  1. Don't judge people by (possibly) their only social outlet, mate.
  2. Well he may leave out Downing to bring him in a bit more gradually, but I think he probably decided on the basic idea of Young and Downing on the wings and Milner inside some time back so I think he'll stick with that. As for any other changes, yes, you may be right.
  3. Difficult to vote for MOTM when you haven't seen the match isn't it? Bloody great result and it sounds as though when we needed to hit them we did. Pompey scored twice and straight after each goal we scored one. Does Downing have time to book a place for South Africa?
  4. I thought petrov made every player around him shit? Mr Grumpy
  5. Another couple of goals please and then at the death 2 penalties to Pompey so Guzan can show what he's made of again.
  6. Good on ya Ivanhoe. A real slap in the face for those who doubted him. People like ME
  7. If Milner is the chosen one for CM, he'll do a fair bit of closing people down . I just hope he doen't go near our penalty area.
  8. I expect JC & MON had a little contretemps and beat the shit out of each other.
  9. A well-earned rest for Steve Sidwell! Woohoo!
  10. Cuéllar is not a very good right back. But he is a very good central defender. Of course, we don't really know what Davies, Dunne or Collins are like at right back do we?
  11. Started well on top of a poor Spurs side that couldn't settle or get ino the game. Slowly but surely it all went downhill, Spurs improved in all but their finishing and despite Heskey's very good header near the end I was praying for the final whistle. Carew started well, and Gabby looked very lively indeed. Luke Young was OK. Picking Beye and moving Young to the left was spot on and Beye was very good indeed. Dunne was generally solid. As for Cuéllar, what to say? I really think Del Bosque should think about taking him to South Africa. But apart from anything else he has a tremendous attitude. A real 90-minute worker with great concentration. A good performance by Friedel too. And finally the midfield. Milner was more than acceptable but as for Ashley Young, Reo-Coker and Petrov, the least said the better. We really cannot string passes together can we?
  12. Lennon's crap - no end product. Oh...
  13. Nice one! But it does beg the question: would you have felt the same if the dude in the Rangerover had been Ashley Cole?
  14. What I'd like to know is who this person is with a reputation as a friendless, brain-dead, toilet loitering, lying, egomaniac, nervy poor man's Shakin' Stevens who is apparently so worried about protecting his reputation. Sounds like my Dad.
  15. Good question. The answer is no. But I think he's the most successful they've ever ever had in the 21st century. Willie Maley won 16 Leagues & 11 Cups (there was no League Cup nor European Cup in those days. Jock Stein won 10 Leagues & 8 Cups plus 6 League Cups & a European Cup. O'Neill would probably be leader of the chasing pack.
  16. You may not have thought of this: start a new thread about something you want to have some banter about, and see if people want to say anything on it.
  17. love it. Justice. Lets make way for him quick Spotters badge.
  18. OK gents, zips back up now please. I'm getting drenched here. Just remember the 7 goals we beat Wigan by at Villa Park. Right. Megson then.
  19. I meant Guardiola by the way. Anyone can make a typo FFS.

    MON stay or go

So may we vote on this thread and also the new "scientific" one? Crumbs, this is fun!
  21. The Mods must surely have the ability to find out the identity of each and every person who has said no and forcing them to say what manager they would like to see in MON's place. I'd say Roberto Martínez by the way.
