But do you want 4k, HD, how many HDMI ports, do you want android, built in apps, camera, mic, etc.
If the only thing that matters is the size, just buy the cheapest.
Crikey, i just want to watch telly on the best picture i can and not fussed on features. Kids may differ though.

Is there any reason that you are focusing on brand before features?
Hi mate, not really, it's just that i have the space for a 43" (just), but could look at 40" I suppose. I just can't go bigger than 43". Any advice would be welcome. Thanks

Hi all, can i have some advice on Sony 43" TV's please. I'm thinking of getting one, but totally unsure of which, as there appears to be 3/4 models? Does anyone know whats best? Thanks

I'd be happy in January to bring in a high energy midfielder and a competent right back on loan until the end of the season. Anything more than this would be a bonus. Loftus-Cheek or Chalobah for the midfield. Trippier, Jenkinson or Debuchy for right back. I would bite the hand off Hull though if they were prepared to swap Gestede for Hernandez.

And hope we can sneak a 0-1. I expect us to lose this one though.
I've just logged on to put that exact team out. The only possible change I would make to that line up is if Jedinak was considered available, then I would swap either Bacuna or Tshibola. I would take a point from this game and I expect us to get one. UTV

What is this I'm Alan Partridge you speak of? I have seen it mentioned a couple of times, but before I never even heard of it? Is it really good?
Each to there own mate, but I think it's very good. It ran for 2 series, six episodes in each. 'Knowing me, knowing you' was shown prior to I'm Alan Partridge, which again was very good and maybe a good place to start.

The thing is with British comedy is that we all love a loser/someone down on there luck. From Hancock, Steptoe, Del Boy, Fletcher, Blackadder, Alan Partridge, David Brent, to name a few. American comedy has in main looked at comedy from someone being successful etc. I love British comedy and one that rarely gets a mention is 'Early Doors'. If some on here have never seen it, then please give it a go. Very underrated in my opinion. Top 3 for me in no order: Only Fools, Blackadder, I'm Alan Partridge, but with a special soft spot for Steptoe and Porridge.

Was thinking about this again the other day and thinking of a way that we could attract investment/visitors to the ground on a non match day (especially overseas visitors to Birmingham). What about incorporating a huge casino/bar/restaurant in any new North Stand and give that casino the naming rights to the stand over say a five year period? An example being something like the 'Genting' Stand? It could bring significant investment and visitors on an evening? Alternatively, what about a really top class restaurant/bar incorporated into any new stand to again attract visitors on an evening? Just some thoughts.

Loan Jenkinson
Yep, loan Jenkinson or Trippier until the end of the season.

I do like the look of some modern stadia, but I have to agree with OBE here. Brick rather than sheets of metal every time. I mentioned in an earlier post that we have Aston Hall on our doorstep and you only have to look at that to realise that we could have something quite unique in football stadia ourselves. A Victorian/traditional look from the outside, but with a complete state of the art interior. I still wonder if we can have a closer link with Aston Hall in some way? A beautiful walk way perhaps between the two? The mosaic and some of the brick work around the Holte is the starting point for me in any future design consideration.

