  1. Quite simply our best defender and fitness permitting, has to start every game. However, he does appear to be getting worse on the ball, but that could be the crap around him not helping?

  2. I am not one for sacking Garde with 9 games to go, but if I was told at work tomorrow that he had walked I wouldn't be too disappointed.  Still think there is a real good manager in there but everything seems to have transpired against him being successful here.

You know, I started out feeling a bit skeptical about this thread, but the last ten days or so has really convinced me that this is a huge issue.

That shot shown on MOTD last night with players quite literally standing around in the lead up to City's 3rd(?) goal has shocked me to be honest. There are some real rocket polishers stealing a living out there.

Absolutely this! I too watched in amazement at that footage last night.  2,3,4 players just standing watching City build up towards our box - Scandalous!  If I was Garde I would make the first team watch it over and over tomorrow, but doubt they would even care.  Club captain and team captain are just anything but and now need to sit in the stands!

  4. The senior figures in the squad need to be removed either now or in the summer.  In any walk of life, it's the senior figures that influence the rest.  Replace these 3,4,5 with a new captain and possibly 1 or 2 new senior figures with the right attitude/mentality, then the training ground will be a better place in my opinion.  As an example, imagine having Gareth Barry again around the squad next season!   I don't for one minute think he would want to come back but there must be 1 or 2 out there that would fit the mould!

Not ideal Newcastle (or Sunderland for that matter) coming down with us, means less TV matches, smaller slice of the 'big club' pie....they both have better teams than us too...and probably will next season.

This would be my worry for next season too!  It's going to be tough enough without increased competition.

"We are in this together". Good riddance  hopefully Lescott follows him.

Yep, couldn't agree more with this! Should be the first two out the door in the summer, closely followed by at least five or six others.  I still think of that Laursen and Mellberg partnership - now those two were polar opposites in every way.

  7. Can't disagree with any of the post above to be honest. Richards is quite simply a terrible club captain and must be such a poor influence on the rest of the squad.  Petty of me here I know, but the fact he chews gum during games really bugs me too, smacks of cockiness and arrogance.  As I said in my previous post in this thread, our first signing in the summer needs to be our new captain!  Again, I am really not sure who or what position but we need a real leader and someone that sets an example to the rest.  Quite simply, we so lack a Barry, Petrov etc

  8. Nothing but a Man City win here.  If fit, Okore has to return and Richards to RB in the hope that he will want to put in a performance against his former club:

    ---------------------Guzan------------------------

    Richards------Okore-------Lescott------Cissokho

    ---------------------Gana-------------------------

    -----------Bacuna-----------Westwood---------

    ------Ayew------Gestede------Agbonlahor-----

Think Garde may just stick with the five at the back though, but would rather see us play with a four!  Little bit of pace playing off Gestede could cause them one or two problems possibly?

Bench of:  Bunn, Hutton, Clark, Veretout, Lyden, Gil, Sinclair.

    5-1 to Man City unfortunately!

As one of those who has helped this a little, can I just say that a lot goes on behind the scenes. In a week, and to get to where we were yesterday, a LOT happened. We didn't just put the idea out and wait. We approached people, phoned peopled, called phone ins, spent money on leaflets and time on social media and websites. We all have jobs and families, but in our own way - combined, we took this on and pushed it so bloody hard. Whilst I appreciate other ideas, I also know how hard it is to make things work. So I appeal to you to give us support. We aren't doing this for personal gain - but to give YOU your club back. To give you hope, to give you a cause to get behind. So by all means protest in other ways, but also back this and make this work. Join thousands who have already committed themselves to it. Let's create momentum and make Fox slip further down in his seat. We CAN do this together. If this small group has done this much in a week, what could we do with even more backing?

Come on guys, make this work even better than it has!

Here, here and spot on! Thank you again to you and all those involved!! Standing still won't change anything and momentum is key as you quite rightly say.  UTV and OTDO74.

Agree, but you can make an attempt to play who you would like to see playing next season.

I do agree with this I really do but as I said above and on page 410, does Garde actually have a pattern of play and idea of how he wants to see us play now and next season? Really starting to have doubts about him to be honest.  Yes I would like to see Lyden, possibly Mason and Sellars etc introduced but then again are they ready for it?
