I'm not sure i'd recommend CLA to anyone above 12% body fat and not on its own.

CLA encourages fat to be used as fuel and acetyl l-carnitine helps to transport that fat into the mitochondria of cells to be used for energy. Combining those two with a thermogenic forms the supplement industry term of 'the fat loss triangle' all of which are utterly useless until your diet and cardio regime is dialed in.

Basically it's something that sounds like you'd want to be using if you you're overweight or trying to drop weight but the body already produces this stuff naturally. It's only really necessary to supplement this stuff when trying to get down to sub 10%, where your body is obviously going to be restricted of certain nutrients and probably starts to become deficient.

Saying that, doesn't stop me from taking them both but I wouldn't suggest they are needed for anyone really.

CLAs have always seemed to work for me and I notice when I'm not on them.

But that could just be the placebo effect.

I've tried L-cartinine and thermo's before but never seemed to see benefits of L-cartinine (I've read that it requires a three month bedding in period and I've never kept faith that long) and I never felt right on thermo's.

Simply put, Hughes is one of the best players in the Aviva at the moment and that isn't just my opinion, so EJ may be forced to give him more than just a passing glance. He'll miss out on England's Aussie tour in the summer so we'll have to wait until the Autumn games to find out what his plans are for Nat.

I rate Hughes highly too. I'm just going off the comments saying Billy is going to be the best number eight in the world and our go to guy.

Daniel Bentley is on Bosman in July. Out of contract as not signed new deal and wants move bigger club.

Bentley turns 23 this July so I don't think he qualifies for a free transfer and we would have to pay compensation.

    Who?

Macros? I don't actively track calories but since October I've been trying to lose weight by cutting down on the rubbish and probably hit a deficit 4 or 5 days a week.

I should have said the 3 nights will be in a row (hence the leaning to PPL)

For pre workout is 10 minutes on the rowing machine enough or should I doing something specific depending on what groups I'll be training?

I don't know how much I weigh, but since October I've dropped from a 48in waist to 42/44 and I'm starting to see slower progress.

Do I need anything apart from flat trainers, water and a towel for my actual workout?

Well done on losing the inches already, fat loss will naturally slow down as you plateau and as there is less fat to lose. Try and mix it up a bit with a few different exercises or rep/set combinations to keep your body guessing and don't get disheartened by it.

Make sure your trainers don't have cushioning in if doing leg work, if they do take them and do it in your socks.

As JB said above keep any cardio you do to after lifting weights and not before (light warm up doesn't count) as it affects your strength, endurance and technique.

Maybe considering getting one session with a PT to make sure your form is good. Remember lighter weights with good form is better than heavy weights and bad form.

If you start looking for supplements I would suggest creatine monohydrate for strength and muscke building and CLA's for fat loss.

Keep up with the healhy eating (minimising alcohol and sugar helps) but allow yourself the odd treat day.

England have a great openside playing in Toulon.

We have a pretty good (if erratic) fullback playing in France too.

But the RFU says they are not open to selection so what can we do. They are both getting on a bit though (for their respective positions) and will likely lose pace sooner than later.

It was good to see Billy V last the whole game, but just wait until Nathan Hughes qualifies to play for England. The world won't know what's hit it!

I wouldn't be suprised if Hughes play at six for England. It was his position in NZ and he only moved to eight when he joined Wasps.

Jones seems to have a bit of a man crush with Billy and I don't think he will drop him and I think he might have doubts about Robshaw.

Either way it will be great to have some decent options at six and eight, we just need to get a great seven who can actually dominate the breakdown.

I said to my mates during the game that Haskell is a relic from the dark days of England rugby before Lancaster took over. He needs to be moved on. Even when he's at his best he's never better than a 7/10.

Hopefully Clifford gets up to speed quickly and can be trained to be a proper openside and dominate the breakdown.

  8. Wales have not been a good team for a while now; but they always massively raise their game against England whilst we seem to regress. Hopefully Jones can change this and make us a genuine force. England need to start winning the six nations again (hopefully this year) as we need a winning mentality if we are to challenge the southern hemisphere teams. Our record this millennium is poor.

