  1. Was really hoping he would get some game time yesterday. Would have been interesting to have two big guys up front at the end and really giving it a go! I don't know why Tim doesn't give him a go. He seemed to do okay in preseason, but appreciate that's different. Hope he stays and is utilised more as think we have a talented player on our books. We should at least give him a go!
  2. Hi, Been following this forum for quite sometime and even posted a few comments before it's become more locked down (but that's probably a good thing). However want to get more actively involved now. Really wanted to highlighted the fact that Kozak should have come off the bench last night, I'm a big admirer of him and think he deserves his chance. Anyway bit about me. I try to go to about 6 games a season. Going to crystal palace next week! Currently live in London but about to go travelling so may have more free time to post. Pete
  3. It was Dunne who lost the ball to Berbatov. Dunne did the unusual mistake that cost a goal. nope cuellar is the one who while under no pressure on the right with the ball at his feat under total control with no utd player anywhere near him decided to turn back and pass it to a utd player, the ball then went to the other side of the pitch where the dunne mistake happened. cuellar was the one for me who made the mess up. Don't really think you can use that logic mate, although I agree he didn't have the best of games. Really gutted, cause thought we had started so well, but just got a little scared after they scored there goal. Had to take as well with 'that decission'! Hopefully it'll give us that extra dessire to succeed in the fa/league!
  4. Awesome performance from the lads! Petrov for me was solid in midfield, were really defending from the front nowe as well! And Milner...well as work ethic goes i don't know a better player. Sprint down attack, sprint back defend... Went to game in (in Man U end unfortunately) and was the other end of the ground to the villa fans, but they made all the atmosphere! really proud of the villa support! Just had to try and stop my self singing along half the time. And did well not to celebrate for the goal, but seriously some of the decisions!!!!!!!!!! OUTRAGEOUS! Carew hacked down was just ridiculous, should have been at least a yellow card, but thats what you get at old trafford though. But at leats the ref made a great decision with booking rooney for the dive! (and it really should have been atleast 4/5 mins injury time, but was funny to see Fergy complain (and hear me obviously swear on motd!lol) Anyway, who cares bout all that, Villa beat Man U @ Old Trafford (it's good saying that!) Now, who to support in Arsenal v Liverpool (draw i'm thinking would be good!)
  5. Taking a positive from the game, Heskey, who we've been mocking recently, actually looks like he can play football and seems to have his eye for goal back! If he continues in the way he played y'day I would suggest dropping Carew! And i was so pleased to see NRC starting! - he makes such a difference in the middle - although just don't let me shoot!
  6. I really have to praise our closing down today, just didn't allow Chelsea much time on the ball. For me the standout player was James Milner again. He's really starting to play well, and has made such a difference to our team this year. Plus got to hand it to MON for the good transfers last window (although annoying late!). Think we were all very worried when it looked like we didn't have any defense, now i think we are very solid!
  7. I don't think we can really fault the effort tonight, very impressed with Milner (as usual), Cuellar, Shorey, Young and Delph! It's looking good for us, but unfortunately we can't get by defending for that long a time, as soon as we scored our 2nd we defended none stop until they scored. Have to give credit where credit is due, they put up a good performance tonight, very impressed with there one touch passing! Now we have to have a good run in the cups, otherwise i think our season could drift into mid-table-ness! Lets see what the new signings can do for our defence, there gonna have to come straight in after Davis's injury!
  8. Is there anywhere on this site where there is a list of all the songs sung at VP? If not there should be, just so people can check they get the lyrics right cause people sing different lines to the same songs sometimes! Although it doesn't really matter as long as everyone is singing along!
