I have regularly eaten a whole pack of fig rolls by myself. Absolutely delicious.

Shit like this belongs only in the murkiest corners of the dark web.

I get that you probably can't help what you're into, but it's just wrong.

It doesn't matter what league either team is in. If the opposition park the bus very effectively then it's difficult to create much.

I don't even think they were exceptionally effective. They didn't look beyond the standard of their league; they just sat deep and we couldn't break them down.  None of their players looked like they were playing above their level - we just put in an awful performance against inferior opposition and conceded two horrendous goals.

Deserved, the team thought this was a walk over and certainly wasnt. I like deondonker thought he is ok so far this season, but my word he deserves a few slaps on face

Dendoncker was appalling today and the red card just topped it off. Way too casual and not moving the ball anywhere near quickly enough.

I don't think we were great, but certainly didn't deserve to lose. 2 really poor moments cost us.

Obviously we were the better team - we're a Premier League side against League Two opposition. But to say that two poor moments cost us is indefensible. We absolutely shouldn't be in that position: we should be creating and scoring more, and the bare minimum against such opposition sitting deep away from home is that we don't conceed - never mind two...

The starting 11 won, albeit not playing great.  It was the subs that turned us into shit.

That said,  an enbarrassing performance from every single player, except sanson. And i agree,  nearly all of them should be sold. Those performances warrant being fined the weeks wages as a minimum.

Olsen should never play for us again.

City are winning this Cup anyway, but would have been nice to get a win for the first time in 7 years

The starting XI were woeful despite being 1-0 up. Players continually giving the ball away. Stevenage sat deep and were relatively organised but did nothing that we wouldn't have expected from League Two opposition playing away from home. We were awful.

  6. I feel similar to blandy and didn't book tickets after weighing it up - seems I might have missed out.

Saw Jónsi on his solo tour (must be just over ten years ago now) and it was fantastic.

Our squad (fully fit) is similar in make up to his Valencia squad he took to 3 consecutive third places. Obviously we lack David Villa and David Silva but There are similarities.

Yeah you're right - all we need now are two absolutely top tier world class players. One we've got them, we'll piss top 4!

On a serious note, I hope he can get his ideas across but he's clearly a very, very good appointment. Welcome, Señor!

  8. Oh and unless things have changed, make sure you get your train ticket validated at a machine when going between Florence/Pisa. A group of Americans on the train across from us didn't, and they all got fined on the journey.

  9. Didn't find the same as @blandy at all but I guess everyone has different experiences of places. When I walked a bit further out, I came across a bar where they were serving free limoncello all evening - I don't particularly like the stuff but enjoyed that night!

If you like a stroll, I'd recommend going across the Ponte Vecchio to Boboli Gardens. Very picturesque and some beautiful views over the city.

  10. Really not good this week. James and Maddison with 2 points between them is a killer. Have Mendy still but Kepa started as I suspected he might, so a single Ward point it is.

Changed my mind about 15 times as to whether to take a hit to bring Zaha in this week, but went against it in the end - I do have Eze, not that he's comparable. So expect a Zaha haul tomorrow and nothing out of Eze, Rashford and the big Liverpool players I've stuck with (Trent, Salah).

  11. If it's not too late, spend longer in Florence than Pisa. It's a few years since I went, but there was a lot to see/do in the former and little in the latter. I did two nights in each but would rather have done a day trip to Pisa on reflection.

Italy is **** amazing anyway though so you'll have a great time, even just people watching!

  12. Thanks all! I'm not there over the weekend so don't have to worry about the Sunday closures... or Villa!

I'm a fan of Weißbier and general German beer anyway, so looking forward to that. If I end up drinking Warsteiner given the choice I anticipate will be available, then something will have gone very wrong.

I know a little German too so don't mind so much if things aren't translated in museums - I like the challenge! I visited on a school trip almost 20 years ago and seem to recall most people would prefer to speak English anyway when we're talking conversation rather than signs/info etc. - although that may be due to my atrocious schoolboy deutsch.

Appreciate all the advice. We are interested in the Nazi history side more than anything else (we're not fascists, I promise) but will give some of the other stuff a try.

Anyone had a meal up the TV tower? Not sure if it'd be worth it as a treat or better just sticking to other places when eating. We're staying in Mitte just for ease, but will get a transport pass and mish round elsewhere too.

  13. Off to Berlin in a couple of weeks with Mrs Trog. Anyone got any particular tips/suggestions?

We're looking at some of the usual historical stuff (Topography of Terror, Sachsenhausen, Berlin Story Bunker) and tourist sights (meal in the TV tower, Reichstag - although the dome is closed while we're there, possibly a museum or two) but if anyone has any suggestions or advice then it's more than welcome. We're off to a gig at the Columbiahalle while we're there but not party animals - just having three days away from the kids will be appreciated!
