Baena, Nico Williams, Lenglet, Joao Felix, Ferran Torres, yes please.

This would compensate for Carlos and JJ leaving, and we’d look much stronger for it.

Not sure I like ferran Torres plus he would be in Barca crazy wages but joao Felix would be a 1000% no for me. Not improving us enough to mitigate that in my opinion he is to lightweight, has a  poor attitude and will be very expensive.

  2. I see Paul Parker thinks Man Utd should go all in to sign Watkins in the summer. Does he think this is a Dwight Yorke 1998 situation. They are not the draw they think they are at the moment despite being Man Utd. I see no way Watkins would want to go to that basket case shambles club.

Confirming safety with three games to spare is certainly an achievement considering they had a very poor start (4 points from their first 7 games) and then lost an extra eight shortly afterwards.

It is a good achievement but they are an incredibly bad team so I think as much as anything it shows how poor the bottom of the league has been this year

Just for reference from Deloitte if it's been a while since posted. Villa are just below the lowest on here. It is dramatic how matchday revenues offer so few opportunities to bring in new money. Commercial revs are obviously the pot of gold.

Interesting to see that Marseille and Frankfurt are both on this list. Neither clubs are ones that jump out at me as big revenue generators but clearly I’m wrong. Would be nice to know what drives that, I’m guessing European football

So I seem to have ended up with 2 tickets with restricted view and 2 tickets with “restricted legroom”.  How bad are these tickets in block B6 in Lower Trinity corner going to be?

I often end up with k1 upper holte restricted view and you can’t actually see the far corner flag area and a strip of the wing on the witton lane stand side

So similar to Lille, the Greek League has pushed back the end of their season by a week and so allowed Olympiacos a week between both legs with no game in between.

We beat Lille even with them getting a week off. Sometimes I’m not sure it’s as much of an advantage in reality as it looks on paper especially with the way we play

VP simply needs a travelator from the city centre

A tram extension would do. Having watched baseball in San Francisco and Chicago both places had metro stations outside the ground and had multiple trains lined up for the end of the game to get people back to the main city areas

Wes talks about us at the end of this segment (skip to 13:30) to see the sheer pride he has when asked about Villa. He said UTV with such a smile. What a guy.

He seems like he is all over our performance and what we need to do over the next 3-4 weeks. Easy for an owner to have some stock lines about how happy they are and hope to get champions league but it comes across fake. He seemed fully aware and understands fully what’s going on through his own knowledge not having to be told which suggest to me he really follows everything very closely probably from a financial perspective but also as a supporter wanting success for the club

Chelsea were beaten 4-2 by Wolves at Stamford Bridge, before they knocked us out of the FA Cup, so awful as they were last night, we can't take a win for granted. I thought they would lose last night, but not by so many against another London club. They are at home to Spurs on Thursday, being at home and given the two clubs mutual dislike for each other, I'm hoping they will show up for that one. 🤞

I think if we beat Chelsea and that is an if because they are  good side the pressure on spurs will be huge. They really wouldn’t have much wiggle room so they would have to get points against one of more of Chelsea arsenal Liverpool and Man City and that’s assuming we don’t pick up points in the other 3 games

  10. Just a thought and I’m not getting ahead of myself here because I think it applies whoever gets to the final but it seems crazy that the final will take place in a 32000 capacity stadium. It’s smaller than 3 of the 4 semi finalist stadium and probably smaller than 50% of the premier league grounds. I would say if we got to the final we could sell that out twice over easily and probably the same for fiorentina maybe when the other 2 sides as well. Seems odd to me given the likehood is that the final will in most seasons have a at least one finalist from Italy, England, Germany or France and probably very often both sides will come from those countries and take a decent support. I know the are some “small” teams from smaller nations but I still would have thought uefa might have the foresight to put this final in a bigger ground

Feeling amazing today but that ref, needs investigating. Got to be the worst performance I have seen from a ref in years

Was it the same ref from the first leg because he was pretty bad as well booking our players for not much and letting Lille players rugby tackle the likes of Bailey without a card.

This is from The UEFA regulations

The briefing that Emi is suspended for the semis appears to have come from the club but I think they’re just teasing us.

He got booked in both legs of the Lille tie so I would say he probably is out of the first leg regardless of what ever the F went on the shoot out. It is annoying when he does his time wasting because it’s so obvious that more often than not he will get booked and now he is out for a game and actually what does it achieve? Not much given the ref will add the time on anyway. That said what a keeper nobody else I would want in goal for a shoot out

    Spot on.

Part of me thinks we deliberately took our foot off the gas a bit.

I am convinced we did. Stepped it up a bit towards the end but it felt like 2nd gear for most of the game and I say that with no disrespect to Lille who I thought looked a really good side. My feeling is Emery said that’s try and win this with minimal energy used up and when we had too we stepped it up a bit but it’s difficult to go from coasting to stepping up your levels

Won't shut up about Palmer today. Just on SSN, "Is Parmer the best Player in the Premier League on current form". 🥱

20 goals, 9 which are penalties, thats11 from open play, bore off Sky.

Watkins 19 goals from open play, more than anyone including Halaand. Where's the respect.

Don’t worry about it you know for sky the are only 7 clubs Man Utd, Man City Liverpool, Chelsea, arsenal, spurs and the others (being the generic mass of clubs that make up the rest of the premier league) it doesn’t matter if us or Newcastle consistently get too 4 we will both always be irrelevant to sky. The only change I could see to this would be if spurs don’t get top 4 for a few seasons in a row because they are not a big club and don’t win anything although there stadium makes them a big 6 club in skys view . Utd and Chelsea could spend ten years in the bottom half  of the league and you would still hear about them as part of the big 6

They outpaid us for Tarkowski when the clown was in charge when we were throwing out stupid contracts

I believe the wage bill for playing staff is just over £80 million a year. 😂

Maybe I've missed something, and I know he can call himself whatever he wants, but when did Dele Alli lose his surname? According to sky they have 'special guest Dele', has he checked down the back of the sofa? that's where I tend to find things I lose.

Annoying as he might be and the biggest fall from grace in footballing history I think he dropped the Alli part due to it having links back to being abused as a child

Felt like crap mentally over the past few weeks, that has cheered me right up. Celebrating has never felt so good. We showed Arsenal what they are missing. We have a world class manager and a group of players I believe in. I believe more and more that this will be a season I'll remember for the rest of my life with each passing match.

    UTFV. Cherishing moments like this.

Hope this helps you feel a little bit better remember your always part of the big Villa family

  18. Take away the name Man Utd and therefore the plastics/kids of the early 2000’s that support them because they are the best and sky would do everything they can to avoid putting this lot on tv. They really are a poor poor side full of highly paid ego warriors. I am glad they do get put on sky though because it’s fun watching them being so awful and getting outplayed by the likes of Bournemouth and Brentford.

In my far too many years of going to VP, I've only had a half time drink when I've pre-ordered one in a box. I'm surprised people are so desperate for a crap beer that they'll miss part of the match experience to get one.

I completely agree, I sit in the upper holte. On Saturday the two guys next to me went on about 35 minutes and came back about 7-8 minutes into the second half missing our first and second goals. I really don’t get it, I have a pint or two before the game depending on how early I am but ultimately I’m there to watch the game so if it’s a choice between that and a pint I’ll miss out on the beer. You can see it happening all around the ground and I’m sure at other grounds too but it looks awful when loads of empty seats appear because they have all gone for drinks. If your that desperate to watch the game with a beer why not go to a pub and watch it
