My mom's complete inability to communicate effectively via text message/whatsapp
She's looking after my lad today. Originally we said 9:30 but our plans have changed so I text her saying basically no rush but if you can take him any earlier it would be great.
"Let me know when you're up and about and ok to take him and I'll bring him round"
Her reply at 7:30 was "ok"
I've just messaged saying "I guess I'll bring him at 9:30 then like originally planned?"
And she's said "I was ready at 7:30, I've been waiting for you"
SAY THAT THEN! You just said ok. As in "Ok I'll let you know"
You wouldn't do that in a normal conversation. Just say ok and assume you've been understood
If I'd have messaged my Dad that all I would have received in response would have been a thumbs up.

The Raplh Bakshi animated LoTR movies might also be a bit too violent (and also only covers half the books) but have you watched the animated Bilbo movie? Think that one is rather cute and pretty wholesome.
Have you got a link for the 1977 one? I've been struggling to find the full version available anywhere.

Change of plans today. Still pissed off about the game last night so I'm gonna disconnect from the world and just watch all 3 extended cut Lord of the Rings movies.
I'm counting down the days until my sons old enough to watch these.
I've already read the Hobbit (graphic novel version) to him and he loved it.
Not quite ready for the violence/scares and definitely not ready for a 3 hour film.

Watched the first Underworld movie for the first time in maybe 10 years. Great stuff. Also Kate Beckinsale in fangs
Loved those films and Kate Beckinsale is great in them.
Always annoyed me how they developed the characters in the later films though, especially the hybrid character (Michael?).

I left Doctor Who after Ecclestone, it wasn't for me, but by god I liked the episode just on. Really good, very enjoyable.
It grew on me as it went along. Not convinced by the new companion though, didn't seem to be a brilliant actress but hopefully grows with the role.

Not paid much attention to Leeds recently so never heard of him before. What an absolutely fantastic name. Sounds like a random football manager regen.

Talking about keto and spelling mistakes. I think @Demitri_Chas hacked your account.

Probably my favourite type of wine.
Devoured a really good Burgundy with lunch and now sipping a vintage port.

Not even the Chinpanzee?
Their jawline slopes backwards and isn't a chin apparently. Same with gorillas.

Sleeping off ridiculous amounts of Christmas Dinner on the sofa, when the wife mentions doing the cheeseboard.

Currently cooking Christmas dinner.
And by that I mean I'm hiding in the kitchen whilst my wife is dealing with a hyper 6 year old in the living room.
I'm drinking nice wine, listening to music and reading Villatalk while actually doing some cooking once every 10 minutes or so.

Gift from the wife. Can't wait to read this as thought I'd never read a Pratchett for the first time ever again.

Plus no fried bread - minus 3. Christmas Ruined.
Expensive bread from sainsbury's instead seeing as it's Christmas.

We substituted Scrooge for Arthur Christmas - a family favourite!
Great film, but the lad's watched it 4 times this December already.

I used to work with someone who instead of walking 50 feet to the McDonald's next door would get in their car to use the drive through.
