    Eriksen to Manure confirmed.

Doesn't get near our starting 11 with coutinho and buendia playing in similar positions, nice to see teams above us signing players we can say that about

Is Wesley the biggest flop we’ve ever had, given how much we paid for him? Obviously his decline is somewhat beyond his control given the injury he sustained.

Balaban was worse, at least Wesley scored a couple of goals but for me was still useless before injury, it's not a luc nilis situation where the guy looked a world beater before the injury

I wouldn't sell Sanson for less than £12m. He's good enough to start for us.

If it gave us better chance to sign Carney on a new deal , then I'd be all for letting him leave, but other than that I'd prefer to keep him around, really has been treated unfairly in his time here (injuries aside)

Sounds like due to "clubs" Villa get the pick of the best suitor which is great

I can imagine half the league would take him

Only caught a glimpse of it but the booking looked daft tonight, England will need him going forward though, I think they'll rotate him out of the final group game

Booking killed him, was walking the line for rest of his game time, really needs to work on his passing but seems to read game well and is proper unit

You're taking the piss, right? Comes from a rough town in Colombia but managed to avoid getting involved in gangs around there, married his childhood sweetheart at 18 and they're still together, helps less fortunate families in his home town who can't afford food or presents for their children at christmas, has also set up foundations for kids from the area to play football to keep off the streets and away from gangs, does endless charity work.

But yeah gets carried away on a football pitch sometimes = "pure scum"

That's great that he looks after people at home fair play,

Think someone already said this in a reply, I'm judging him on what he has done on the field, the elbow he hit Scott brown with (who is someone else Id rather not see in a villa jersey because of his behaviour on field) that incident was scummy and has a lot more like that. When I say pure scum , it has zero to do with him off field, the Suarez thing I said in jest

Very brief highlights from last season, but some good skills and goals

Will be interesting to see how he gets on in pre-season.

Lots of talk about Carney in last few days, I think this guy could be the best of a very good crop coming through, love to keep him around the first team for a full season, training with EmiB and coutinho for a long period of time would be huge benefit

  8. It feels similar situation to angel gomes , I looked online and only article I could find said man u received 260k compensation , he was 19 when he left on a free , pretty much same as chuck, the longer this goes on the less likely he is staying, agents are more and more advising players to run down contracts , love the guy to stay but we will need to move on If he doesn't, I fully believe in the people behind making our deals at moment in our club and believe they will have moved heaven and earth to keep him but the ball is not in our court

Aaron Hickey is a strange phenomenon. Loads of teams linked to him, almost none seem to have actually bid.

Doesn't make sense for us really, as good as he looks to be. We aren't in a position to buy someone for £20m and have them not starting. If it's happened...it's because the signing hasn't worked out (yet).

Listen to interview with Nesta early in week, was surprised how open he was about how poor Serie A has become, wonder if premier League teams are slightly hesitant about risking big fee's on players coming from Italy

We get it you hate him. I am guessing you probably enjoyed the delightful wonders of Bruceball or Traore nicked your missus

    One or the other 😛

You post clips of him that are edited down to make him look good, it doesn't help a discussion, no I don't hate him , I enjoyed his good moments in a villa jersey , when he delivered at big moments, yes there is times he did that, that you could have posted.

For me a player has to offer more than tricks and moments, buendia is perfect example, the guy is magical to watch but along with that he will work hard for the team

People that dont like Traore just dont enjoy football, the guy is an entertainer and a maverick. He might not be the most tactically disciplined but he is what football is supposed to be about especially now with all the crap surrounding the game

And why dose the clip cut at that point? I'll tell you why, he runs with the ball , hits a pathetic shot that the keeper palms no problems

Perhaps harsh, but we'll have to disagree. I think many many many other wingers could have been signed who would have had a successful time playing with Grealish absolutely flying.

I bet most of them wouldn't be being bombed out on loan or for a cut fee two years later either.

A player who would have succeeded in 2000, not the uber tactical 2020.

The people that love this guy are the same people that probably scored an ok goal at some point in their childhood and forever thought they were an ok footballer, these people don't live in reality

  13. Has skill pace but has zero footballing brain, always capable of playing a stupid ball across his own goal, then the biggest issue with him was his workrate, terrible team player, I'll be glad to see the back of him

Then one year later sign for Man City because they paid his release clause and “he needs to play the highest level he can”

Pep will then proceed to play him in approx 20% of the seasons matches….

Pretty much that snake Delph situation

The whole team were gash last night, this is a guy who has come back from an injury with a 14 game lay off from a bad hamstring injury. Followed by very little match time and probably thrown into the Leeds squad far to early to save them from relegation. Then the bright spark Safegate throws him straight into internationals. I think he's a good player with a great engine, but not £60m

His form was poor before the injury, was one of many of that English euros squad that started the season awful
