  1. Interesting response. I voted no, because I very much doubt the amount of money we're talking about would be anything more than a quick fix, one transfer windows worth of cash as apposed to the £100m some are banding around. We're more than capable of generating cash in other areas, areas that will put this little windfall into the shade. Too much history folks...... Seriously? £5m a year? That sort of money is chicken feed for the big boys, the boys we're aiming at.
  2. Even if AV06 do make a 5% increase on Lerners bid, unless Rothschild recommend it to the board and subsequently the board to shareholders, nothing will delay our mate Randy. Like I said earlier and on another thread, piss off Rothschild and you've got no hope. AV06 have seriously **** themselves, if the LSE give them a slap on the wrists there's no way Rothschild will deal with them. Randy, we're nearly there chap.......
  3. Sorry if this has already been pointed out but WTF has Lerners' nationality got to do with the greater good of Aston Villa? How very dare he. Not very good at this PR game is he? And if you take our Martin O'Neill away, I'll come down there and break you're face. Anyone still to be convinced Randy is our man???
  4. Oh for the love of god....... As it stands in 10 day's time Randy Lerner will become the owner of a 58% stake in Aston Villa FC, he will then loan the club some cash until the official takeover date 11 days later. If someone else makes a bid that the board then recommend to supporters then this thing will drag on there will be NO MONEY for the manager to spend before the window closes. I'm not saying we shouldn't listen, but it does make a (big) difference.....
  5. What difference would it make? The word 'shareholders' should give that one away Lee...... So my proxy vote as a Shareholder that I give the Trust counts for nothing. Do keep up. :winkold: Of course it does. I don't understand what you mean. I thought Dennis was talking about the various consortia trying to get one of the Shareholders 'clubs' on board?
  6. What difference would it make? The word 'shareholders' should give that one away Lee......
  7. All it means is he doesn't get enough to delist the club right now, he'll still own minimum the 56% he's got from Ellis/Petchey. I'm not even sure he'll want to delist the club just yet......
  8. I'll do it for you, he's a cock. A cock and a knobend.
  9. Which also happens to be my birthday
  10. Where have you heard that? was on the icbirmingham.co.uk site i think Must be true then........ :winkold:
  11. How can they know the answer to 1&2 until they submit the offer?
  12. Come on Ste, it's not that hard to understand. It doesn't matter how much AV06/Still/Neville bid, if the board feel Lerners is the one acting in the best interests of the club then he will win. I thought that's what we all wanted, the best deal for the club?
  13. There's a ten day period bfore anyone is declared 'winner'. After that 10 days I should imagine the 'winner' will be ale to loan the club the money until completion.
  14. Well I understand that, and dont get me wrong, I have been hugely impressed with Lerner, I just think it is ridiculous to refuse to contemplate another owner for the sole reason that he isnt Randy Lerner. And I agree with you. May the best man win (as quick as possible please!)
  15. Indeed. Bigger boys came, Neville took his ball home.
  16. It's not Pete. The thing is, everyone has warmed to Lerner, the way it's percieved he's already our owner and someone is trying to buy him out. I can understand the unrest, because for the first time in a very long time we have an owner we actualy like.
  17. Why? If they've got the money to burn then you can't realy blame them. It's like you placing a bid on Ebay for that 1 piece lycra batman suit you've always wanted, would you give up so easily? I know it's a crap analogy, you'll have to forgive the cold :winkold: On the other hand it's always better to be proactive than reactive. This does have a bit of an amature feel to it. Anyway, I highly doubt Rothschild would reccomend another bid to the board under any circumstances, they already got their man......
  18. oh plenty has happened as always does in these situations, nothings been made public yet is all Such as? Or is it all 'hush hush mums the word' bollocks?......
  19. Been away a couple of days, guess nothing happened? There's a suprise.......
  20. Trimmys' new job at Warner Bros was doomed from the start
  21. What would you rather them do? I know it's a fairly unusual time but the club does still have a rsponsibility to shareholders.
