  1. Now thats not always the case, is it? Agree with you on all the current links though!

    Better or Worse?

The main difference is that last year was about all we could hope for with the resources we had however the potential of the current crop is quite promising!
  3. He plays for Porto but Inter are supposed to be virtually certain of his signiture! ....worth a shot though!
  4. Scott Parker would be my number 1 target but I fear his type of player is still a few years away from us!
  5. It would make far more sense what with Lehmann haggling over his contract! ....but still its the NOTW so i wont be thinking of putting him in next seasons fantasy football team just yet!
  6. Yes i want them to qualify and win it if they can! Shoot me but my likeing or disliking of the present manager has nothing to do with the fact that come the summer 08 I will be an England fan, and would be gutted if they were not there! USA 94 might as well of not happened for all the interest i had in it! My other reasoning is that if he is axed our current manager would be top of everyones list to replace him!
  7. Someone else who does not rate almost everone in the current team!
  8. ....or even Sol Cambell! Not exactly a spring chicken but could do a great job for a few seasons and would make a great role model for Ridge and Cahill!
  9. Someone good in the air to make us more solid at defending set pieces and with good organisational and leadership qualities. Whats Tony Adams doing now! Seriously Scharner would fit the bill for me!
  10. Still think he would be a good addition to the team!
  11. You were going well there untill the end....Wes feckin Brown! The most injury plagued (Villa defenders accepted) overrated defender in the premiership! As you can probably tell I dont really like him that much!
  12. I doubt it, he'll end up at Spurs or Manyoo. I watched him play against Preston the other night and was distinctly unimpressed anyway. He has man u plastered all over him! Spurs dont stand a chance!

    Best Bond?

didn't really take a genuis casting director. Anyone who has seen Layer Cake (great film) would have realised that Craig would make an excellent Bond. Did you really think that when watching Layer Cake Jon....Hmmmm? :winkold: Anyway there is a lot of difference between thinking he would make a good Bond and putting your money/reputation where your mouth is, for that reason he/she deserves cudos!

    Best Bond?

The casting people certainly deserve an honourable mention for giving Craig the role as from an outside view he not Bond.....but it just worked!!
  15. Depends whether we would be getting last season's version, an excellent footballer, or this season's, bertie big bollocks who thinks he should be playing for ManUre or the Arse. At £3m he'd be worth a punt though. We don't know what's going on at WHU. It's quite possible that last season's NRC sees so much trouble at WHU that he just wants out. I doubt he's the only one, but as the captain and last season's star he's perhaps the most high profile - certainly he's the one the fans have latched on to. It would be great to have him on board. We know what he can do and he's still learning. It's no harm to have a few Berty Big Bollocks' on board if they have the ability and confidence to push us onwards. He'd be a canny signing imo. You have just raised a question there BOF, if what you say has any semblance of truth would we really want a player here who has such little care for the club he is playing for that he wants to leave at any sign of trouble? Southgate, to use an example, still gets a bit of grief for wanting to leave us but at least he had the professionalism to play to his maximum every week although clearly unhappy rather than sulk around.
  16. Obvious with the FACT that Gabby has scored 6 goals in his first full season mainly playing out wide including scoring at three of the top fours grounds, Nugent is older than Gabby and has never played in the premiership, again it's not rocket science. We are arguing over something we can have no idea of and this is my whole point, picking who is gonna be the better player is pure conjecture at this stage. So surely its best to have the both of them and double our chances of finding the genuine article! I agree we have to bring in any class players on the market but these are going to be few and far between (and its by no means a certainty they will join us anyway!) so why not bring in exciting talent to compliment these, if only to enhance our standing in the near future?
  17. Demitri top level proven players simply are not going to join a club not even in the UEFA cup. We may get the odd one with some previous baggage (ie Carrew) but not enough to rebuild an entire team straight away. Surely its best to buy these potential top players to compliment the slow influx of proven quality over the next few years. After all why put all our eggs into one basket and hope the young players we have will make the step up (odds are they all wont) so surely its best to spread the risk and buy as many as we can. Tottenham and especially Arsenal have been doing it for a while and it has not served them too badly!

    Best Bond?

I'll have a pee. Dont think he would have quite pulled it off on screen!

    Best Bond?

Always remember one reviewer bigging up Daniel Craigs bond stating words similar to .......'He is the 1st Bond since Connery that looks if he could do you some real damage' (A good description of Ian Flemmings intended Bond) The only two real candidates and since the former cannot be truely judged/compared on a single performance there is only 1 winner!

    Best Bond?

You pretty much summed up my stand!
  21. Doesn't make a difference if Everton haven't the money to sign him....and that is if they are interested!
  22. Have to agree with you here mate, and he seems to be enjoying it in our fair country judging at the way he celebrated with the fans after his goal at the weekend, but i fear he will be off to one of the 'big' teams in Europe!
