Monster.
Him and Tyrone has the look and potential to be Evans and Mcnaught
Which one would you say looks like Allan Evans and which one looks like Ken McNaught?

Just checked his stats - his disciplinary record looks ok so he’s certainly not a Hause of Cards.

But let’s not allow facts to get in the way here, eh?
If you extrapolate those statistics then by December 8th we won’t even touch the ball.
Bruce out!

If Vinagre snubs is too, that would really rub salt in the wound.

I should hope not. Pelé is a 77 year old with erectile dysfunction.
He could still cut it at this level. I don’t think it would be at all hard for him.

I’m positive we could do without such negative publicity.

As it’s Norwich we’re talking about, I take it that she was your sister?

I think tonight's result and performance have sapped the will to live out of the best of us.
I should be pleased but after a sh*t day at work and a sh*t result, my overarching emotion is "whatever".

This has p*ssed on my transfer window chips.

It's worked on me.
I'm walking zombie-like around the office, eyes glazed over chanting "Today's the day to celebrate, the foe have met their fate..."

With potentially 3 clubs under his belt by the age of 17, he's certainly had a nomadic 'Bedeau-in' career so far.

Agreed. I don't think it carries much weight.

If he doesn't like it, that's his problem. Idiot.
I hope you've got a job lot of Um Bongo in.

I'm looking forward to seeing him play as I've not seen anything of him prior to this move.
On the flip side I'm dreading what this forum is going to become with all of the cheese puns bound to continue...
Agreed. It's going to be Emmental.

im amazed at how many villa fans now like bruce just because hes here, considering there probably wasnt even 1 villa supporter not so along ago that liked him at all, you could say he was one of the most hated, up there with hitler and robbie savage.
ok, so hes got the club into winning ways, but can it continue? i doubt it, can he get us a win against small heath alliance? i doubt that also, considering hes got so many fond memories there and is considered a fans favourite.
Hate is a strong word. Most of the time when abuse is dished out to an individual it's just part and parcel of the banter of the game, and in particular when they are a player or manager of SHA.
Robbie Savage is an exception, he was and still is a grade A word removed.
I'm only in my 40s so never got to see Hitler play, although I hear he was a no nonsense right winger.

Well it's early days but already Bruce is beginning to turn this previously rudderless ship around. You build from the back and already he's eliminated that inevitable late collapse, the Gollini clanger, the midfield being completely overrun each game. I hope that the doubters will cut him a bit of slack now - he's made as good a start as any of us could have wished for.

Here's why I'm not excited about this appointment:
- Prior to RDM, if anyone had suggested we contact Hull and ask them if we can approach Steve Bruce, we would have laughed at them. What has changed?
- Our vastly experienced board have taken the easy approach. Go for the guy with the so called 'experience' and 'track record'. Are you really telling me that there are no younger, more talented and ambitious managers out there? And why did we take 10 days to make this decision. Don't tell me it was due diligence.
- Do we think this is a long-term appointment? If not, why not? What happens when we don't get out of this division this season.
- He is tainted with a Blue brush. Like it or not, we have that to deal with every time we deal with our Bluenose friends and colleagues.
I really, really hope I'm wrong. I hope they have a Plan B ready and waiting.
I'd also like to know who else was interviewed or on the list.
UTV
My thoughts:
1. At the time of RDM's appointment, having just got Hull promoted he didn't appear a realistic option. Had we approached Hull though, I don't think that would have been laughable
2. Why wouldn't any employer go for experience or track record over taking a chance on a younger candidate?
3. Let's just focus on getting out of this division - something Bruce has a good track record of
4. I just don't get the Blues thing. I really don't give a flying **** about that. If he gets us promoted I don't care if he's been a member of IS or if he's shagged my old dear - just as long as he gets us up.

Wow. If it wasn’t for the abuse aimed at the city of Birmingham and its inhabitants you could be forgiven for thinking you were reading a Small Heath forum there.
The pig-ignorant and unintelligent abuse is a real surprise to me - but as others have said we should take it as a compliment that a club with which we have no association through either history or geography should dislike us so much.
Makes you appreciate what, on balance, a reasonable and fair forum Villa Talk is.
