  1. I'm thinking it simply means that Adama will not be featuring in the 1st 11 League games for the time being. He will most likely make the bench and have the odd sub appearance at home games.

I'm expecting him to feature and play substantial minutes in all of our Cup matches against lower league sides personally.

Think Sherwood is trying to take the pressure off the lad personally. He looked good on Monday night and I think it's right to ease him into the team.

Don't buy the next season statements really. Would we be paying £7m for a player that's not going to make an impact this season?

  2. Just been to watch the u-21's v Derby. He came off with about 10 mins to go with a knock. Hopefully not to serious.

Was nice to see him play!

Sounds like he had a good game. What soft of knock? Birmingham mail said he continued on and was then later taken off.

Looked like a knock on his foot/ankle but not sure. Carried on for 5-10mins but was then subbed.

He looked decent on the ball and had a couple of nice runs.

  3. I think he starts Saturday if he had 90 mins tonight.

I think he'll make the bench at least. Can see him being brilliant on the break away from home. Any ball down the channel or over the top, he'll get there first against the majority of defenders

  4. Very impressed. I've had PES games up until 2008, but have been buying FIFA every year since. Have played 4 or 5 games now and find the feel of it better than FIFA. For example, when you have a shot from outside the box, the player really hammers it.

Other things I like are the line on the pitch in the replay for offsides, which they did away with on FIFA.

Best PES in a long while for me

  5. Talk Sports Man u supporting Goldstein and Chelsea Kundy wound me up saying we were worse than poor I thought we did ok and will only get better

Heard them two muppets as well.

We didn't play well, but didn't deserve the stick those two were dishing out.

Was a poor game which I think a draw would've been fair.

Amavi looks a cracking player. Can't remember the last time we had a LB who drove forward and can deliver some decent crosses.

Rest of the new signings will need time to bed in, so not going to pass judgement just yet.

Thought Westwood had a good game as well. Great range of passing and put in a nice late tackle on Rooney towards the end of the game as well!

  6. IMHO it's not in the least bit realistic to suggest Grealish should go out on loan. It would be utter bloody madness.

    Not for me.

Jack played an hour v Tamworth and that was it for pre-season. Didn't play for the u-21's last night either.

If people are expecting the likes of the Everton & West Ham performances from the end of last season, they're going to be very disappointed.

  7. A **** loan to the championship? "Don't think we will see much of him this season"?

Have you two gone completely off the deep end?

    Not really. Just being realistic.

Looking at the players we have and with the Traore move looking more likely, I'm just struggling to see where Jack fits in at the moment.

I'm only suggesting loaning him for a short period, which will get his fitness up, which will benefit Jack and us later in the season

  8. Anybody else think that a short loan might do the lad some good?

He's hardly had a pre-season and we've got other options available at present.

Would help to build up his fitness and give him a run of games. Think a move to the Championship would be ideal for a few months personally

    Are you kidding ?

Didnt you see him last season, the kid is class, i dont want to see him in another shirt ever.

Agree he was decent last season in a very poor side.

Just saying he's only 19 and has gone from League One to the Premier League in a very short space of time. It's a massive jump.

  9. You might then argue YLN, that Gabby was one of the reasons that team was bad.

Exactly this. Take away the Albion home game in the League and Sunderland away last season and can't think of much else he did.

He's been poor for 2/3 seasons now and think the main reason he's stuck around is because he's been here so long. The fact that he's Club Captain is odd. Don't really see the relevance of it.

  10. Next trick is set your millage, If you're gonna chop and change it every 2/3 years for a new one then set it at 5k miles per year. (lower the milage cheaper it works out) Millage charges only come in to play if you walk away after the term of the agreement and have exceeded the allowance. You could return it with 105k as long as you take out a new model at the end!

Can I just say that the above is complete and utter tripe.

PCP is a great product and gives you the most amount of flexibility. But regardless of which car/finance house/website you go through, every PCP deal is based on a residual value which is based on length of the agreement and MILEAGE.

So you take an agreement out doing a total of 5k per year and end up doing 25k per year, there's going to be a massive shortfall when you come to trade it in and guess who's paying? You will be royally shafting yourself

Yes I do work for a main dealer and have seen it happen before.

You're better off signing up to a realistic mileage as the RV's are set below market value to encourage people to trade up early anyway. That way everybody wins. Customer gets a newer car more often and the dealer sells more cars

    Are you for real,

If I take out a deal on 5k miles and return it with 10k or I take out a deal on 10k miles and return it with 10k then the residual is exactly the same value but I've lowered my initial monthly payments by setting at 5k miles.

Anyway what I stated is correct, Excess Millage charges only come in to play if you walk away after the term of the agreement and have exceeded the allowance!

    Ever thought of double glazing?

That's not what you said in your initial post.

It's simple. Would you pay the same price for a car that has done 100k miles as one which has done 10k? Of course you wouldn't.

You are right that excess mileage only comes into play if you return the car, but if you think dealers are making enough profit to bridge a difference of 90k miles on a part ex you are sadly mistaken.

And 10 years in the trade, think I might just be doing something right. I'll leave the double glazing to you thanks [emoji3]

  11. Gabby was summed up in one moment during the second half yesterday.

Picks the ball up on the half way line, great run at the heart of Bournemouth's defence, it opens up and hits a woeful shot that bobbles through to the keeper.

Typical Gabby, he just doesn't deliver in front of goal enough to command a place in a Premier League side

  13. Just watched the BBC programme about their stadium move.

Surprised no team has really challenged it to date. The deal West Ham are getting is ludicrous for the tax payer. I for one don't want my taxes paying for a brand new ground for a London team. The whole thing stinks

In simple terms, West Ham's worth will more than double when they move and if the Porno Dwarfs decide to sell, the pocket the profits seemingly.

  14. Can do through a main dealer.

PCP is the best way to make the most of your budget. If you have a £10k budget you can either buy a car on straight HP, or go down the PCP route and have a more expensive/better car for pretty much the same monthly payments.

Only difference is you own the used car after the final payment, but with PCP you either buy the car for the balloon payment, or part exchange and use the equity towards your new one.

Can you really build up that much equity? I am thinking of putting down say £5k and then maybe up to £300 per month. Should be enough to get what I want under PCP? Are Sytner pretty good?

Depending on the price of the car, you might not be able to put £5k down.

As its a PCP, I would tell the salesman your monthly budget and he will tailor the deposit accordingly.
