Why do people want player that plays in formation we won't play, is only 4th for tackles per game in his team and puts him 7th best compared to tackles per game in Villa squad?
This stats always annoys me, if your playing in a team higher in the league I would assume by having majority of possession you would therefore tackle less? I could be completely wrong, only looking at this by logic but I don't really look at stats so for all u know a city player maybe to in our league

Great to see him hitting ground running, poachers goal, see out the season at Preston and revaluate in summer, ideally a full season on loan but if he starts scoring every game this season, well then questions need to be started to be asked closer to home

Hypothetical scenario: If we were to sign Kamara and Bentancur but sell Dougie, would you be happy with that?
Think the Carney variable comes into this aswel, dose bringing in both mean Carney dose not sign long term deal?
-
Best case he signs extension. 12 months ago he was so important to our midfield , this would have been a nightmare to think we could lose him, but in that time period we have become a lot less dependent on him that of course would be a loss but not a disaster
-
Tell him he is free to leave if a bid from team outside the league comes in that is acceptable, otherwise run his contact down
-
Reading all of this the past few days, I've never heard of him or seen him play,
So he passes ball well
He is not great attacking
Some fans like him others not so much
He basically sounds like Jordan Henderson
-
This guy is an incredible player, he is exactly what we need, great defensively and brilliant going forward, amazing player. In reality I've never heard of him, know nothing about him, who watches Italian football anyway?

Just reading the Everton statement over the incident after our goal, very surprised they have not issued some type of apology

The club is in such a good place at the moment, even the way they are announcing these new contracts is top class, the players are being made part of the community , long time since I've seen so many like EMI that care so much about the club.

I don't understand this. He's hardly played due to injury so there's nothing to turn around. He's barely even started.
I said exactly that in my post,
Turn it around:.
1: get himself fit
2: develop some bit of form
3: become a regular starter
I haven't slated, I've only said his time here hasn't been good so far, I'm sure if you asked Leon himself he would agree, I haven't gone in on him at all, so I would say I don't understand your issue with my post.

We've lost eleven games this season, Brighton have lost four. From what I've seen and the match reports I've read, Bissouma makes it very difficult for opposition players to get by him, so this must contribute considerably to their relative lack of losses.
Think it was said earlier in this thread, our game against Brighton this season, he was best player on the pitch, for majority of game he had control of it, think was after that game i boarded the hype train

Pray to God he can turn it around here.
Of course he has been injured most of his time here so can't be too hard on him but his time here so far has been disastrous.
Where I will defend him is, the games he played under Gerrard, the team in a whole were getting to grips with the narrow system Gerrard likes to play.
Needs to put his head down now and force his opportunity

He's come on as a sub with just over twenty minutes to go. They're winning 2-0.
Just turned it on to see him, worth it already to hear a Scottish commentator try say his name

I'm thinking Ings if I'm honest.
Gerrard has bigged up Ollie many a time, and Ollie never gets subbed , STILL, no matter the game he is having. ( Was the same with Deano ).
I think Ings is way too good to be a 2nd choice striker, and doesn't necessarily suit the system.
With his age and pedigree, I have a feeling he won't be happy.
Many a couple would take him as well.
As we know, it could all be absolute Bollox as well.
Suarez in , then we use ings in a deal to get bissouma, great window

Very strange, Jed had ""I'm so sad """ commented on the official IG post , was up only a min and taken straight down

Was times in the United game where Digne was picking up great positions very high up on the left, for me Mcginn is gonna be picking him out the whole time with his typical diagonal balls over the top

Was times he frustrated the hell out of me yesterday,
We were turning screw on United , moving the ball fast and had them in all sorts of trouble and then the ball would come back to Ty, it was like he was sucking the life out of attacks, would take his time on the ball before moving it and in result we were starting over.
Now saying that, his burst forward for the goal was brilliant

Hopefully be good for Everton game, be interesting if he isn't , will Feeney take role on bench or will he go for Kerr Smith , ideally we bring in another CB this week
-
If he forces a move, he would be leaving his brother in fairly awkward position
-
Seen a lot talk about a sudden change of transfers policy in last week or so, don't see it myself.
This can only be a natural evolution of our long term policy.
We started by bringing young players with great potential, that could jump straight into the side.
We started to flood our youth system with players that had a serious chance of making the step up.(which we continue to do)
Surely we are at the stage now where our young potential are at the point where we now ready start to put stars around them and that's exactly what we have started to do this window so far.

Gomez , for me I'd welcome this one.
I put myself through a Liverpool podcast earlier today to see what the Liverpool fans thought of this one, my god it was a tough listen.
So the podcast had the Irish guy I think we all remember from the 7-2 plus another irish guy ( as another Irish man this was highly embarrassing to realise our education system had produced these two gentlemen), so it began how it's probably a good move for all three parties, ok ya I'm agreeing. Then they say he walks into villa team as best CB at club, hmm I'm not sure. But then they started quoting price, get ready,
50million
No didn't make mistake he said,
50 million.
