In recent weeks we have gone back to being as crap as we were under Bruce, the new manager bounce and hopes of automatic promotion feels like a distant memory now
This has been such a huge loss, I rate him very highly and expect him to be a top class premier league player, the silver lining is it slows down his development and makes it more likely we can keep him next season.
Garbage. Embarrassing how easily we got opened up by the long ball over the top time and time again. The honeymoon period is over and now its time to replace some players with new signings. Most importantly we have no creativity through the middle when Grealish isn't playing and when Axel is out we don't have a centre back who is comfortable bringing the ball out. And obviously the full backs are crap.
First time we can say Nyland won us the game, shame for him it came after we signed a new keeper. We badly missed Grealish and Tuanzebe today, without them we struggle to get the ball forward through the middle.
El Ghazi has been anonymous again, Kodjia needs to come on. I knew people were getting carried away with El Ghazi after a single good performance. If we don't win this then even the playoffs will be looking unlikely.
Until we fix this dreadful defence we aren't getting promoted and it's probably for the best, we would be eaten alive in the Premier League. The whole thing felt inevitable
It's like Bruce never left. This shows how important it is to keep Grealish and buy some back up for him. Also missing Taylor imo, never works when we play people out of position. Lose this and we can kiss goodbye to any chances of top 2 imo.
