    I think a good point was made about Benitez earlier on....all his recent clubs have demanded instant success so he hasn't had time/chance to rebuild from top to bottom. I believe the last time he did this was at Valencia when he won La Liga...if he was given a 4/5 year contract with us, I'm certain he would have us pushing the top 4...

    Is your info from inside the club? To be honest I don't know where it has come from originally...but the person that told me is in the loop with all things Villa, so got no reason to doubt.

    Wow, two unreliable sources?! I've heard it will be Ancelotti appointed within 48 hours....and thats from a semi-reliable source! (it is the same source that told me about 2 weeks ago that GH was going) Are you winding us up!? No, thats what I've heard...I hope it's true, but obviously don't know for sure.

    I think a new manager will be announced at the same time as Houllier leaving is announced. I believe that a new manager has already been decided upon. No way will Villa be that organised. They probably haven't even started thinking about the new man yet.

    I was thinking about MON earlier, we would be perfect for him.....top 10 looking to push on with cash to spend - he was stupid walking away really, won't get a better job imo. Too much bad blood between parties now though, time for a fresh start with someone else.

    Just the odds for next permanent Villa manager...as Houllier is current manager, he can't be next manager too

    Still 6/1 on Sky Bet, only come in slightly from 7/1. Hughes is current evens favourite, followed by Benitez 11/8, then Moyes.

    Someone on Vital Villa called "Prepared" has said that compo has been agreed between us and Everton for Moyes....I have to idea if he is reliable because I don't go on Vital that much

    I want more than 6th, but I'm realistic enough to know thats its not gonna happen. It was hard enough when it was just 'the big 4', now there is Man City and Spurs to finish above too...I think the reason Moyes didn't come to us before Houllier is that he didn't want to leave Everton in the crap (unlike our previous boss!!), and I do admire that.
