  1. I hate to say it about Brighton but it’s obvious they are an excellent team at the moment and a brilliant ran club however as others have said similar tings have been said about Leicester Southampton etc. if they lose Mac allistier yes they will get a lot of money but they will lose a player they have been slowly nurturing through over 3 years into the excellent player he is now and to replace that is hard and same goes for ciacado and Mitoma but none the less what they have done and how they have done it this year especially after the manager leaving is very impressive. It’s easy to mock Leeds or Everton for signing poor quality players for big money but it is refreshing to see that clever hard work can still pay off too

I wasn’t a fan of the decision to strip Mings of the captaincy and give it to McGinn and I still don’t think it was a great idea but there is absolutely no need cause any more controversy by changing things around again. Like you said, he’s doing well, he keeps it. Don’t need any more drama like that going into next season.

I don’t think emery does pointless self indulgent dick measuring self destruction he is far more considered and looks at the sun of the total parts. Only a fool of a manager would upset the team dynamic a few weeks before the start of the season by changing captains for no reason, really what idiot would ever do that ? 👀

I love how after that challenge from the little btich Romero he still got up and bodied him 🤣

My favourite 2 bits are the catching son for pace (meatball rolls quick when he needs to) and then bully’s him to the floor and then turns Kane and leaves him on his arse too. I was very sceptical about his long term future but clearly competent coaching, natural talent and a incredible work ethic can see you go along way in this game, that and having the most effective arse in football.

If we are the only club offering the money it’s not impossible players leave. We weren’t mean to sign Kamara but did. I’m talking generally now. If no other club makes a serious bid there’s no harm in trying.

Any sporting player would join any premier league club given the opportunity it’s just a question of the players agent trying to get the perceived highest level club to come in for them. I would say if Brentford or West Ham or any of the other smaller sides signed this guy he would he probably trebling his money.

It’s likely to be Spurs and Chelsea in the market for a new goalie this summer. Can definitely see a bid coming in from one of them. If one of them offers big money (more likely Chelsea than Spurs), I can see us leaving the decision to him.

Spurs can’t afford him because they have a chairman that has a fit at the idea of spending any money plus they are a shambles. Chelsea can’t afford him of the back of there inspired work in the last 2 windows costing them over half a billion plus they want Anana so my view is it’s a load of rubbish

  6. We should just ignore it we all know it’s a rigged system with Man City just ignoring it for years otherwise they wouldn’t be were they are now. I think if they could pump the money in Everton would have ignored it too the difference there is the isn’t any money left

I think they will go same way as stoke now. They needed promotion this year.

Having little to no knowledge of the situation I do feel like they are on the verge of financial implosion

Wout Faes an absolute dire footballer

Person who scouted him should be sacked and his former club and agent should really be arrested for fraud

Not solely to blame for Leicester getting relegated but he is a big reason they are down there. Not a defender by any stretch of the imagination

Feels like Leicester have had it now. They’ve completely wasted all their winnable games.

The weird thing as well especially from what I saw against Everton is they played like a side not in any danger at all. The was a complete lack of urgency and energy that it almost felt like it hadn’t dawned on the players that a win would have made them almost safe.

    Leeds are fooked

I think they are, Southampton gone obviously but leeds will need another 5 points I reckon and with Newcastle, West Ham and spurs to play it’s hard to see where they will come from. The final position for me now is really looking like Leicester again looking at the fixtures and the way they defend I can’t see 5 points from Liverpool wolves and Newcastle.

it’s annoying because I really wanted Everton to go down but I do think they are like we were circling the drain for a few seasons before dropping, I can’t see them being able to strengthen much in the summer if at all and I think they have a really week squad.

  11. Feels a bit like it’s making zero difference of it was still Rodger’s or deano to me. Didn’t watch any of the game but to be 5-0 nil down to Fulham who are on the beach at starting Tom Cairney who is so far away from premier league standard he usually gets the premier league season of and comes back in when they drop down. I’d be disgusted if I was a Leicester fan but then seeing that they pick faes every week I’m bit surprised at all. Annoying though I’m desperate for Everton and Leeds to go down but Leicester seem to be trying to relegate themselves.

  12. If I was Newcastle or any side playing arsenal I would have a very wide right winger go and stand on the touch line because that zinchenco guy does not want to do his job as left back he seems to want to be anywhere but left back and watching Southampton the other week they exploited this for the first 2 goals and would have won if it wasn’t for being rubbish

We're just missing thar bit of quality in key positions, kamara back in, 2 x CL quality players in for Buendia and then out on the right and we should be there

When I watch Bailey and buendia now I can’t help thinking of spurs when they sold bale for £90 million and tried to replace him with about 4 players. I seem to remember purslow saying when Jack left that we had replaced his output across Bailey,  buendia and I think Ings but like spurs you see why the player leaving costs what they cost and trying to replace them with a few players fails because ultimately those players are so far short if the level that you lose. I know we wouldn’t have got a £70/80 million player to replace Jack but I do think you need to replace with as close to the level of quality you lose as possible not spread the numbers across 3/4 players, this isn’t baseball it doesn’t work like this in football.

