  1. From what I have seen on various social media outlets, the only people who seem to be taking this league seriously and wanting it to succeed are:
Saudis and other Gulf state nationals, Africans and people of South Asian (India, Pakistani, Bangladeshi) origin...

And their only argument seems to be along the lines of:

"Its good to see European clubs have their best players taken away from them... Europeans think football is all about them..."

And to be fair - aside from South Americans - it kind of is...

Its OUR sport... We are the best two continents at it...

And the fact that the same people saying this have Man Utd, Real Madrid, Man City, Liverpool etc etc etc plastered all over their profiles just proves it...
Otherwise they would support their local teams in buttfuck nowhere Botswana...

But of course... theres no street credibility in that...

Kyle Walker seems like he must be fully irrepressible when it comes to shagging. I feel tired just thinking about what his libido must be like.

What? To the point he whips his cock out at women in bars…

Some people could call that sexual assault…

which, when considering Ched Evans, Adam Johnson, Robinho and Barry Bennell (and no smoke without fire Mendy)… is kind of the MO of people associated with Man City

Is that because they're sort of an artificial made-up newer club?

Yes, aren't they annoying? His whinging and their supporters' whinging never stops.

I feel exactly the same. I like to see all Midlands clubs beating northern and London clubs. But ... Ipswich? Huh?

Their club and Suffolk constabulary refused to arrest, prosecute and execute Richard Wright by firing squad after his brutal and malicious assault on Luc Nilis

  4. Man City

    Ipswich

i dont hate any Midlands clubs… I used to hate the Blues, but I’d rather them, Wolves, West Brom, Coventry, Walsall, Burton, Stoke etc etc etc were all in the Prem with us instead of clubs from the North West with their elevated cholesterol, teenage pregnancies and illiteracy…

Wouldn't be surprised if I asked this before years ago, but why does Portsmouth/Pompey have such a bad reputation? I've picked up on that for a long time, but I don't think I've ever understood.

As someone who has lived in the New Forest since the mid 90s… Legend has it among Southampton fans that the residents of Portsmouth have carnal relations with various species of fish…

So, that might be the reason…

The team most to blame for how bad we've been is ourselves.

We've made bad decisions, after bad decisions and are only now in the last few years fixing them.

Blaming other clubs is a victim mentality.

Yeah, but Man City’s takeover was the catalyst and then they benefitted the most from it…

Had any other club done what they did to us and leech us into near oblivion using an endless pot of gold, I would have hated them instead…

but it was those parasitic vermin in Manchester

  7. Man City…

No other team has benefitted from our downfall from European football to the Championship than they have…

Their cheating, financial doping, stealing our captains every few years (only when they broke into the England squad though)…

They are arguably the team that is at most to blame for the worst period in our clubs history over the last 30 years…

Yep I agree. Actual simulation maybe not so much.

But the uproar from fans about players that win fouls or penalties through drawing fouls is so boring. Especially when every team has players that do that.

Villa fans should be way down the list of moaners when we all wanked each other off watching Grealish do it every week

    That....

You must take into account, however, that our club did invent the whole football league system that all of these cretins now celebrate and follow, and they would be foolish and have incredibly short memories to not remember that and be on their knees, kissing our clubs hairy beanbags in thanks for it...

We are Aston Villa... We, by all rights, should be able to do what we want...

Along with Preston, Accrington Stanley and very, very select number of other clubs that pretty much arent in Manchester or London (if i remember correctly)

It’s funny really - I wonder how much Emery is being paid?

Even if it’s a huge number for a coach, it’s basically nothing compared to the fees / wages for a player. And if we end up having to sell a player like Luiz or McGinn or Watkins in summer we’d probably get double or triple what we’d have got for them previously (to say nothing of Bailey). He’ll have paid for himself ten times over.

It throws the last twenty years into sharp focus - there’s been times where we’ve ended up with players that were carrying the rest of the team and clearly too good for us (e.g. Benteke / Grealish) but they’ve never been transformative like having a truly top class manager has been.

Clearly we should have been throwing our money at managers instead of players!

It’s crazy that players have transfer fees but managers don’t…

If a club wanted to come in and hire Emery, do they just have to pay off his contract and maybe some nominal fee?

