  1. Loved fallout but couldn't get into Oblivion. Looking at Fabel 2
  2. He's Ashley , Ashley , Ashley Young, He running down the wing and looks like having fun, Wheeeeey Ooaoaoaoah He's a Villan, Villan, Villan To the tune of this The Specials - Too much too young
  3. General, are there any plans to fix the leaking pipes under the Trinity Road stand (the bit over the road). It may only be noticable on match days when the facilities are in use but should be fixed as people always walk under it on matchdays.
  4. is it united? I made it up from scratch and haven't heard anyone else singing it. Are there anything else left to sing which wont be labelled as copied?
  5. I still like my suggestion but no one commented on it : To the tune of 'country road' By John Denver: 'Trinity road, take me home, to the place where I belong, Villa Park, Aston Villa, Trinity Road take me home' What do you think?
  6. How about to the tune of or what ever its acalled: 'Trinity road, take me home, to the place where I belong, Villa Park, Aston Villa, Trinity Road take me home' What do you think?
  7. I thought that was the initial plan. Will be disappointed if its so small. I can hear it now 'what the **** hell is that' repeat to fade!!!
  8. Would be good, but would need to get some sort of concensus among the fans about what they say.
  9. Went for number 3 myself. If I remember correctly it will be unveiled against the Blose at VP is that correct? I had a idea for this match. People should make small banners and flags with silhoettes of the trophies or with imporat years in our history e.g 1874, 1888, 1932 etc. Or even player names from the past and present.
  10. Heard on the way to the JJB sung by a group of Villan walking behind us a funny rendition of 'Keep Right On' changed to 'Wipe that snot of the end of your nose' anyone know the words to this? Also heard to the tune of 'don't take my sunshine away' - We've got Scott Carson, Mellberg and Laursen etc anyone know thw complete version of this?
  11. We have to give them 15% of the ground to sit in.
  12. Check out this lot at a basketball game in Greece impressive vocal support
  13. Hi General, Just wanted to know which stadiums you have visited since being at the Villa have most impressed you and Randy, which may or maynot influence the design of the new North Stand?
  14. Thanks for the reply General K. Will look forward to seeing them, I hope we smash our ticket records with the aid of these new initiatives
  15. Hi General, was wondering if the press release is going to be like the Blues and our previous kit releases which I describe as amateurish, or will it be more classy e.g. similar to the teaser we have already seen? Also are we going to see the posters on bill boards around Brum? Have seen a few for season tickets already. Also what other ways are the club trying to advertised the club to the city and local areas?
  16. It probably was the site manager as he is a bluenose (was in Evening Mail yesterday I think)
  17. Please God, no! European style support is repetetive, lacks the humor and spontanious banter we love about the English support culture. I see people keep mentioning the PAOK chant and JulieB keeps trying to promote the VIVA song. I guess this is going to sound a bit harsh, and I honestly do appreciate that you're trying hard to get something going, but I really hope the Holte End won't adopt these songs. For me, this is one step closer to someone banging a big drum and before you know it we're like the Pompey fans with their two "song" repertoir. British fans are unique. They're funny, they're creative, they sing about tradition, have actual songs and they make a lot of noise. The key to bringing back the noise and atmosphere in British football is STANDING UP. Simple as that. We're not arguing against the spontaneity and humourous banter, we're saying that we should also have a good decent chant. Holtenders in the sky and "villa villa villa villa" are so lame, they are embarrassing. Villa fans don't make a lot of noise....the one game we did was against SUFC and we stuffed them. That is why so many people on here are keen to get new (and actually decent) chants/songs, it actually makes a difference. Holtenders in the sky is great, but anyway. I'm not saying we shouldn't get new chants and songs, but I don't think "eurostyle" e.g. PAOK and VIVA is the way to go. For me they represent a kind of atmosphere that I wouldn't want at Villa Park, because they are repetetive and simply quite dull. This is only my oppinion obviously, but I think we would rue the day we've ended up like Notlob and Pompey fans. Songs and chants should go in more traditional English tunes and rhymes. Can't beat that imo. Nothing morerepetitive that 'shit on the city' and 'Holte enders n the sky' (the crap short version that is). Went to Lyon in May they had over 20 long songs very impressive and sounded coll as well with the whole ground joining in. Much more exciting and inspiring than anything I've ever seen at Villa Park (except Athletic Madrid, Blues, and Sheffield United). Atmosphere in this country is dull unless you're an away fan and its not going to change unless standing is allowed but I can't see that happening
  18. I don't think the FC Cologne Version with the clapping sounds crap sorry but I don't and if you look on You Tube at FC Cologne fans singing it sounds great but then that's my opinion... Dwight York sounded a bit naff TBH until it was adopted but was great when everyone at VP or wembley when we won the cup was singing it!!! Agree. The german band makes it sound crap, but when the fans sing it it sounds really good
  19. The Scouse have movement at Anfield called 'Reclaim the Kop' where they are trying to inject European style support into English Football to generate some atmosphere hence all those banners and new songs. Think Newcastle have started something similar called 'Bring Back The Noise' Would love something like this to happen but people are just to happy with our crap songs and just sitting watching matches in silence
  20. Away matches and friendlies are best I think to get them started
