I take it you didn’t watch the game, or if you did you were distracted. The goal was coming for them at 1-1, we were decent for the first 20 minutes then they completely dominated bar one or two counter attacks we had. We gave them a free kick from that position just before they scored the second which Alvarez put over, I knew they would score on the 2nd attempt. I’d blame Olsen for not diving more than the wall, but ok. It was an average free kick.
It was never a team that was going to win the game so I’m more annoyed about the team selection for that reason. Other examples: 5 at the back against Spurs, not changing anything against Newcastle until we were 3 down, not playing Pau in a massive game against Man Utd when he was on the bench. I could go on. I still love him for what he’s done for us but he very clearly makes mistakes and this calendar year has made many of them.
I know you like to condescend mate but just give it a rest, we lost badly, we’re all hurting so let’s just move on and hope that we hang on to 4th despite how badly we’ve played the last 3 months.
I think you need to watch the replay of the free kick. No way was Olsen to blame for that.
The Wall was positioned correctly and Olsen was in position to where the wall was placed.
If Zaniolo does his job in the wall and stands tall and doesn't turn his back he blocks it. Thats why you have a wall.
To say Olsen could have dived more is stretching it to say the least.

Well if we continue to play like that we’ll win more than we lose.
Definitely agree with you, but is this the same person who said this after the Kamara injury?
'' We have gone backwards and been weakened by further injuries. We'll lose more than we win from the remaining games. £10 to VT if i'm wrong''

Full strength side could well have lost by the same margin here, and then also been "more tired" for the run of Brentford, Lille, Arsenal, Lille, Bournemouth.
I don't fully understand the bed wetting, if I'm honest.
and there wasn’t much bed wetting in the first half either !!!

Nor them. Seems pretty consistent.
apart from when Grealish has asked him to book Luiz on two occasions and he’s already on a card himself!!!!

The frontline could be quite exciting to watch - Duran, Rogers, Zaniolo and Diaby will be a handful for anyone.
yes......if they manage to get over the halfway line

The Golden Lion in Brixham has had a mural painted on the side of the building.
There's a time lapse video of it being done on FB here https://www.facebook.com/reel/1438227343752453
and here's a picture of the finished article. Looks really cool.
The pub was closed for a while and has been taken over with new owners giving it a good go.

reading the last two pages it’s confusing!!!!
can anyone tell me if we’ve a game in hand or Spurs have a game in hand or if we’ve played the same amount of matches?

Tamworth only needed a point from the last 4 games, or Chorley to drop any points.
I went to the game today at Brackley and Tamworth were utterly atrocious. 1 down after 2 minutes. 2 down after 12 minutes. Only 1 shot on goal I can remember. Could barely string 2 passes together. Second best to absolutely everything.
It finished 3-0 and Chorley won their game so on it goes. It might work out better to secure it on Saturday anyway at home. Last season the title was won away from home. I’m sure it’s 10x better doing it in front of the home fans.
fair play
i really hope that get promoted

Actually didn't he down something similar to Digne a few weeks back? Although context seems to be different?
there's a huge difference of Emery talking to Digne on the bench to what Pep did.....nowhere remotely comparable

He can give players a bollocking all he likes, but on camera on the pitch is NOT the place to do it.
absolutely this
you don't do your dirty washing in public
it's borderline showboating and it reminds me of when Phil Brown kept the Hull players out on the pitch for the half time talk.
some things you just don't do and this is one of them.
I would be mortified if Unai did something like this (i doubt he ever would as he's got far too much class to sink to that level)

Tamworth having a wobble and are 2 down to 4th place Brackley.

We were far too open on the left in the first half hour and Moreno was exposed so many times. All of there threat came from that side.
Rogers played well in the first half in particular with his runs with the ball. The one where he was fouled twice but kept on running and eventually got the free kick. I don't know why the ref didn't book the two players instead of the one. Both fouls were as bad as one another.
You can see that Wolves are a decent side, so aligned with our poor record against them that was a big win for us. Well happy.
I thought Tielemans had a very good game and got my motm vote.
No doubt in my mind that the subs made a big difference to us. Zaniolo and Digne changed it and gave us some much needed impetus. That with the aggression from Duran rattled them.
Emery got that right. Strange bordering trolling that he's got one vote as very poor. Weird!!!

Holding 31 shots to Brentford is absolutely outrageous. They are such a bad side.
Hope they keep ETH in charge for as long as possible.
or sack him and get Gareth Southgate in
-
1 up happy with that and we got better the half went on but some poor decision making in the final third
we’ll score again in the 2nd half
-
with Bailey and Diaby playing, Rogers has a big big responsibility in the midfield
let's hope he plays a blinder
-
the bench is very light
not much there to change it too much
