Ramsey, Diaby, 'Bailey... all counter-attacking players. Not surprising we don't get it done against these.
Such an oversimplification and bordering on an insult to Unai's coaching...

Plans were in place for M'Bappé, Gavi and Bellingham but Heck decided this would be "too many players, too quickly" and has instead decided we'll be bringing in James Milner on loan. His unveiling will include the revealing of new club crest, to be worn for the month of January, which is composed of two lions (one facing each way) contorted into the letters 'C' and 'H'.

Absolutely **** glorious.
I can't believe this.
I love you, Unai.

They don't have any centre* backs. Get some balls into the box. Tbf I think we were trying that first half so I'm hoping Unai tweaks things second so we can take advantage.
*edit: no idea why I put 'full backs' the first time!

Yeah Diaby is shit and has no pace.
Ridiculous.
Get Diaby in the game and we snatch this.
PS that seems harsh but for your username

Cash off please. No use against these anyway.

Cash don’t have the skill / footballing intelligence to play as right midfield..
Good at taking out their stronger players though...

Wenger is right. Needs to be a clear foot offside not this centimetres nonsense.
That's our main approach to defence **** then...

You have to admire big Ang and his brave, progressive high line against the ridiculous ill-conceived ready to be found out high line of Emery
I look forward to seeing both sides have all of their outfield players in the opposition's half at the same time and seeing what happens

This will be a very interesting test for us.
Although Spurs are severely weaked, they still have some great players (and a chance for some to prove themselves) and they're going to be pretty unpredictable.
Yes we should be winning this if we really want to be a top 4 team, but at the same time we're not at a stage in our development to expect a win here - especially given our previous away performances against strong sides.
I love Diego but worry about him too. Feels like he's got a red card or two in him and I worry that today might be the day. But hopefully he's his usual brick shithouse self without any major errors!

Back up keeper isn’t that hard you just get an experienced pro prob over 32 which isn’t old in goalkeeper terms who is super professional and wants a good contract
Isn't that hard? Can you name anyone fitting your description who is clearly a reliable keeper and would be willing to come in as backup?

Brilliant. Let's just find a backup goalie who's similar to Ederson. Easy.
Could do with a backup for Watkins with similar attributes to Pelé too while we're at it.

Their left back is absolutely shite.

Hugely frustrating.
Stupid goals to conceed.
Worst game Dougie has had in a long, long time. He was awful today and a large part of the reason not much was clicking.
Diaby tried hard. Torres looked good.
Very surprised some are voting Digne MOTM. Wasn't terrible by any means but had loads of the ball because Forest gave him the space and never really did anything of great quality with it - a few decent crosses but I feel we didn't make the most of all that space. I wish Ramsey were fit as I think he'd have destroyed them given all that room on the left.

Doug the worst he's played in a year.
Watkins appalling from 1-90.
Diaby and Zaniolo looked injured the moment they stepped onto the pitch.
Cannot wait for Bailey to no longer play for Aston Villa.
Tielemans, my god. What a chump he looks like.
Torres got loads of confidence from that goal, I think he had a great last 20 mins. Before that...less so. You couldn't find a decent CB less suited to the PL and our specific high line if you tried. An inefficient use of ~£75m.
Emi (obviously), Digne, Carlos, Konsa, Cash, McGinn not bad. Thought Kamara did well having been on a yellow since the 5th minute.
Ref garbage.
Refreshingly positive post.

Tielemans is growing into the game
Yes, looking better now. Hopefully if his confidence grows a little, his passing accuracy will improve.

I think we need to just start peppering their goal.
They'll be hard to walk through.
Not sure getting the keeper to start sneezing will have much impact if we can't create clear chances.

Tielemans is bad.

We have a lot of impressive set piece routines. McPhee doing really well.

Ezri Konsa is a **** magnificent footballer.

Looks more like Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker.
That's it! Wouldn't look out of piece grinning at an intersection, unpinned grenade in hand.
Which would still result in less destruction than Villa's attacking performance today...
