  1. I feel really sad about it and I have done for a number of years. When working in summer camps in the USA (this was back in 2005-6) I met some lovely Russians who (like me) wanted an adventure and wanted to meet people. I haven't kept in touch sadly but I wish I did. Some of them travelled for 2 days before catching the plane to the US. The one guy was really into his football so the one morning (as I knew it was his birthday) I dropped my Villa shirt onto his bed when he was working (I knew he was eyeing it up). Another new Villan I would like to hope. I don't dare think about how they are now (if even alive) . They deserve better than a warmongering fool.
  2. "The man from the Kremlin is obviously very afraid and probably hiding somewhere, not showing himself. I am sure that he is no longer in Moscow". Wow.
  3. Very good! I still prefer to use the term "pootin" as he is hopefully shi**ing himself and in a small tin. Then again, I hope he is putin a grave soon.
  4. He'll be in Argentina soon enough. "Wow!!!!!!" is an understatement.
  5. That happened hours ago in Rostov-on-Don (de-facto HQ for Russian activities in Southern Ukraine). They are moving up to Moscow now.
  6. Putin has already come on state TV (unscheduled, which tells you the severity of the situation) calling it treason. The chef will either die in battle or will see himself addressing the Russian nation. Putin has already fled towards St Petersburg (apparently) and Lukashenko (his best friend) has reportedly fled to Turkey.
  7. (I don't know Jeff! . Has there been a coup? I saw a few flames and a few things going on but I thought they were rotating forces or something ).
  8. Emergency COBRA meeting being called. Things are afoot.
  9. Person on Sky News just making the point that Wagner are big in Africa and elsewhere. Another person is stating that this is one of the models that US (and others) have been modelling for months.
  10. Putin has come out on national TV stating "Russia is fighting for life and security of its citizens", "treason" etc. He has a bounty on his head.
  11. There's pretty much zero chance of them using nukes. If they did, Russia would cease to exist. Don't forget that it just doesn't take a button in some office to let off one of these things. There will be many people in the chain and as soon as something suggests something is happening, they will be taken out. As for the fully mobilised comment, one could argue that Russia already are. They will bluff to state they have vast reserves but they also need to patrol and protect their Eastern borders.
  12. This mob will have no chance against NATO. They don't have much chance against Ukraine alone (albeit with NATO help). Ukraine is nailed-on to join NATO as soon as Russia is kicked out or they withdraw. As for Belarus, as soon as Putin falls, I would expect Lukashenko to do so too (he's probably already in Turkey). If the angry chef eventually takes over and turns to say, Georgia, then who knows but I would anticipate some level of support from NATO. The bigger question is what happens if Russia ends up in civil war - China will be licking their lips.
