Villa haven't cultivated this culture, the Premier League, Uefa and the FA have. Players hold all the cards along with the clubs with bottomless pits of money.
Ridiculus comment.
Just because Downing is leaving, lets not pretend he is shit!
There's plenty of things Albrighton does better than Downing. Downing isn't shit (and he didnt say so) but I don't think he's as great as many think. He lies somewhere inbetween.
and what if Nzogbia is the replacement for Downing only?
Albrighton.
so 2 wingers in whole squad
great.....
How many wingers would you like? I would rather we played one winger with a decent midfield...
Same here MMFry. The two wingers last season played so narrow (for most of it) that they may as well have not been wingers.
and what if Nzogbia is the replacement for Downing only?
and what if he's not a direct replacement for either but a player brought in that Alex McLeish wants as a component for a rebuilt side?
Why are people obsessed with friggin wingers?? I really think the era of two wingers is over at Villa Park for the time being. And N'Zogbia is not an out and out winger like Ashley Young, even though Ash tried to morph himself into something else this last year. I also think we'll see Marc Albrighton start many more games this season.
I presume that they're all singing from the same hymn sheet at Villa and therefore McLeish's position would be completely undermined if he were to be sold now after what he's said. Having said that there's a price for everything and turning down 25m wouldn't be good business in my book.
Downing isn't coming out of this very well and looks to have been poorly advised like Gareth Barry.
Not sure what Ashley Cole and Cheryl getting back together has to do with Alan Hutton? :?
:winkold:
I've just tested it and it works for me :?
Help me out dude, what am i looking at?
Its the report of when he beat his Dad up from March 2009.
I would love to know how you know he is trouble?
I thought it was common knowledge. There are reasons why he was left out of the squad at certain times last season.
Now there's talk of them offloading Joe Cole in the deal. We've been stung by that sort of thing before (SI) and we don't want another over inflated egotistical, wage demander.
He'll go for about 18m and that's OK.
The options are only yes and no. He can hardly impress while a competitive ball yet to be kicked. However he has spoken to the fans representation and been generally engaging. So while the options are black and white people probably err on the side of...hope?
