Baker DOES NOT HOOF when he plays for BC

Bristol v ManUre
Bit sickening seeing BC making a fist of it, getting stuck in, moving the ball well with purpose when they have it, when they do go long it sticks or they get a throw in, keeping possesion/creating chances from throw ins.
Lee Johnson doing a great job with limited resources, Bruce cant even beat top 6 (or is it top8?) in the championship, let alone beat 3 PL teams. yes they are cup games, we couldnt even beat Boro.
Lerner, Mclose, Lambert, Captain Bellend and Bruce have literally numbed us into a low sense of expectancy.
Bruce really must go.
We need someone who can instill a bit of positivety into our play and create a bit of fear into our CH rivals.
We are AVFC ffs
Gone are the days when we were stagnating watching everyone around us pass us by waiting for Lerner to sell up so that we could take on a new directive and philosiphy.
Now were waiting for Bruce to give up and go (or get sacked) so that we no longer have to witness teams playing better football and/or taking points off us as we slide down the table whilst the likes of Cardiff, BristolC are above us soon to be followed by SheffU Leeds & Boro

What managers are not in the top 6......18 of them.
I‘m pretty sure any of those 18 would break their balls to have a shot with this squad.

The problem is there always seems to be something.
Needing a pre season.
Having that holding player to allow the team to attack.
Now it's the forward line.
I'm still waiting for when the manager might actually take responsibility for under performing
.
Yeah, but we all know that it‘s the hysteria thats the problem.
It can‘t be ffp because we‘ve spent what we can
We‘ve had a preseason
and 2 transfer windows
It cant be the defence because Hutton can play RB & LB, We got Samba ......oh he‘s injured. We have Elphick and Richards, What‘s with our youth players? oh yes I remember, we had Baker......what happened to him? is he injured too?
It cant be MF because .......er......well we have loads of em
The only thing it could be is the goal scoring.
But wait we have a MFer who can score a hattrick, A wide player chipping (more than) in.
We spent 30+mill on goal scorers
Well we have Kodjia - but we dont because he‘s injured - maybe he was brought back too soon
We have Gaby - but he‘s been injured too
RHM - He‘s been injured
Davis has picked up an injury too (i read that on here - is it true?)
Hogan was injured
McC - well he‘s in the land of Oz but I hear he‘s injured too
Injuries - I hope its not just the forwards!
Well we had Green out injured too, Jedi and Terry, Grealish?
Is there a pattern here?
is it the ages? Terry, Jedi, Gaby,
Kodjia? Hogan? McC?
Not fit enough?
Overplayed?
Medical staff?
I guess one could be simplistic in an answer of, The one(s) responsible for putting that lot together!

Or even, just watch the games and use your memory, crazy thought.
The problem with that is that there is no garantee that the one watching actually understands what is going on during a game.
So Stats are actually quite usefull for those.

Maybe if Bruce learned to play the piano he would know how to pick and set up a team? It's got to be worth a go surely.
Naaaa, some people just dont “ ‘av it“

FWIW. I am solidly in favor getting Bruce out now, since sooner is not possible. However, I will be Absolutely gutted if we are not promoted. (And probably completely insufferable for several years as I will likely end every post with “SEE, I TOLD YOU SO” for at least three years.)
See, I told you so

How's that glass house? Careful of those stones!
You appear determined to win an arguement, the thread, VT, the internet even the whole world, universe and the probability factor of 42

The Brucer Outers will be happy come May if we fail to get promoted
That doesnt even scratch the surface of what will happen to the squad & staff should we not go up this season

I follow him on Instagram, he's genuinely an interesting guy. He plays piano, does adventurous life experience type things (not just posting pictures of Dubai hotels like every other footballer) and bought his grandad a massive car for his birthday.
Makes me think he's a proper person rather than the average dullard footballer.
It‘s also scientifically proved that playing a musical instrument (more likely an understanding of music and the mental/physical coordination that is involved) helps develop the brain and learning abilities.
I think it‘s safe to say that there is a serious lack of Piano-players posting in the Bruce thread

This thread has gone nuts.
I‘m beginning to think that the Bruce-Ball has seriously effected some peoples perception of reality

See people are wrong his record inst atrocious against the top teams its away to these teams. We beat Derby last year quite comfortably, beat Cardiff, Wednesday, Fulham all at home. He needs to improve his record at these places I certainly agree with that but I think its incorrect to say he cant beat the top sides
You do know that the semi is a home & AWAY which we have to have either on agg. win or Pens win.
The final is by definition an AWAY game

Funny how Xmas lightens the mood...
I've gone from finding @Grasshopper's dogged pursuit of Steven Bruce's balls on a plate unpalatable at best, to perceiving it and him as perhaps the most gifted comedian Villa Talk has ever witnessed.
And I mean that sincerely.
Your unyielding repetition now has me cracking up as I deck the halls with boughs of holly, mate.
I‘m surprised Bruce isn‘t doing it for you

Just for a bit of clarity in this thread.
No avoiding the question
deflecting tactics
irrelevant stats used to back up arguements for arguements sake
views changing which ever way the wind blow
Here‘s my stance
BRUCE OUT

But the offer is only on the cards if you think a new manager will get us promoted this season?
So what you think?

The coaches too
Calderwood clements & Agnew too
And as soon as Wyness & round have „administrated“ their way through new appointments & signings for the window

Time will tell, he has had two shit results in Millwall then Derby.
2 games we should have taken a minimum of 4 points from.. we came away with 1..
yep total shit pts total & ppg
win ratio is also shit
goals scored also shit
Clean sheets ratio
GD too
2 hours ago, AvfcRigo82 said:'IF' he loses the next 2 games then that will be 1 pt from a possible 12.
sackable statistics
2 hours ago, AvfcRigo82 said:Time will tell I guess but I stand by my judgement from what I have seen so far.
We‘re 1 defeat away from a Motivational speech from DrT
2 defeats away from DrT having to make a decision

Out of interest, who out there thinks if we stick with Bruce there is zero chance of promotion but we sack him now there is good chance of promotion. Any takers ?
I‘d take it.
I‘ve been wanting to „take it“ since the Cardiff defeat in January

Also, offering a contract doesn't mean it's accepted.
correct
3 hours ago, Stevo985 said:grasshopper's idea is a good one,
Absolutely 100% correct
3 hours ago, Stevo985 said:but one that Bruce and any other decent manager would have probably turned down.
Hmm
I‘m not so sure about that.
Bruce was out of work at the time. He resigned from Hull pretty early and other clubs could have offered him something before we did.
But more importantly, as Bruce indeed said himself „I‘ve waited 20years for a job at a big club“ (unless he didnt mean us). So I think he would have taken it even if he’d only been offered a years supply of Kebabs and an effective Carb-blocker