You never see “transfer fees” being mentioned when managers move between clubs

  11. Was chatting with my brother about the most improved player this season…

Its a dead heat between Digne and Bailey…

Both have been given pelters for poor performances and decision making…

Massive improvements from both of them…

The signing of Moreno seems to have put a boot up Dignes arse and made him realise he can’t take his place for granted anymore

I'm confused. You said "now we have players like Luiz and Martinez that feel more like Villa fans than Jack ever did".

I asked if they feel more like Villa fans after Jack got smacked by bluenose, scored the winner and said it was the best day of his life. Whether it "soon changed after", or not, is irrelevant to the question.

And yes, of course it's time to move on. As I said in my post, his move was best for all concerned. This doesn't mean we're not allowed to celebrate a Holte End hero and what he did for us.

He also said he believed in the project here…

And he also said signing for Man City was a dream come true…

so, frankly, whatever bollocks comes cascading out of that pricks mouth (or that of his father and the rest of his family) I wouldn’t take any notice of…

Just got back, I’m near to tears of joy. We are ridiculous. He is ridiculous.

Could you imagine how ridiculously good Arsenal could be right now had their board just stuck to their initial decision and let Unai do his thing?

The guy is something else bud...

Things have been impossibly good under him. Hard to really put in to words how he's turned this team around despite regularly starting 8 players he hasn't even signed. Real markings of a elite level coach.

    Mad isnt it?

Just over a year ago, we had some scouse chancer who won a title in Scotland and used to be a bloody good footballer in charge because he was mates with the CEO...
We were struggling badly and looking at the relegation places....

NSWE decided enough was enough and, SOMEHOW, convinced this magician/scientist/genius to come to us and show everyone what he can do...

Fast forward 12 months... We are playing in Europe for the first time in decades... and we have just made "the best side in world football" look like the Dog and Duck...

I am so ridiculously, immensely and insanely proud of our club tonight...

  15. The fact that NSWE decided to pull the plug on the Purlsow/Gerrard project... and immediately knew they wanted Unai... and sold the project to him...
He pulled his sleeves up, worked a little bit of his magic...
and 12 months later... we have just humiliated Citeh... are sitting in 3rd... with Villa Park being a proper fortress...

    Pinch me...

Key to his turnaround this season is his confidence and directness.  Been a sensation so far with a huge increase in goal contributions.  Great to see, really pleased for him

or the fact that his manager now knows what he is doing at the top end of football club management and knows how to utilise him to get the best out of him?

  17. that lad has taken dogs abuse for a couple of years because he hadnt lived up to his potential, or his price tag, or what everyone expected of him...

Hes knuckled down under Unai, played his arse off, and we are reaping the rewards of it...

    Well done Leon...

    Giants to a man.

Martinez - the few times we needed him, because we were so dominant, he was immense.

Konsa - Colossus. Fought and scrapped and ran the wing with aplomb, dominanted all comers. Immense.

Carlos - man mountain. Shrugged off everything, whacked the ball around with absolute confidence, dominant over everything. Immense.

Torres - swept up more than Hoover. Filthy passes, reset the play over and over, dominant. Immense.

Digne - owned the wing. Nobody could touch him. Dominant.. Immense.

Kamara - took the piss. So dominant he was able to become a central midfield attacking outlet. Battled everyone and dominated everyone. Immense.

Luiz - the cool head who was always available, nobody could touch him. Deserved a goal. Dominant. Immense.

McGinn - absolutely on it. They couldn't handle his terrier fight, they couldn't cope with the sharp turn and the quick feet, the midfield was his. Dominant. Immense.

Tielemans - just chucking out the casual cutting back heel, the incisive little flick, and getting in everyone's faces. Dominant. Immense.

Bailey - absolute filth. Hard hard work, they didn't know he was there, he was a step ahead all night. And he got the the goal he deserved. Dominant. Immense.

Watkins - back to the tussle and hard running, but he had them worried and that space let us dominant and be immense.

Moreno - came on to pick up whatever was left that Digne hadn't quite dominated, and dominated it, and was immense.

Ramsey - switched out Tielemans filth for Ramsey's sheer endeavour, and dominanted, and was immense.

Duran - sent on to be a menace in the final seconds and scares whatever was left of the Citeh team. He did so, dominating and immensely.

    **** hell we're a good team.

    YES.

Inarguably his best performance… Leon smashed it tonight…
