We should have had an extra 2 points after the debacle yesterday

We should have had 6 points off man yoo this season

We should have beaten Sheffield utd at home

    Etc

    Etc

Could have, would have and should have.....it always comes down to that, I hope we don't come to regret what happened yesterday...

i should have won the lottery...

we could have lost to Man City at home

We could have lost to Arsenal at home

we could have should have etc etc etc

    what happens happens.....

all teams at this stage of the season will pick up points where they don't expect to and lose points where they dont expect to

    it's that time of year

the season is not defined from yesterday....FTF UTV

Does it really matter, it's more of a liability him actually out there on the pitch for them so I'd rather he didn't miss three games as he can't run anymore.

    it does matter actually....

it's all about consistency with referees and VAR... and for anybody in the game that's a red card all day long....

    another minus for VAR

even from Casemiro's reaction he thought he was going to see red

Edit: The ref was all of 5 yards from the incident....shocking really when you look at it

He has no history in football as far as I am aware so I’d find it very surprising if he was scouting and buying players that nobody else had asked for.

I doubt he’d have any involvement aside from putting his trust in people at the club and signing the cheques.

maybe, but as soon as he arrived the strategy of the club changed almost immediately......where does that come from? He's done his homework before he bought Chelsea so he knows what he wants to do.

for example, our owners have done things steadily....it's a stark contrast so whats happening at Chelsea.

Would you be happy with him as our owner?

In what way? Isnt the dream owner one that fully backs the manager and scouts by bringing in the players they ask for?

for sure but did Poch ask for all of those players? I might be wrong but i'm not sure he did.

I thought the owner was like a kid in a sweet shop buying whatever then dishing out 5/6/7 year contracts.

There's your answer....City are the same.....The next 3 down Us, Spurs, and Man U....have similar issues, check the goals against column.

when we go 2 goals up the likelihood is the opposition seize a plan to come back at us.....that's the time the "Off the ball" skill set gets tested.....we don't stop opponents coming at us, very well.

You can make your mind up about that.....but when you  scrutinize what the best teams do.....they go after you, to deny you the ball, to hunt the ball down, and smother any initiative, the opponent has...That's their way of defending in midfield.

as the old managers use to say, the time to get your foot in, is after you have just scored....its called competing.

When you have one the best Goalkeeper around and one of the best strikers, you always achieve something, but we need a bit more, for consistency.

Injuries are killing us, I know that, and the bigger squads this time of year, highlight that....its at the business end of the season, it makes the difference.

i hear what you say in many of your posts, some i agree with and some i don't, but who are you blaming?

    The manager or the players?

The manager sets the team up and sets out the tactics and the players go out there and play to those tactics.

We play at a slow pace to draw the opposition. That has to be down to Unai and his tactics. There is a distinct difference to how we are playing now to how we were playing earlier in the season. Why and who is that down to?

Incidentally, if Chelsea finish 6th having reached the FA Cup semi-final, can there be a claim for Poch having done an okay job of getting something out of that mess?

definitely......i think they are better than most people think and Poch is doing well with whats going on in the background with the shit show from Boehly

all for getting the atmosphere going as when VP rocks it rocks and this seems to be a good initiative.

but VP1897 group please, please, please tell me you're not going to be investing in and bringing a drum to the ground.

the games i watch on tv are so annoying when there's a drummer.......i can only imagine it's even worse at the stadium

also, can anyone shed any light on how it went at yesterdays game. Cheers.

  8. What a fabulous jockey......amazing almost the magnificent 7 again.

Frankie Dettori rides six winners in a row at Santa Anita

Frankie Dettori fell just short of producing an American version of his famous magnificent seven when riding six straight winners on the Santa Anita Derby card.

The Italian memorably won every race at Ascot back in September 1996, on a day which cost British bookmakers an estimated £40million.

Now based across the Atlantic after abandoning plans to retire last year, Dettori looked set to rewrite the record books when rattling off six consecutive victories on Saturday night, including a Santa Anita Oaks triumph.

Sadly, he couldn’t add to his tally from four more rides but it was still a special occasion for the 53-year-old.

He stated: “I adore this place and to be able to say that I won six races on Derby day is beyond my wildest dreams.

  9. Today could be the day that Tamworth get promoted to the National League.

Home to Warrington and only 1 point required.

It would be good if they could do it in front of their own fans although i'd expect there to be a few nervous players out there today.

Good luck to them. I hope they do it.

IIRC the graphic designer who does those images doesn't have any particular inside information on who will play.

yeah, perhaps i'm reading too much into it.....

Personally, If there's any slight risk i would rather Watkins be available for the Lille game.

I think Duran can do a job again today if needed.

Not sure its that relevant for us if honest. European teams take Europe serious regardless competition compared to arrogant English media/teams and we shouldn't fall for that trap

The relevance is we're playing them next Thursday and they've got an extra days rest. That's all.

They finished winning 3-1 and have an incredible home record. (i know we are at home first)