Hopefully McCloskey gets the nod for Ireland. Sexton, McCloskey, and Henshaw would make for a interesting (and big) midfield.

I don't think it'll be a pretty game against the English. I expect a lot of kicking from both teams as both defences are sound. England's strength in depth will probably see them nick it in the end.

If Ireland play a lot of kicks it could come back to bite them; England's backs are good under a high ball and like running it back.

  10. We were forward heavy against Italy as they are very pack orientated and can afford to bring another back in. It's a shame that Lawes has gone as I think he is our best lock but I think he is carrying an injury.

Of the entire run, the ones that you can skip (to date anyway, they may become more important as the movies go on) are the Incredible Hulk and Iron Man 2. The Hulk is just a Hulk movie and so far the only tie in has been a single joke in the Avengers and a supporting character appearing again in Civil War.

If you do skip Hulk having a vague idea who General Ross is might help when watching Civil War, there is also a slight chance that his character might get further development in phase three as Hulk might miss Avengers 3.1.

I also think Hulk is one of the best films in the franchise and definitely worth watching, I am a Hulk fan though so might be biased.

    Age of Ultron. Enjoyed it.

Hulk and iron man fighting made me chuckle.

Scarlett Johansen looking incredible (how the hell could banner walk away from that?) The psychic chick always pretty hot.

The film was ruined by having to have every character in it and too much going on; hate to think what Avengers 3.2 will be like with about 50 main characters.

I'd like to see Luther Burrell given another chance, and Henry Slade would be worth a shout when he comes back from injury.

Burrell is a good shout and I like the look of Slade. I'm just glad that we have decent options and that I don't have to pick the partnership. Hopefully Jones can spot the best combination and give them plenty of time to develop together.

I was drifting along on a low slow boat when I dropped my arm in to the water to see the ripples and cool down a bit.

A flying fish shot out of the water and skimmed the surface in a silvery flash.

**** **** **** see the youtube Hippo video above for my reaction.

I saw flying fish off the Greek Ionian islands and was really suprised and impressed by how far they can go. Incredible creatures.

  16. The Mantis Shrimp as it is the Bruce Lee of the animal world.

"These creatures are sometimes referred to as “thumb splitters” because their claws are strong enough to split human appendages. These highly intelligent creatures are often monogamous and they get to know and regularly interact with their neighbors. The mantis shrimp also has the best eyesight in the animal world with 16 different photoreceptor types (compared to four in humans). But – what really makes these creatures badass is their ability to break out of aquariums by smashing the glass with their claws. It has a punch stronger than a .22 calibre pistol."

    Or the Immortal Jellyfish.

"The immortal jellyfish (turritopsis nutricula) has to be item one on this list because of the fact that it is immortal. That isn’t hyperbole – it really is immortal. After reaching sexual maturity, this jellyfish is able to reverse its aging process and become a polyp again. The ability to reverse the life cycle is probably unique in the animal kingdom, and allows the jellyfish to bypass death, rendering the Turritopsis nutricula biologically immortal. Lab tests showed that 100% of specimens reverted to the polyp stage."

That picture of a robber is not something I'm going to blame him for . . .  the situation here is that fans can write whatever shit they want - and the abuse in the case was enormous - but then when the player reacts they go all soft and offended and 'did you see what the bad man did?'

Well, I'm sorry, but for me one good life lesson is 'if you can't take it, don't dish it out'.

Some of the abuse he has had has been way over the top and is unacceptable and it will happen to nearly anyone in the public eye. It is part and parcel of the celebrity lifestyle but he does not help himself or the club by rising to it and winding fans up.

The life lesson you mention is a good one and applies not only to celebrities but in every day life as it's not only the famous who get this kind of abuse and adults should know better.

No matter what he does he is going to get grief but 'two wrongs don't make a right' and responses like the thief pic only restoke the fire.

agreed, that extra money will only get spunked on overpriced players.  The quality of player wont suddenly rocket - the prices for bang average ones will..............

What happens if having been down for more than one season we cant afford the bang average players?