    Frustrated…

Bizarrely I thought we played some good football but with no cutting edge up front

We controlled the game possession wise but they pretty much put all their players behind the ball…even before we conceded

Quality has got to be there in the final third. It was lacking today due in no small part that they are fighting for their lives and their last ditch defending was effective unfortunately….

Europe hasn’t gone but feels like it is slipping away…feck!

    UTV

I agree and I think today showed we need a massive upgrade on the likes of Bailey, Bert and buendia. The football was relatively controlled although some of the passing in midfield was a bit sloppier than normal  but in the final third I thought we lacked cutting edge to break down a really poor team who we have gifted a goal to and then defended (well) for their lives. Also I feel they treated it far more like a derby than we did I thought they seemed more up for it than we did

Traore was worth bringing back for his previous goal contributions but he's not a long term option. He just isn't. Too slow.

That’s been an awful half from traore. First touch horrid, weak on the ball, no pace or trick to beat a man far to obvious he is going to cut back onto the left foot. Crossing has also been really bad as well.

Well totle race is over another city title yawnnnnnn

    Becoming like Germany with munich

That’s the danger with city isn’t it that we become like Germany France and Scotland with the same team winning every year. I think we will be ok here because these things tend to go in relatively short cycles but it is worrying seeing a team win 4 out of 5 years. Despite what sky try to tell me I don’t even like watching city play, I find it so boring to watch seeing sides passed to death. When Barca did it under pep it was a bit better because at some point messi got it and did something special with City it’s very formulaic and boring or though technically very skilled.

Just watched this again, Merse and sherwood absolutely clueless.

Complete lack of understanding of football basics for me with no clue how badly set up, trained and managed we were or how poor a man managed gerrard was. This give him time stuff is classic rubbish from ex players watching a mate out of their depth and drowning. I assume he means give him enough time to get relegated than pile in with how much of a basket case the club is and how could anyone succeed. Thank god for emery to prove what we all know, that pair are about as inept as you can get when talking about anyone other than arsenal or spurs

I picked up on that, but he is/was quite possibly exhausted.  Mad couple of days of travel, combined with staying up all night watching video of his new team, planning training sessions, team meetings, meeting with new staff.  Bloke probably has barely slept for a few days.

This is why I don’t think this will work for Leeds, he has got what I think is one of the worst squads to ever grace the premier league (in terms of quality I will admit they do usually run around a bit) and just 4 games to get to know them and get a couple of results with 3 too 7 sides to play. Sam clearly has a game plan he always goes too for these gigs but I don’t see him being able to implement it against good sides in such a short space of time. It would have made far more sense to bring him in when they sacked Gracia but when do Leeds ever do things that make sense

Type of squad where you barely know half the players even though you've watched them a few times they left little to no impact.

You think, they've not invested enough...until you Google and realise some of these players cost 20m - 30m.

    Awful.

It’s incredible the money they have wasted just this year alone. It’s near on £150 million in fees plus I imagine some decent wages. I bet over the theee years they have managed to hang on they have spent close to £300 million in fees and if I remember rightly they were paying they Rodrigo over £100k a week first season back up. Classic example of bad management buying poor players for too much money and this is the end result.

Also as other  have said I would be ashamed of the Villa players did what the Leeds players did to they young boy. Really really poor from them

  20. This looks like to very very poor sides equally as clueless as the other. Ability wise I would say Leicester look slightly better but I’m really struggling to see the formation, there midfield looks a bit all over the place not getting to any second balls and the two Center half’s are a joke! how bad they are?

Everton, well the is a reason they are second bottom.they have bad footballers playing in a division that’s to good for them. No idea who will win this but I think if Leicester show some urgency they probably will but they are not looking like a side playing a relegation 6 pointer

Well we have about £90m sitting on the bench, I know it doesn't compare to some other clubs but it's probably about **** time we started using some of it.

If our defence is bollocks then we've got 3 Prem standard defenders there to come on.

If attack is bollocks, Bertie and Duran.

Not much going on in midfield sadly but we could shuffle the deck at least.

Our depth is not superb but what's the point in naming subs at all if we won't use them when we're tired. I don't want to hear any excuses at full-time, not a single one.

Get a grip the manager will do what’s best and given he has taken us from a relegation battle to an outside chance of Europe he is off limits to criticism
