Time to move on. At least we know where we stand now. Rinse Citeh for all we can get but I don't think he can stay now that his head has been turned. Its not his fault, every player has a price and I'm sure the majority of pros want the best career they can have financially and in terms of being sucessful. Taking of my claret and blue glasses, he has more chance of doing this at Citeh and has clearly thought it through. We maybe could have got him signed up earlier in the year but too late since the World Cup.

Well hopefully so Woody, the frustration for me is that they didn't happen in January. That seems to me to be a sensible time for them to happen, for Ashley Young too and a couple of others, we're now in a position where our squad might fall apart because we've allowed too many contracts to get too short. That seems to be a real concern. Every year a different player seems to be due a new contract and positive noises come out that they are willing to talk, yet the response always seems to be .. wait until the summer. I know MON probably wants to just concentrate on playing matters in the season however as in the Milner issue we have not been able to talk to him properly as yet and letting the vultures make their move.

Just sen the new home top. They have a massive version of it on the side of the Sympthony Hall/ICC. Seems a bit Hummelesque to me. Not sure if I like it. But the one positive is the sponsor is in white. Not seen the away kit I'm hoping its a different style.

Didn't think Honda was a striker, he looks like the Japanese David Beckham to me. As others have said we should not just be buying players based on what they have done in the WC there are so many other things to consider and probbaly reasons why they have not moved to England earlier.

If we dont sell him maybe he becomes disillusioned and sulks around the pitch all next season like Gerrard did for Liverpool this year I don't know him personally but from what I've seen that's not in his character.

For me all 3 of the above would be good additions to the squad but none of which would get straight in the team.

Klinsmann, Zola are two that spring to mind.......... Vialli and Gullit did ok as well And Laursen (Henrik - dont think you spell it that way) , and unfortunately, Dugarry ! With players who have come from abroad and already done the business for them coming to suceed over here is all about their attitude. If they still want to progress they can adapt. If they just want the money they generally don't do the business.
