  1. Would it be too anti-PC to say we missed NRC?
  2. Exactly and its happening because Petrov doesn't work in a 4-4-2 formation. In any case I don't see what we can gain from a 442.
  3. I said the same 6 posts before this but didn't specify what defence I'd like. So I'll come down off the fence and differ with you by going for Cuéllar rather than Dunne. If I had a gun pointed at my head and told I had to pick the team an easy cop-out would be to say "If it ain't broke don't fix it" but it doesn't apply here because MON has changed his defence and even his goalkeeper and still they don't let in goals.
  4. 4-5-1 please: Friedel Whatever back 4 MON is ever likely to choose Milner Reo-Coker Petrov Delph Young Gabby
  5. The daft thing is that Citeh are at full-strength. Not so Fulham by any means.
  6. Are Citeh losing to Fulham yet on the Beeb? Nope. clearings in the woods.
  7. Understandable though Ash isn't on the bench either. Blimey Gabby!
  8. Blimey, are there even people there who think that supporters wondering about NRC are having sly digs at MON. I'm told this isn't paranoia, mind.
  9. Enks, Scimeca & Whittingham all start for Cardiff.
  10. RBD? Undertaker? For those of us who don't understand code?
  11. I expect Luke and MON have fallen out or had fisticuffs.
  12. They might feel so ashamed that they'll go and commit suicide. How awful that would be! Yeah come on Yillan. Names.
  13. We hardly ever seem to play too well against Pompey and results aren't all that marvellous. We hardly ever seem to play too well against Fulham and results aren't all that marvellous. We weren't spectacularly good against Fulham the other week but we beat them comfortably enough. We have since added to our defensive strength. Birmingham did little to test it. Portsmouth are likely to do even less. I hope MON doesn't start with a 4-4-2 but if he does it may be excusable and understandable. I'd prefer him to do just what he did against small heath alliance - start with a 4-5-1 and change to 4-4-2 with another of those exquisitely-timed substitutions. For me ideally just the one change to the starting lineup: Delph for Sidwell. Pompey may have quite a job scoring. Whoops, just realised Jez has said much the same.
  14. Oh joy, another Beatles-related thread. The uneducated sheep-like masses seem to think Manchester United were the team of the late 20th/early 20th century. Fortunately there are just one or two of us who have eyes to see that the true innovators during this period have been Mansfield Town (cont p94)
  15. I read that too, it's top class. What an excellent report.
  16. 3 new defenders. I think they know each other well enough by now. In fact they seemed to have known each other already for a few years. I don't want to see Carlos at RB again, but what a fine, gritty defender he is, Dunne and Warnock started well and got better, Collins blimey, West Ham you wuz robbed.
  17. Not sure if it's a good idea, especially CC at right back. Fairly glad Heskey isn't starting. Bloody relieved we aren't starting with 4-4-2.
