  1. We really need to beat Chelsea

Arsenal are no certs to beat Spurs. It's a derby and anything can happen, that, and Spurs home form v Arsenal is pretty good

the last 20 home matches in all competitions v Arsenal it's been

    W 11

    D 4

    L  5

    that dates back to 2007

  2. John Percy has written a pretty good article about it.

    clicky clicky

Unai Emery can be Aston Villa’s Sir Alex Ferguson – instead of following him

A one-year option will keep Emery at Villa Park until 2027 as the club eyes to built on its astounding progress over last 18 months
Unai Emery is on the brink of leading Aston Villa to the Champions League and will now be asked to build a legacy to become the club’s version of Sir Alex Ferguson.
Emery has triggered a one-year option to his current contract until 2027 as ambitious owners Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens move to keep the highly-rated Basque coach at Villa Park.
Sawiris and Edens have driven the decision to discuss new terms with Emery, with further negotiations planned for the summer over a lucrative, long-term deal.
NSWE want to offer Emery the platform to lead the club towards an even brighter future, with regular excursions in the Champions League regarded as just the start.

The huge commitment to Emery is viewed as essential and deserved, after a remarkable transformation in 18 months.

  3. boooooom...

    great news

love the comment that the owners see him as our 'Alex Ferguson'

If he's only a fraction as successful as he was i'll be happy.

It's Villa, I think we know which will turn up. See Man U for details. We'll just have to be better. At least we'll have had a bit of a breather.

    Arsenal and Bournemouth say hello

    Edit: Keep the Faith

Yep, just got that email. Not happy about it as I refuse to have anything on auto-renewal as a general point of principle.

I’ll be emailing them tomorrow to cancel the auto-renewal.

    same here

  6. In my view, If the ref would have given three penalties not one of them would have been overturned by VAR.

I think all three are pens and the ref has got it wrong and he's had no help whatsoever from the system that's there to help him.

We've all seen matches this season where the first two have been given. The last one is a really poor decision from VAR.
