I thought I heard some boos on TV for Clark that would be only thing I would be critical of
Unfortunately booing sounds carry well and can sound like they are coming from a reasonably large section. Sat in the centre of the Upper Holte, I heard some booing towards Clark. Looking around, I couldn't see anyone booing so, in reality, the booing was limited to a small minority of thousands of fans.

Thought the "sent you down my lord" was really small time
It was in response to the jawdees singing something along the lines of 'your not very good'. As both chants were factual, I've little problem with either of them.
I thought our support was pretty good yesterday. Understandably annoyed by half time but got behind the lads well in the second half. It got quite loud in the Upper Holte.

Five day city break cycling and walking around Prague in the late summer sunshine. Some beautiful sights.

I'm fortunate to not to have seen any of the Ipswich match but a lack of intelligence was definitely present during the second half of the Brentford match. So many poor decisions by too many players - defenders booting the ball long when not under pressure; midfielders tapping the ball back to the defence when they had time to pick a forward pass; forwards slowing down a possible break, shooting instead of passing and passing instead of shooting. Not good.

Definitely what. It's more brittle than glass.

At least we won't blow a lead. Leave scoring our goal as late as possible. Only way we win
We've still got 45 minutes to score and still lose, although in fairness, we don't look like scoring.*
* typed because my football predictions are often poor and I really hope I'm wrong.

Next 6 games
H BRENTFORD
a Ipswich
H NEWCASTLE
A Barnsley
A preston
H WOLVES
Honestly I think we need to be aiming 3 wins minimum from these games
12 points would be good, 10 points okay. Less than 9 points and It will leave us a LOT (probably too much) to do for the remainder of the season to achieve automatic promotion. On the plus side, there has been teams that have had a relatively poor first half of the season and then hit a winning streak to just make the play-offs.

But how do you stop an apple tree from growing in your belly?
Just to add to what I wrote about me eating apples. My Dad eats about 3 apples a week (core and all) and has done since he was a kid. He's fit and healthy and will be 75 next month.

I remove the stalk, if any, and then eat the whole apple, core, pips and all. Good roughage and I don't need to look for a bin.
1 hour ago, Davkaus said:I'm genuinely not sure if you're taking the piss or not.
Not. I remember eating an apple down to the core in my teenage years and my Dad said "What's wrong with that bit?" I said you can't eat the core so he grabbed it from me and ate it. I've not wasted any part of an apple since. I tend to eat a few apples in a week and then none for a month so I probably average one apple per week. That's around 1560 apples and cores I've eaten in the last 30 years!

Time to stop worrying. We'll know in the next season or two.

I'm not sure if Grealish had 9 months or 21 months left on his contract. Even if it was 21 months as I suspect, the club has been criticised previously for losing players on the cheap as their contracts ticked down. Hopefully Grealish's new contract will be incentive based and he earns well through our success.

I find it odd that a player who scored 20 goals wasn't rated higher. Have Bristol City had lots of goal scorers over the last few years and just been a bit spoilt.
We had Benteke and were all gutted when he finally went.
I think it is synonymous with many fans thinking like they are playing football manager with their own club. 90% of the transfer fees between clubs seem obscene to me but I accept that my footballing brain hasn't yet caught up with the previous TV rights deal, let alone the new TV deal now in place.
I really hope Villa pay the extra £4m for Kodjia. If we do, we'll have earnt more than 20 times that amount from the increased income to the club. Whether one club has 'overpaid' another club for a player or not, fans don't benefit. It won't mean cheaper ticket prices or better pies at the selling club and most of the time the money isn't reinvested well.
Although Villa is currently a spending club, I accept that some of our new players will turn out to have been expensive, in hindsight. It's the price paid to increase the chance of the club doing better. In any case, it's not my money being spent so, even with hindsight, I've never seen the point in thinking which club has over or under paid for players. Commenting on fees before a player has kicked a ball for their new club seems even more nonsensical.

Fair play to Jack, I thought he would have been first player to hand in a transfer request but looks like he staying until January the very least
Unless he's the only one, or one of a couple of players, performing well in a team that is struggling in the bottom half, I don't see Jack angling for a move this season.

I've had stomach cramps on and off since Thursday night, possibly from the heat, I'm not sure. Anyway I'm still getting twinges so called in sick today for the first time in 18 months or so (Thursday and Friday were my normal days off) and got a load of sarcasm from the manager who took my call. I feel guilty enough taking time off, the last thing I need is shit like that.
Congratulations! When's it due?

Thanks.
Should be able to get tickets on the day then for all games.
With the corrected capacity of 37,000 and a new faith that our team could do well this season, a few home wins could lead to a match day shut out against the bigger Championship teams.

I googled the upper Trinity capacity and subtracted what I found from 42600. From the sheer size of it, I should have realised it was just above 5000 and not 3500. Stupid me for trusting a Birmingham Evening Mail article!

My guess is Oasis - just near the top end of Corporation Street. They will be buying their patchouli oil cheap from there too.
