Here's a mad idea. Sell him for £7-8m with a £15-£18m buy back. Or something along those lines.

Immediately helps with FFP (especially as he's homegrown) and we can just buy him back in 2 years time if he goes on to be successful. It's a trend you're seeing with all the big clubs at the moment. Look at what Chelsea did with Livramento - he was far and away one of their best youngsters, but they did what they did to probably help them spend more money on Lukaku/Havertz etc. (not exactly gone well).

I'm convinced these types of deals are just a way to fiddle the books anyway and everyone benefits.

    Pelters welcome.

In an ideal world this would be perfect, but players are infected by greedy in most cases terrible vermin that we call football agents, it would be a huge mistake to allow a player to have complete control

  2. Writing him off is ridiculous, we still have him contracted for another year, still huge potential in him and can definitely see him being a fine security guard at the club shop

  3. I won't be buying a jersey with a printed badge , if they offer a proper badge for a premium price , then I have no problems paying that. I can pick up cheap printed jerseys in a market for a tenth of the price if I wanted

Liam Delap is an interesting one as well. With Man City signing Haaland and Alvarez I’m not sure how he would get a look in, and surely he wouldn’t be happy with playing in the Carabao Cup until he’s 23.

While discussing ex Irish internationals son, love to see us look at Callum Kavanagh, looked really good against our academy for Boro in a game I watched, be great addition to our young talent

  5. This is a tough one, he instantly improves us,

For me Ty's mistakes are definitely an issue but still think he is too good a player to move on

Konsa had bad season but the footballing brain is still brilliant and could be a star in future,

    Chambers covers many positions,

Hause is the one that may become surplus to requirements,

For me with all that considered and hause moves on , the lad from Rangers might be the better option , young with potential and covers left back

We are apparently the new Everton because we signed two players aged 29. Heaven above.

We were the new Fulham till we became stable again, these people don't have peripheral vision

  7. Might not be the player he was and won't start the whole time but this would be huge for the club, coutinho coming in has already lifted the profile of the club , this has similar affect, in a world cup year this would really help put our club in the spotlight

Last few months he has been sitting in the stands, he has apparently been fit and not played a game in the league since February and he was dragged off when Liverpool were losing

    That seems a bit concerning,

alway concerns me when a player is in a high profile relationship, only speculating after what you said but off field getting in the way?

I disagree and it also allows us to play different formations. We need two defensive minded midfielders this summer for balance.

5 subs next season? If so your gonna see a lot more use of squads

He needs a loan to the Champ. If he thinks he's too good for that he's sorely mistaken.

Your exactly right, perfect would be Norwich under Dean but not a hope that happens till his contact situation is sorted

Nakamba is not good. No one really likes to say it cos he is a lovely smiley fella and always gives his best. which is true.
Yes he breaks up play well but theres little point in that if he immediately gives it back to the opposition by either underhitting a pass or running into an oppponent.
At this point in time I would be giving all the minutes to big Tim to learn his craft in the prem when there is little at stake. His ceiling is so much greater than Marv

Don't really want to get into this in the transfer thread, but he was our best player for Gerrard before his injury,

Can we improve this position 100% and we should, but Marv is definitely valuable to this squad

  12. Scrolling through Twitter looking for news on this and seen few clips of him playing beside Sturridge when he was at his best, as a pair they really complemented eachother.

So got me thinking, which of our strikers fit the mold of Sturridge in that Liverpool team, for me it might be Archer

  13. Think I'd tell him take few weeks off, go home to Jamaica or what ever he wants and come back fit for pre season,

Is no way we are getting shot of him in summer ,  no one will gamble on his injuries
