  1. I was just about to say that. He offers nothing!!!!
  2. Great shot, but completely against the run of play. We looked much the better team in the first half against QPR and had we played them after Liverpool I am sure we would have had the confidence to win it.
  3. No he isn't. He missed 11 games out of 38 in his first season and 6 last season. And how many this season? Who cares what he did the first season? :-) He's missed 4 out of 11. The first season matters because according to you he's out for half the games yet this hasn't been close to true in either his first or second season, nor is it the case for this season so far.
  4. Not much I disagree with, expect for the last bit. I think, bar Chelsea and Everton, that we have looked well in most part of the games except for our attacking side when Benteke is not there. Gabby and Andy are simply not producing, but what other choice is there? We don't even have a young striker to throw in and Bent has lost it completely. With the funds available and the existing contracts (Bent etc.) I really struggle to see what more PL could have done in the market. We actually have a decent first 11, problem is they are never fit to play. And the blame for the missing strength in depth is lies solely, IMO, with Lerner. Football is IMO so very much a confidence game. And with the run we had it is really difficult to keep that. We actually looked great against Arsenal for 30 min, but the flu properly made to hard for us get back in the game. After that the run was relentless and sucked out all confidence in the team. Southampton is high on confidence, and it shows. I don't blame PL for the Spurs loss and QPR were fuc.... lucky with there finishing!! Against WH we looked decent and had there been any decent strikers available then we could have won that. Overall my take is that our luck is really dire, and that PL is doing OK with the hand he has been dealt. Maybe we could get a shock effect with a new manager, but overall I don't think we would have done too much better in the last 6 games with another manager bar Ferguson, Clough, Morino or another world class manager. Koemann is doing great, but has miserably before. Pullis is good but not a miracle worker. I don't like the situation. And I am really not happy with the way things are going, but I fail to see that it is all PL's fault. That is my opinion an I know a lot of you don't share it - isn't football great :-).

  6. I agree Rob, he is not that good. And he is out for half the games and don't have any resell value. Delph on the other hand..............
  7. Even if he signed for us again, we can't afford to have a player like that on the books. The players we do pay top salaries to, must be able to play most games. We paid very little for Vlaar and he has played well, but we need stability and he will not give that to us. And if he was to stay, he would want 50k+ and for that I am sure we can find a good replacement. Vlaar is good, but not a world beater at all. It is just that our back ups has been so shit that he looks like a signing star. Just look at the form we have gotten for Senderos - I bet you he is not on 50k+ a week. There are more players like that out there. So in short I will not be sad to see him go. I am looking forward to getting a stable DC pairing. And for me Senderos and Bakker, with Hutton and Cisoko on the sides will do just fine.
  8. So sad to see that everyone is resigned to seeing Delph go. I would really have hopped that Fox would see the sense in signing him on.
  9. Hard to play much better than that without a decent attacker on the field. Benteke or Kozak would have made a world of difference.
  10. We need a point - no reason to gamble one to get three
  11. Not sure we have anyone at the bench, that can win it for us
  12. Problem is that we are just lacking some self believe - that run + injuries really set us back.
  13. Is it the immature schoolboy in me who sees this as Danish for Bellend? It is :-) Can see I misspelled his name. He is called Andreas Bjelland and plays for Twente. Used to play with Okore at FCN and was also consider to be ahead then. Was the star and was sold before Omore went to us.
  14. That's what I wanted to hear! Great news. Now it is time to get him on the shirt!!!!!!
  15. Not very likely, he is behind Kjær, Agger and Bjælland right now. Has to play for us to get ahead.
  16. It is all good having possession, but the trick is to do something with it and make it count. For me all that matters are results. For me we could play 10-0-0 and score from a corner in the first minute - as long as we win. I just want us to win stuff.
  17. Great news. Loosing Vlaar is one thing, but loosing Delph would be really hard to stomach. He can be our new Milner. And with Tom and Andi we could have a really good midfield for a few years to come.
