    Mission Accomplished.
  2. He plays for Große Gelbe Bananen in the 2.Bundesliga
  3. ^^^ Never has a film brought out so much emotion from me as that one. I was incredibly angry and it was really difficult to watch. It really is something else. You have to see it to believe it.
  4. YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS. Result. Job done. **** fantastic.
  5. He plays it simple but if there are options ahead of him then he does play a forward pass. Sometimes I think we're to static when he has the ball because we're always waiting for it to be played out to the wingers. I can also think of a few long balls from him where he shifts the ball from one flank over to the other. As I said before he would be of better use in a three man midfield with Milner and someone who can make good runs.
  6. Probably my favorite Villa player. He can play some fantastic balls and your always confident when he has the ball. I do think he would be better utilised in a three man midfield with a runner and a creative player.
  7. I thought we played rather well in the first half and they got the goal against the run of play. We should have scored at least 2 goals but if we don't take our chances that's what you get. The second half was poor. No creativity and every cross was poor. Both goals were gifts from our defenders who should be dealing with those balls and I also question Friedel in the second one. I don't know how I feel about getting 1 point from this game. One thing we have to fix is our home form. We're unbeaten at home in the last seven games but six of them have been draws. No creativity at all and the only answer we have is to get the ball out to the flanks and if that doesn't work we're ****. I'm still not sure MON is the man to take us further but he deserves at least next season to show if he can surprise us. We need a quality striker in the summer and a creative midfielder. If that doesn't happen, for whatever reason, then we will stagnate. Friedel - 5 - He could have done better in the second goal and didn't command his area like he's used to. Cuellar - 7 (MOTM) - Was excellent in the first half and he was surprisingly good going forward. Warnock - 6 - Okay Dunne - 5 - Poor defending in the set pieces. Collins - 6 - Okay Young - 5 - Poor deliveries Downing - 5 - Good in the first half but couldn't cross a decent ball in the second. Petrov - 6 - Controlled the game in the first half but way too passive in the second half. Milner - 6 - Seems to me like he's just run out of steam. I don't notice him as much as I used to. Carew - 5 -Got into some good positions but sometimes looks like he can't be bothered. Drives me **** mad. Agbonlahor - 6 - Would have gotten a 5 but for his goal. Virtually anonymous for the most part.
  8. YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
  9. VILLA: Friedel; L Young, Dunne, Collins, Warnock; Milner, Sidwell, Petrov, A Young, Agbonlahor, Carew. Subs: Guzan, Beye, Cuellar, Davies, Salifou, Downing, Delfouneso.
  10. Carlos Cuellar, Stewart Downing and Emile Heskey OUT. Luke Young, Steve Sidwell and Gabby Agbonlahor IN.
  11. One thing's for certain - he's very frustrating. His number one fault is his stubbornness. I think if he believes he's right about something, it's virtually impossible to get him to believe otherwise. That's why when all of Cuellar, Dunne and Collins are fit, Luke Young will not start. The only way he will get a game is if one of the CB's is injured and Cuellar has to move there. His insistance to always use the same eleven doesn't work in modern day football. That's probably why we always seem to fall apart around March/April. When he says he'll have to rotate (like he said in some interview recently), he means players will get injured so other players will get a chance. He has a clear view of his best eleven and he will use those eleven players until they literally can't play anymore. Despite all that I still trust him. The best way way will be to see how the seasons sums up in May. So far it's been pretty good until recently. Now that I've said that watch us win Chelsea on Saturday. It really wouldn't surprise me.
  12. I don't understand how people can be disappointed with Delfouneso. I think it's a matter of expecting too much from a 19 year old kid. For what it's worth he surprised me tonight, didn't know he was so quick.
  13. You really think so? I think our defence hasn't looked this shaky all season.
  14. We started brightly and they scored a goal against the run of play but somehow I felt we had it in us to go on and win it. The second half was poor because it was obvious they were content with the point and we really should have pressed on. Many players looked jaded and just out of gas in the last 20 minutes. Not a poor performance but we were lacking in aggression. What I've also noticed is that our steady defence has looked pretty shaky recently. I'm a big fan of Petrov but in the second half he was just too tired and MON should have subbed him IMO. When Delfouneso (who was very good) went trough on goal in the end I was screaming for Stan to make the run on his left but he didn't, probably because of tiredness. Friedel - 6 - Didn't have much to do but nearly made an uncharacteristic mistake early in the second half. Cuellar - 6 - Solid game from Cuellar but his passing is always suspect. Even a simple 2 meter pass is trouble for him. Dunne - 5 - Not his usual self. Made a huge cockup that could have cost us and generally looked uneasy. Collins - 6 - Our best defender today but should have scored from the open header. Warnock - 5 - Has been poor recently and has looked very suspicious when he has to defend. Made some good forward runs as per usual. Downing - 7 - Did pretty well I thought but he still looks like he's afraid of physical contact. Young - 8 - Very lively tonight, made plenty of good crosses and set up the goal beautifully. It's obvious to me that he is full of confidence at the moment. Milner - 6 - Was apparently carrying a knock before the game and didn't live up to his usual high standards because of that. Petrov - 6 - I'm always confident when he has the ball and he was solid as usual but he really does look like he needs a rest. At least not to play every full 90 minutes. Carew - 8 - Had a good game today and continued his scoring form. Great run as well in the second half. Heskey - n/a - Looked like he was up for the game but once again he gets those little niggles that he can't shake off. Delfouneso - 8 - Terrific game from The Fonz. He's certainly not afraid to take people on and surprised me with his pace. IMO he's not been used enough. I just don't understand why MON made the point of mentioning that he has to rotate the squad because we have a lot of games coming up but then he doesn't even rest ONE player!? I don't think there is a chance in hell that we will get that fourth place if MON doesn't utilise the squad more. Very tough game against Chelsea on Saturday and to get anything there would be a huge bonus. I was sure that we had learnt our lesson last season but it looks like once again we'll just fade away when it matters the most. Please MON prove me wrong!
  15. Ginga ninja on for Milner. Come on Sidders!
  16. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CAREW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. I think people are maybe expecting a bit too much from young Delfouneso,
