  1. Trade down a few spots. I think Bradford can be good.
  2. I think this is an amazing cover. Its TRAIN doing "Ramble On/Whole Lotta Love". *If you have headphones or earplugs please use them for this, its 50 times better.* http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zTeW_SIWno0
  3. The Browns have a tough last 6 weeks. They play the Pittjacks and Ratbirds twice each.
  4. From YAHOO Sports: Recovery from the procedure typically takes at least eight to 10 weeks, said Dr. Victor Khabie, co-chief of the Orthopedics and Spine Institute at Northern Westchester Hospital in New York. He has not treated Manning, but is familiar with the procedure and how athletes recover from it. “It could be season-ending, seeing the piggybacking off of another surgery,” Khabie said. “But the athletes I’ve known over the years, I never count out because they are such great competitors and such great healers. 5. Theres a rumor going around that Peyton Manning may be out for the YEAR! Nothing official yet other than he is NOT playing this week. I have a friend who lives in Indianapolis and I am waiting to see what he has heard.
  6. Former Ohio State QB Terrelle Pryor is taken by the Raiders who give up a third round pick in the Supplemental Draft today. The Raiders--Where Careers go to die. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=Alwd4rEKsOwLnuJmld2GGRxDubYF?slug=ap-supplementaldraft
  7. Michael Vick takes on Polamalu after interception. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_corner/post/Video-Polamalu-and-Vick-temporarily-forget-it-?urn=nfl-wp5391
  8. A guy on ESPN said Tim Tebow "looked like a man being chased by bees." THATS funny.
  9. Browns to go 8-8 if they can keep key players healthy. This team has no depth so an injured starter thats out for awhile would be a huge blow. Super Bowl will be Packers and Patriots. Its a QB driven league but defense wins games.
  10. The Pro Bowl has gotten really lame. That is probably the worst all-star game out of baseball, basketball, hockey and football. They need to do something to fix that. Like A) Move it back to AFTER the Super Bowl 2) Increase the winning teams pay--make it winner take all, losing team gets nothing. Its like a practice game now. That sucks. And, yes, I understand the inherent risks, but at this rate they may as well not even play the game. And who would pay good money to watch that farce as it is? And I LOVE football, which is the sad part. I think the DeSean Jackson punt return video was staged.
  11. Yep! Two good defenses. I really hope the Steelers dont win. The world doesnt need that. Plus, GB's Clay Matthews father played for the Browns for a long time. Does it make me a bad person if I want to see Woerthlissrapistberger get knocked out?
  12. This is me every Sunday afternoon around 4pm--
  13. I just had my own Lebron James moment...I went to Burger King for lunch and played the scratch off game. To my surprise, it said "sorry you are not a winner." Determined to not give up, I am driving to McDonald's to try to win something there instead.
  14. Heres "The Decision", first take, interview that we didnt get to see:
  15. LeBrons a phony. He's not a leader, he's a follower. He went on national TV for self-promotion and to jam it up Clevelands rear. What a classy guy. Congratulations. John Oates. Art Garfunkel. He can be Scottie Pippen and Dwayne Wade will be Michael Jordan. He will be the "Robin" to Wades "Batman". Lets see if he keeps his squeaky clean reputation in Miami. There is alot of temptation down there...and he wont have the Cavaliers organization to sweep it under the rug for him. Dan Gilbert and the Cleveland Cavaliers did everything for this guy and gave him whatever he wanted, from wearing certain uniforms (and getting fined for it by the NBA) to match HIS shoes, to the hiring and firing of teammates and coaches...and looking back, yes, that was the wrong thing to do. But the organization did it not with malice in their intent, but out of generosity-- and to appease the monster they/we had created. The strength of a city comes from its people, not its pro athletes. This too shall pass. "Wheres your crown King Nothing?..."-Metallica Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert wrote an open letter to the team’s fans after LeBron James announced his decision to leave the franchise after seven seasons. Here it is in its entirety. "Dear Cleveland, All Of Northeast Ohio and Cleveland Cavaliers Supporters Wherever You May Be Tonight; As you now know, our former hero, who grew up in the very region that he deserted this evening, is no longer a Cleveland Cavalier. This was announced with a several day, narcissistic, self-promotional build-up culminating with a national TV special of his “decision” unlike anything ever “witnessed” in the history of sports and probably the history of entertainment. Clearly, this is bitterly disappointing to all of us. The good news is that the ownership team and the rest of the hard-working, loyal, and driven staff over here at your hometown Cavaliers have not betrayed you nor NEVER will betray you. There is so much more to tell you about the events of the recent past and our more than exciting future. Over the next several days and weeks, we will be communicating much of that to you. You simply don’t deserve this kind of cowardly betrayal. You have given so much and deserve so much more. In the meantime, I want to make one statement to you tonight: “I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER ‘KING’ WINS ONE” You can take it to the bank. If you thought we were motivated before tonight to bring the hardware to Cleveland, I can tell you that this shameful display of selfishness and betrayal by one of our very own has shifted our “motivation” to previously unknown and previously never experienced levels. Some people think they should go to heaven but NOT have to die to get there. Sorry, but that’s simply not how it works. This shocking act of disloyalty from our home grown “chosen one” sends the exact opposite lesson of what we would want our children to learn. And “who” we would want them to grow-up to become. But the good news is that this heartless and callous action can only serve as the antidote to the so-called “curse” on Cleveland, Ohio. The self-declared former “King” will be taking the “curse” with him down south. And until he does “right” by Cleveland and Ohio, James (and the town where he plays) will unfortunately own this dreaded spell and bad karma. Just watch. Sleep well, Cleveland. Tomorrow is a new and much brighter day…. I PROMISE you that our energy, focus, capital, knowledge and experience will be directed at one thing and one thing only: DELIVERING YOU the championship you have long deserved and is long overdue…."
  16. At least no one said "Steelers"; I would have vomited in my mouth.
  17. He calls MY city names (even though he's probably never set foot here), and you tell ME to chill out? Nice.
  18. Right. "Mistake by the Lake". Thats fresh. What, no "Burning River" smack? Maybe you can throw out some "Titanic" jokes why thats still fresh in everyones minds. Seems like Florida gets hit by hurricanes every other year and they rebuild everything themselves and dont whine about it 4 and half years later. Have fun at your "Vomitfest".....I mean "Mardi Gras". Hows that crime rate by the way?
  19. Congratulations Saints. I was one of the people who thought the Colts would win, probably by about 10 points. Maybe now they'll stop crying about Hurricane Katrina.
  20. Garcon having a good game....who by the way is from a Division 3 college here in Ohio.
  21. I think "The Who" (or this current edition thereof) have definitely sounded better...like when I saw them on their "Farewell Tour" about 15 years ago. But I still enjoyed it.
