I knew somebody would post this 😭

I mean with the shirts themselves. I've never owned a training top, but are there any significant differences between a shirt they would wear for training and one for playing a match? Like is it a kit, or more like a t-shirt etc.

Sorry, couldn’t resist......but it depends on the manufacturer of the kits and the ‘tech’ they employ and if you are actually going to us it for more than wearing it in the stands, I find in general the training kits are ‘usually’ a lighter material than the replica kits having more vents etc, but in general can be better looking than the match kits purely because they don’t necessarily follow the age old designs. IMHO of course but others  on may have their own ideas

Out of curiosity, what makes a training top different from a matchday kit?

I’m no expert but I think one is worn while playing a matches hence being called the matchday kit and one is used during training sessions hence being called the training top

    🤷‍♂️

Indeed. And it quickly became apparent that West Ham was being used as a stepping stone.

It could be argued that most transfers are potential stepping stones (dependant on the ambition of the player and their starting position in life)

Konsa started off as player at Senrab  (Sunday Football Team) where John Terry, Ledley King, Rio Ferdinand all started also J'Lloyd Samuel (R.I.P)

erm, I have had experience with this club and how it works and yes they ‘produced’ some names over the years many from the recent past and play up to that fact WAY too much, unfortunately I think this has actually hindered many good prospects as well as alienating many more (but willing to take this convo to DM/PM whatever it is called/referred to here)

    You’re just showing off now...

    😜

I do think some of your suggestions have been really good over the years I have been on here and think we may have missed a trick or 2, 3, 5 and you are way more balanced in your judgement that without mentioning any names than some on here.

    Looking at you @sir_gary_cahill

In the six seasons before Ashley took over Newcastle in June 2007 they finished 4th, 3rd, 5th,  14th, 7th and 13th.

In twelve years since they've been relegated twice, finished 15th in 14/15 when they were still in danger of going down on the final day and finished 16th in 12/13.

I'm not saying they should be regulars in top 6 as like us that is a bit of a pipe dream but they certainly should be regular top half finishers, they've barely played in europe last decade and done little in the cups (something Ashley has admitted he isn't bothered about).

Grabbed this from Reddit I think

    0:0 yesterday evening against Cliftonville.

Our first european game in 16 years and we didn't lose against the seeded team so that was a massive result AND could help our coefficient in a future year should this ever happen again.

In truth they were better than us, but our defending was absolutely rock solid and their attack was timid. They had something like 65% posession but then our keeper had to make 2 saves in 90 minutes.

Away leg next Thursday and yesterday's result means a score draw works for us. Absolutely ridiculous.

When UEFA sent us the pass codes to log in to the official team section of the website, they'd basically just reopened our old account. It had all the old record in there, all the old contact details and information. As far as UEFA are concerned, we're the same team. Just fan owned these days.

Yesterday evening, we earned more than last year's entire budget.

Best of luck to your boys tomorrow, fella

Easy, just get Dion to rock up and do a homes under the hammer type thing, get 2 local (Villa supporting) agents in, do a valuation. Do the few renovations outlined and recommended in the other threads, then invite the agents back to add a few million to their original valuation and say ‘easily worth £1 billion in todays market’ job done...

Oh bugger he is in France at the moment for the WWC

Pretty much this. Under rule E.54

    But,

So, they are doing it, it would seem because there's at least an element of uncertainty in the value placed on the ground in the sale, as to whether it was true market value. The quotes are from the PL handbook section on FFP. The handbook can be downloaded as a pdf from that internet thing, for anyone wishing to obtain a powerful non-prescription sedative.

I know that I am about to get a loud of stick for this but it’s Saturday night, I have had a few and I am watching the Killers rock Glastonbury, so bugger it.

This guy gets unnecessary stick in my view. He gets his head down, works hard, is very professional, never moans and is diligent in his work. I thought he did really well in the final third of the last season and I also think he is a good man to have in the squad.

There. I said it. Tin hat on 😎

I too have had a few beverages, but the killers is a step too far for me.

But anyway, I think he has been decent ‘enough’, I was a little, ooh wow when we signed him but that Coleman tackle messed with his head a bit I think.
