Okay just trying to catch up on whats happening with this story. Is this correct? Please correct me if I'm wrong:

Israel apparently kicked Palestine people house of houses decades ago. Hamas now control Gaza. Hamas randomly attacked and killed lots of innocent Americans/Europeans who was at a peace concert and parade their bodies around. Israel fight back and bomb Gaza. Few more back and forwards between the two. Israel now gearing up to take the terrorist organisation out of Israel and free Palestine from Hamas?

Sounds too logical for most people

Supposedly Hamas have a range of different rockets they use so it’s not easy to compare.

However, could it also be possible that the rocket triggered a larger explosion?

Hospitals will have tanks of oxygen for patients, stores of fuel for backup generators etc. It might be plausible that the rocket caused something else on site to explode?

Twitter isn't a very reliable source. I've no idea why people use it to get information on current affairs. You've no idea if what you're scrolling through is true. If you want the news go to reputable media websites.

That's why I asked here, because I don't speak Arabic.

There you go again, falling into the antisemitism trap.

Nothing to do with the 'evil Jew', it's the evil Israeli regime. Just as condemning jihadism is not Islamophobic.

They're evil for wanting to wipe out a terrorist organization that is detrimental to the safety of the Palestinian citizens they are meant to govern? I'm not really sure what people think they should have done in response to the barbaric slaughterings last weeks, especially when those were committed by individuals who have stated they want Israel and all Jews wiped off the map.

I can't believe it's a week later and people still think Israel should do nothing, leave the hostages, and let Hamas grow. Only terrorists, and not Palestinians, win in that situation.

Just as being objective is not Islamophobic or Palestinianphobic...

    This is good news right?

Hamas has to go. They are a terrorist organization that do not care about and in fact are a major barrier for Palestinian society to grow. Unfortunately, since there is no current Palestinian democracy, there is no other way to eradicate them other than by brute force.

There was an Israeli politician, Golda Meir, who said (back in the day) "If the Arabs put down their guns there would be no more fighting. If the Israelis put down theirs there would be no more Israel." Things have got worse since then and it’s no longer true in my view, but it’s still embedded in the Israel mindset and in their politicians, who regularly say the same thing. And it’s still embedded in the mindset of quite a lot of Israel’s friends in the west.  The relevance is that it is the context of a lot of the attitudes of one side of this horrible situation.

    What is untrue about it?

It's also pretty hollow coming from him given that I'm sure he's already done this same crime in retaliation but x10.

Excuse me? Are you accusing, with no evidence, that Netanyahu has beheaded 400 babies?

love to hear your thoughts on what tactic you would suggest?

And on the other side of the coin? The Hamas infiltration on Oct. 7th was the 2nd largest (on absolute numbers) terrorist attack in history. I don't want to hear "it's revenge against the oppressor" or "it was 50 years in the waiting" or "Israel is currently doing the same thing". Whichever "side" you are on (I put that word in quotations because, contrary to current belief, it is possible to not be strictly pro or anti for one side but just want all people to live in peace and safety) or whatever the reaction has been, there is absolutely no excuse for the actions on Oct. 7th. If there was no threat of events like that happening, there would be no border fence to begin with. Genuinely interested to hear what people think Israel should have done in response? Neutralize the infiltrated terrorists and seal up the border until the terrorists regroup and do this again? Say "you got us" and just pack up and leave?

There's one thing for sure though, it's a completely unsolvable problem. There is no solution to the conflict.

Only thing remotely possible as a solution would be Egypt taking control of Gaza (again). Then trying to find a workable solution in West Bank.

Egypt do not want the Palestinians, nor do any other Arab country. I wonder why.

Would this be the only time ever that the world cup has returned to the same confederation 12 years after its last trip?

No. Every 2nd tournament used to be in Europe:

    2006-Germany

    1998-France

    1990-Italy

    1982-Spain

    1974-West Germany

    1966-England

    and so on

CONMEBOL went 36 years between tournaments (1978-Argentina and 2014-Brazil)
