Ravenelli, juniniho, Klinsmann, the game is littered with top quality players attracted to sides outside of the top echelons. All it takes is a little bit of scouting and a lot of money and hey presto!

Has Defoe proved he's world class though?, or Bellamy?, what world class striker do you think we could attract Ian?. The likes of Huntelaar could be attracted to us and even alves. You have to realise how much a pull our league has , and the top 4 can only have so many strikers!

Nail on the head Ian. I want to see someone leading the line with genuine world classs potential, not simply tried and trusted prem players! Let the likes of Portsmouth buy the also rans id like to see a bit of quality leading the line!

He might also turn out to be the next Luque. Say what you want about bellamy and/or smith, at least you know what you are getting, and that includes 100% effort on the pitch, particularly in Bellamy's case. To be honest id go for the gamble! You do not get to be Europes golden boot winner (As I believe Alves is!) without being a good goal scorer....what ever the league you are plying your trade. Remember a few years back when the same questions were asked of Henrik Larsen!
