Why though? It's not as though we are playing good football now and just being unlucky. We've been awful to watch recently at least with fat Sam in charge we'd be awful to watch but not concede of every set play. I hope Smith can turn it round, I'd love for him to be the man that takes us forward over the next few years but its clear he's struggling with this division already. Norwich is a must win for Smith imo.

No room for sentiment in football, especially when the stakes are this high. If you're not doing good enough you get moved on, Leicester sacked ranieri 6 months after winning the league because they were getting sucked into a relegation battle. Smith needs to show why he is the man to take us forward and currently he is not doing that, 1 more game to save his job imo.

This will be Southamptons first clean sheet in a long time. We are currently the worst team in the division and I bet Norwich can't wait to play us

Even more depressing is the fact Southampton are no longer in the relegation zone as this performance has put us in it.

We are nearly half way through the season so we really don't have plenty of time to turn it around and add that to the fact we are getting worse every week its really not a good sign.

The year we got relegated the rumour was we played our u21s team for some confidence but they ended up beating us. Hopefully this isn't a similar thing!

That Harvey elliot is supposed to be a bit of a talent, intrested to see how he plays. He's the only one I've heard of though. We should be looking at setting the record for highest win in league Cup here.

No way can we lose tonight. Even if we play a second string side they can't get beat by what Liverpool will field. On to the semis.
