This is the team I would like v Bournemouth (not necessarily in this formation), with Bailey definitely in it! I think it would be easier to pick if football teams were made up of 12 rather than 11 players. :s Maybe Luis instead of Kamara depending on who impresses most in training between now and then, as with Mcginn and JJ:

                                    Watkins

    Bailey       Coutinho        Ramsey           Buendía

                                Bou Bou Boy

    Digne             Carlos           Mings              Cash

                                        Emi

I thought Bailey looked better down the right yesterday, maybe it’s just me

    Ramsey - Luiz - Kamara

McGinn to rotate with Ramsey and Luiz perhaps.

    Nakamba and Iroegbunam as back-up.

Looks a little light though especially if Sanson leaves, we still need a CM.

Ease Iroegbunam in, he looks like he’s going to be a top player. Potentially, Iroegbunam-Ramsey-Kamara could be a top 6 midfield

Frustrating game to watch, first half because we weren't very good, second half because we played a lot better but couldn't take our chances, on another day could have scored five or more. Some good performances, K Young looks a standout once again, bad foul on him for his injury which showed how much he was frustrating them.

It was Katsukunya playing right-back in the second half, I don't think that's his normal position though.

Kadan Young looked outstanding when he came on

Thanks useless, I think Katsukunya is usually a centre back I think but he played at right back when he came on, he looked good I thought

Which is equivalent to admitting that he's just not there yet. So he has no right to be demanding much of anything really.

I trust the club to make the right decision regarding him. If he does leave, he will go on to have a good career. I’ve seen quite a lot of him for the u23s and u18s, he’s a very talented player

There’s no doubt he’s considered to be up there as the best in the current youth categories but it’s not like he’s bursting down the doors of the senior set up.  Not saying that there’s a huge number of English players ahead of him but the genuine best of the best over the years are often way ahead of the curve at that age. Bellingham for example is already a regular in the main England squad and has been a first choice at club level for a few seasons now - that’s what a generational talent looks like. He could still become a great player, or he could be a total dud but it’s not like he’s out there doing it right now, he’s still only a youth player

Different players develop at different rates

I suppose it's all subjective, but I would say no.

I would put Scarlett ahead of him, maybe Alfie Devine (who is only 17 actually), Bynoe-Gittens has huge quality and potential for his age too.

He's certainly by no means "clear" as the children say these days. Our own A. Ramsey isn't far from that mix either, I don't see him crying for a move to Barca to Dortmund.

Tbh I'm tired of this debate now. If he wants to stay he'll stay, but it looks to be far from his mind. We've given him his Premier League debut, trusted him, offered him decent money, but he's got stars in his eyes now. I find that very hard to respect or support, and I do not wish him well elsewhere.

Where has Chukwuemeka cried for a move to Barca or Dortmund? I must’ve missed that

The last paragraph is a bit harsh I think

He needs to keep showing off that all-round game. Very impressed today. Was in the thick of everything.

You can't be a poacher in the PL anymore, those days are gone. Show the boss you've got the game to play from the off.

    Isn’t Watkins a poacher?

In hindsight, this probably wasn't the smartest thing Purslow could have done. It may have contributed to the player getting ideas above his level.

I agree that it wasn’t the smartest thing for Purslow to have done. Players these days have to have aspirations or there is just no hope for them

  9. He’s very talented, he has great natural ability. If he does want to move on, we might regret it but I trust Gerrard and the people involved to get the correct outcome. I remember Christian Purslow calling him the best 16 year old in the country to the press a couple of years ago

  10. Nice interview with him on the OS, his voice sounds like Gary Cahill’s. Feeney is going to be a star I think, hearing him speak, he sounds so mature for a 17 year old

Jack is a special talent though.
Those players could have had more of a chance of coming through in a more settled side, if we had utilised the loan system for them better and if we had a stronger coaching academy. All things that the owners have looked to change. I’m more confident now than ever that we will bring players through. It doesn’t mean every year someone will come through, but we will see a clear pathway

    I think you are correct

Let’s not forget we were a shit show back when these guys were trying to break through. We are more organised and prepared for youth integration now.

It didn’t stop Jack Grealish coming through and becoming our most expensive sale in the history of the club. The creams rises to the top

100%, I wonder if there’s a new contract announced when they get back from Australia

Hasn’t there been some suggestion that he’s leaving? I wouldn’t want to lose him, no chance but the player might fancy a new challenge, I don’t know I’m guessing there

I think he will be a U16, but given he's already played for the U18s last season then I imagine there's a chance he could get some game time at that level next season, same with Broggio, and Lynch, and maybe a few others.

I remember hyping up Easah Suliman, Mitchell Clark, Rushian Hepburn-Murphy, Andre Green, Callum O’Hare and Jake Doyle Hayes on here. None of them made it here, I think it shows how good a player has to be to make it at this football club. That’s not to say that a player won’t make it in the future, we might just have to wait a while

I'm not sure if that date of birth is correct, as he played for our U15s a few times in a couple of tournaments towards the end of the season, around April and May time.

So you think he’s an u16 for this coming season?
