  1. He had a theory that me, VA and 8pints were all the same person.

Nah I believe VA and BL are the same person, possibly 8 pints as well. VA and 8 pints seem the two coolest posters along with Xela and the million dollar man guy on off topic though.

  2. Many people commenting about it being our worst run in 47 years. Many people posting in the "Lambert - Out" thread, and also looking for our next manager. I'm not going to get into the parts of that because the bottom line is that we played well today.

We lost 2-1 after going ahead, having multiple close chances (not just creating them), and then losing to a deflection from a pretty poor free kick (Guzan was already across the net before it hit Bakers(?) head).

What I will talk about is the ref, as I voted him poor. Sometimes there is a decision in the game by the ref where it changes everything. A stupid free kick decision, or a peno that never was. This was not the case today.

The ref was poor from start to finish, he failed to control the game, he failed to calm the players down after a fiery 10/20 mins. His fourth official rightly indicated that Benteke should be sent off (read the rules if you disagree with this), but then failed to ALSO follow up on the rules for a 'headbutt' by Mason into Tekkers face.

The ref should have had the game under grips early on but he let it spiral out of control multiple times, and that cost us. Did it cost us just because the ref made the wrong decisions? No. It cost us because he let all the players on the pitch lose their heads, and ultimately, and in my opinion, that was directly responsible for the end result.

Should Premier League players be able to deal with this, and keep an deserved 1-0 lead? Yes. But this is an instance where this didn't happen.

We lost through bad luck, extremely poor refereeing, and a lucky deflection at the last minute.

Saying all the above, when Spurs went 1-1, I stuck an inplay bet for them to win 2-1. Was only a fiver on at 3/1, shoulda done it for 5 grand :P

So wrong I dont know where to begin. So bad luck played a part in Benteke slapping Mason? Bad luck played a part in Gabby not marking his man?? Bad luck played a part in Sanchez's ridiculously idiotic tackle to concede the free kick???

Blaming the ref for highly paid professionals to lose there heads?? Get a grip lad.

  3. Never want to see Sanchez in a villa shirt again. Ive seen enough of him now to know he isnt good enough. Can't pass. Can't tackle. Makes rash and idiotic decisions. Cost us this match. Cost us the QPR match. Nearly cost us the Hull game as he gave away the free kick that we conceded from. Awful.

Westwood and Cleverly were both totally ineffective yet again and are not good enough at this level.

Only positive was Benteke...until he gets himself stupidly sent off.

  4. Drive - 9 out of 10

Drive (BBC 1 rescored) - 6 out of 10 - Seriously wtf?! The Drive soundtrack was incredible. Thought it would be an interesting concept having Zane Lowe do something different. It ruined the film completely. Eyeopener for myself as a film buff as never realised how important a good soundtrack can make to the film. Zane choices were bizarre in that he replaced quality electric type music with below average electric music. What was the point?? Poorly edited as well. Never heard of any of these bands other then Eric Prydz. Would have been more interesting if he used a completely different genre like rock or hip hop or famous songs from present day and the past. Zane Lowe is still the man though but he messed up here.

  5. The Babadook - 7 out of 10 - 99 out of 100 horror films are utter shite. This wasnt. Considering it was made on such a low budget what an achievement by the director to make a film of this genre as decent as this.

Gone Girl - 8.5 out of 10. If you look past it's flaws (can tell it was wrote by a woman) then it was absolutely brilliant. Pike should clean up at the Oscar's for her performance.

Cold in July - 6 out of 10 - Love the 'drive' style soundtrack. Started brilliantly then turned into a total mess. Strangely watchable still. Michael C Hall is going to struggle to get rid of the his Dexter chracter type cast.

  6. Marvel's future slate had been announced...

May 6th 2016: Captain America: Civil War

    November 4th 2016: Doctor Strange

May 5th 2017: Guardians Of The Galaxy 2

    July 28th 2017: Thor: Ragnarok

    November 3rd 2017: Black Panther

May 4th 2018: Avengers: Infinity War Part I

    July 6th 2018: Captain Marvel

    November 2nd 2018: Inhumans

May 3rd 2019: Avengers: Infinity War Part I

No real surprises in there but a few very exciting announcements. Inhumans is an interesting addition, talk had been that Marvel effectively want to substitute the Inhumans for X Men in their established storylines. Great to set Black Panther in there, they've been hinting at that in the movies since Iron Man 2.

    FFS!!!!!

  7. Not sure why everyone has been creaming themselves over Sanchez....all game he has gave the ball away. Utter shite.

Whats the point of Cleverly as well?? A passenger every game I have seen him play.

You must have been watching a different game donnie, as he has made 4 mistakes all game. 3 of which were all in the space of two minutes leading up to their second goal. He has made numerous interceptions and worked really hard.

You must be aroused by his afro as all game he has gave the ball away. Worked really hard? Well thats the minimum expectation of all players.

  9. I just got a text off my girlfriend saying ‘I'm cancelling my gym membership, do you want me to do yours?’ and then a second later an email saying ‘confirmation of your gym direct debit cancellation’.

    Hmm.

Get out now, while you still can. And I don't mean the gym.
Lol. His fiancee is one of a the most loveable people you could ever meet. She's not got a bad bone in her body.

Paddywhack, you haven't even been going that much lately, have you?

When buying a house, best to save the pennies anyway mate :)

That's all well and good, but doing that without his agreement is massively out of order. My missus nags me to get rid of books, and she has a point, so I have given a load to charity shops. But if she just went ahead and did it behind my back I would hit the **** ing roof. But she would never do that.

As you are the VT grammar guru, and im sure you are correct, but I was always told at school never to start a sentence after a full stop with the word 'but'...I must have been taught incorrectly then.

  10. And which bracket do you fall into, donnie?

Jesus wept, feels like I'm in a **** Frank T.J Mackey show. It is not only baffling how some people think, but utterly depressing too.

I fall into the middle in that im neither a beta or an alpha. No idea who Frank T.J Mackey is. Sounds like some beta boy shit.

  11. MMV is the truth!

    Preach brother.

He is right what he says though. Career women aren't interested in a relationship and most are not interested in settling down until they hit 30. Career women are the worst type of woman. Avoid a career woman at all costs....unless you are an alpha male which frankly no one on this site is. Plenty of beta's on here though.

  12. The Bourne films >>>>>>>>>>>> Bond

The new Bond films basically try and rip off the Bourne trilogy with the way the action scenes are edited. Everyone goes on like Goldeneye is amazing. Watched it and it was shite.

The first three Bourne films are some of the best Hollywood action films ever made. The fourth one was atrocious but doesnt count.

An even better film then any of the Bonds and even the Bourne films is a danish film called Headhunters. Must see for any film fans.

  13. No chance he can walk through Golovkin's fire, Golovkin is completely different to any puncher he has faced, with angles and an attack that incorporates the body. Also the Froch jab isn't that good, he more often than not paws with it rather than throwing it authoritatively, if you want to see a great jab just look at Golovkin's.

Knocking out average stiffs is much different to the level of opposition Froch has fought. If the fight ever happens PM me and we can have a bet :-)
