  1. It's all niches I would say Bailey is a wide forward or winger. Personally I think he could become a striker. He isn't a number 10 that is for sure.
  2. Steven Gerrard doesn't play wide forwards.
  3. He must be awesome for someone to pay that price etc at his height.... There is no way he won't get out muscled and out jumped though, that is just basic science
  4. Height is needed as a centre back in our league. You have to be 6 foot to be able to get on this ride.
  5. They just wanted to write something about Martinez. 6 foot is small for a centre back now but it isn't exactly far off average. I wouldn't sign Martinez at 5'9" as a centre back.
  6. In their prime, and players I saw play for us my shortlist would be (not including OAP's we signed so no Ginola/Pires/Schmeichel/Terry etc).... Mellberg, Laursen, Alan Wright, Barry, Milner, Grealish, Merson, Angel, Taylor, Benteke, Ugo The three I would pick out of them would be...... Grealish, Milner, Laursen.... Martinez Carlos/Laursen Cash Digne Kamara/Barry Milner Buendia Grealish Ings I'd go with that and look to buy a striker
  7. I feel his positional play (18 yard box only) and proven scoring record would benefit us. I believe if he was first team here his XG would be more than Watkins. It is all academic though to me as like I said he isn't worth the fee required this summer and I would rather fix elsewhere first. I know he would have went to arsenal anyway but a smart move would have been Zinchenko as he is a good player for a good price and could cover 3 positions for us. (3/6/8)
  8. I would love Abraham here but he isn't worth the fee required now, he was worth his transfer fee to Roma.
  9. Arsenal have got some very good players in this window.
  10. Bingo! Then list who has gone and joined since it is laughable not to be able to get 5 more points.
  11. And that is sniffing around 5-7th usually
  12. Wouldn't surprise me if he went back to Chelsea
  13. Capable of replacing him is the way I would put it. I felt we needed the same at left back too, it is hard to bring in better so you get someone close that hopefully develops to be better.
  14. If you think cash and Guilbert is the quality required to get us where we want to be, that’s fine. I don’t
  15. Disagree. Chamber and Konsa are centre backs. KKH needs to go on loan to a championship side and do it there - That is my stance on pretty much all youngsters. Guilbert is ok but has a short contract now.
  16. We have two first team full backs plus now a loan player and a 37 year old. None of the kids are ready yet, we definitely need a right back.
  17. Yep and if you have the money for a forward why wouldn’t you buy a full back or midfielder beforehand
  18. He is a very well known player.... I wouldn't sign him personally but he is a good player.
  19. If he is still as good as he was at Liverpool then he is some player.
  20. Coutinho was someone not wanted at the club and no one wanted to sign for the financial package it would take. What was extraordinary about the deal was the financial package that it took in the end, not that we signed him.
