finishing off and stuck on a final snag", it was to discuss some of the absolute fundamentals. At 16:15 on the deadline day. I considered being the bigger man, helping out, and staying as late as needed to get the job done, if it came to it I could have smashed it out in 4-5 hours, not how I'd like, but we could get it done. But what I actually did is say I have to go, knocked off early, and opened a beer.
Good luck tomorrow, ****.
Sorry, but we're only making jizz jokes at the minute in here.

It remains to be seen what his finishing is like
I've heard that he is quite potent. Good movement up front and has been known to sneak around the back from time to time.

I will miss his throw ins. He is one of the few ones on our team who takes throw ins with no fuss or bafflement.
Remember when we went through a period of about 7 or 8 years where a throw in for us meant automatically losing possession. Wild times.

No no, you receive the ball, see a man in space, turn away from him, take 4 touches to turn and face your original direction and then pass it to original man now marked.
