  1. I watched him a few months back with the english U17 national team. I had high expectations for him, but he was disappointing. I know he was one of the youngest players there, but I expected more of him based on what I had heard of him. He showed things at practice throughout the week that made you think he could be special, but come gametime he was pretty quiet. A few good actions, but nothing that made me think he should've have had his first team debut at Fulham.
  2. Would be a great option. He was probably Eibar's best player last season. Eibar have an option to buy him for 2M euro, Barcelona then have the option to buy him back for 4M euro - both of which is expected to be used. Barcelona then expect, according to spanish insiders, to ship him off for around 8M euro. Benfica is supposedly very interested in him as well to replace Alejandro Grimaldo if/when he gets sold.
  3. *Skov Olsen But great shout! I think he would be a great option for us. I know, first hand, that a few Premiership clubs rate him highly. Not the big clubs, but teams from the bottom half. Also a few teams in Germany who are very keen on him. There was a rumor a few months ago that Barcelona wanted him for their reserve squad. Complete BS. There's another Skov in Denmark (not related btw.) that could be interesting. Robert Skov from FC Copenhagen. He finished the season as the topscorer in the league as a winger. 32 goals and 10 assists in 48 games across all competitions. He is one of the best set-piece players in all of Europe. It's ridiculous how good his left foot is. Robert Skov is a few years older than Andreas Skov Olsen (23 and 19), and he will be expensive. 20M-ish. Andreas Skov Olsen will, probably, be half that.
  4. We do. I don't have any confirmation, but we are not to be taken seriously if we aren't. I worked with the Danish FA a few months back at the U17 Elite Round Qualifications here in Denmark. Denmarks group also consisted of Croatia, England and Switzerland. Outside of working with the teams throughout their time in Denmark, I also got to talk to a few scouts from all over Europe at the games. I also had the list with all of the scouts in attendance at the game. Villa was represented at two of the three rounds, so I'd imagine we are in Poland as well.
  5. Stay away from Jorgensen. The guy is slightly better than Helenius but slightly worse than McCormack. His first season at Feyenoord was great, and should've left after that. He'll never have better opportunities than that. His wife wouldn't approve either. Birmingham isn't "hot" enough for her. London or south of Europe for her, and she will get her way. But then again, she is type that would "allow" him to move to Birmingham if the wages were good enough.
  6. Any thoughts on Santiago Ascacibar from Stuttgart? They got relegated on monday, which means he could probably be a bargain. I've only watched him a few times at Stuttgart, but I watched a lot of his games back when he played at Estudiantes. He's a beast and his profile fits exactly what he need next to McGinn and Grealish in the midfield. I'm also very interested in seeing what'll happen with Julien Fournier (the former executive at Nice). If he becomes a part of this club, we might be sitting on a goldmine. Nice has a ridiculous academy and ties to so many talented areas in France. They also have a squad were a few guys could become legit targets for us.

    Adama Traore

I don't post on here as much as I would like to, but since I've followed this guy since he was 15 I think I can enlighten some of you on this guy. Nevermind. I deleted my write-up since it was pretty much a shorter version of this. http://grup14.com/article/introducing-adama-traore-the-best-u19-winger-in-the-world For those asking, he won't be sold without a buy-back clause. Barca wanted him out on loan or sell him with a buy-back option. Spanish media reported a fee of about 9M euro, so about 6M pounds.
  8. It was confirmed. It's cited in the media. It's also a matter of controversy over the new youth football regulations since Villa are not going to be compensated for Crowley's true value. He had yet to sign a full professional contract so Arsenal are only liable to us for his training expenses. That sucks! But thanks for the quick answer.
  9. Has Daniel Crowley left for Arsenal? I've seen a lot of reports that says just that, but I can't find out if true. I know it has been discussed in here earlier, but as far as I remember, nobody back then, really knew what had happened.

    Hi

Hi. My name is Nicolai and I'm 18 and from Denmark. I've followed Villa since they beat Fulham 3-0 in december '03 where Angel scored twice. That's the first great memory I have from Premier League. I was 9 at that time and found it fascinating to see "no-nonsense" guys like Gavin McCann play the great game of football. I've lurked around this site the last year or so, I should probably have joined sooner. Now I will be marked as one of those "Okore/Helenius" fans. But that's not me! At all! I consider myself a true Villan! But I look forward to read a lot of thoughts from other Villans and share my own. Cheers!