Visited the Villa store today for a kit for my lad and the one thing that really hit home for me was that in and around the ground it is quite a dour place. This is something I don't really notice on a match day because there is a buzz around the place. Approaching from the moterway/Star City area is pretty bad and any away supporter must think it's a real dump. Even the Hote pub is starting to look a little tired again. Driving down the side of the Doug Ellis stand is just dull, bland and lacks any visual spectical, even the park opposite looks uninviting and not somewhere that you'd want to sit and stare at the stand because there is just nothing to see. Pulling into the main car park behind the North Stand is again disappointing, with too much dirty grey concrete everywhere. Even the car park is half concrete and half tarmac? The club shop is ok, but a brighter megastore sorely needed.
Having had a really good look around the place today I feel some of the suggestions on here are really good ones and yes, perhaps expensive but badly needed. The North Stand is a lost cause and will need a complete rebuild and I like the idea of a megastore/ticket office incorporated underneath. A revised fascade of brickwork on the Trinity would be fantastic. Great idea. The Doug Ellis from the outside needs changing and the only thing I could think of today would be glass panelling so you can see inside the stand and it's corridors, rather than sole less grey panels? The Holte is ok and can be left alone for now, but a revised car park and possible fan zones a very good idea. The Holte pub perhaps needs a lick of paint again. I wonder if there is any way that we can be closer linked to Aston Hall and have a nice walk between the two?
Driving away and back towards the moterway, I again wondered if the area could be regenerated in some way? I think someone has already mentioned what Man City have done to their local area and perhaps we could copy this in agreement with the council/local residents. I finally wondered if the Dr would want to tap into Star City someway and make it a little more upmarket, encouraging investment and then have things like a luxury hotel, shops and restaurants etc? A Resort World copycat?
All in all Villa Park could be a fantastic place to visit. Someone previously said our Eiffel Tower and they are quite right. If people visit Birmingham, I want them to think that they must see Villa Park. I don't want a soulless silver bowl but character. The mosaic on the Holte is a starting point area for sure and could certainly again be considered around the Trinity and perhaps Doug Ellis stands? I hope it's not a pipe dream, but something that the Dr considers a reality. A fan consultation group is a great starting point to any future vision though. Let's make it happen. UTV.

Hutton----------Chester----------Baker-----------Amavi
----------------------------Jedinak---------------------------
------------------Tshibola-----------Gardner----------------
----------------------------Grealish--------------------------

Subs: Steer, Elphick, Cissokho, Westwood, Hepburn-Murphy, Adomah, Gestede
Think we'll win this one 2-0. Kodjia and McScore to the get the goals.

I think we'll be looking at loans strongly in the January window and a couple of these would be my preference:
RB: Trippier or Jenkinson (Loan)
MD: Loftus-Cheek or Chalobah (Loan). Huddlestone, Meyler, Adam (Permanent)
ST: Afobe (Loan). Ambitious I know, but would love to see him come!

Tony Hibbert on a month by month contract? Osman and Essien are decent shouts, but wouldn't fitness be an issue for all out of contract players?
-
I actually quite like McCormack and think if he's played correctly can be a real asset. You can see he has a football brain and perhaps a quicker decision maker than some we have. Value for money? Perhaps not, but certainly don't agree that he's a waste of money. Proven that he can score 15/20 + goals at this level, so don't see how we can consider that a waste?

Thank **** you are not the chairman or the manager. We would more likely be focusing on preparing for league 1 football with those names.
And Joey Barton is the answer to that?
I wonder how the players might feel knowing they are a training session away from a cigar in the eye ball or that he is betting the teams we play to win?
He is a total pr*ck flush. I think we have enough issues to be getting on with rather than adding to them.
Obviously i disagree but all about opinions which is why we post.

Joey Barton was in the team of the year last season in this league. He was Burnleys player of the year. Sean Dyche is a massive fan. Agreed he can have his moments but we should've signed him in the summer and if he was free at Xmas I'd have him.
Can't argue, which is why i suggested him yesterday. Would rather have Barton over Westwood and Gardner any day of the week.

David Meyler has always seemed solid when I've seen him. Trust in Bruce to know if he was worth enquiring about though.

I think we need to go back to basics on this one, just accept that our midfield is diabolical and try to pack it out to reduce us getting played through constantly and dominated. I would go for (assuming injuries are not going to improve):
Gollini
Chester Baker Cissokho
Jedinak
Bacuna Tshibola McCormack Grealish
Kodija
When we have the ball Bacuna and Grealish can push forward, as can McCormack to support Codger, when we haven't got it Bacuna and Grealish fall back and act like two wing backs/defensive mids to support the back three. I don't like not playing Ayew, but not sure how else to fit a decent(ish) midfield in. This could be an awful formation... I don't even know what to suggest, we're crap.
Grealish as a wing back would be ridiculous! We certainly need a solid three in the middle of the park though.

Barton's character wouldn't help resolve issues hence why he's getting kicked out of Rangers.
I'd still have him in a heartbeat. One or two of our lot need a kick up the arse and some home truths said to them.

I would take Iorfa and Hause. Both an upgrade on Hutton and Richards.
