I got really lucky with the internet this morning. Straight on at 8.50, no waiting and no crashing. Got the confirmation email 3 times though so maybe a sign that it was struggling!

Information on Arsenal date. http://mobile.avfc.co.uk/default.aspx?s=news-display&aid=4708927 Tickets for our FA Cup final against Arsenal go on sale tomorrow morning to supporters with an 8+ game booking history from this season. They are available via our ONLINE BOX OFFICE, in person at Villa Park or on the 0800 612 0970 phoneline. Please be aware, they are not available from the City Centre ticket office. You will be required to have all your Client Reference details to hand at point-of-sale. Any extra criteria will be communicated here on Wednesday if there is availability.

7 games this season? I think you have a chance. I think there will still be some available on Weds (the last criteria published). Said previously I think if may even drops one band lower.

I agree... Maybe even a bit lower. They would have started at a higher number of games otherwise.
  9. Nothing to do with the fact that over the 2 games in the league this season we have lost to Arsenal 8-0. No because it's a one off game. The league matches tend to go along and are always related to form or something. Plus we have a new manager, so I think he'll want to do over his old clubs' rivals. So do you think we'll win or los the cup final? You say you have a horrible feeling but then your post reads like you think we'll win :-)
  10. I keep hearing this so take it as red that I'm not picking on you, but how? When? This weekend. I'm 99% certain that West Brom will roll over for them. Disagree with this - as much as the man is an arse, Pulis won't have his team roll over for anyone. I just don't think it really happens at this level of football at all to be honest.
  11. How are we relying on other teams? The plain, simple facts of the matter are that we pick up the same or more points between now and the end of the season than any one of the 4 teams between us and third bottom, we stay up.

It's alphabetical order - it was in the announcement about us being the 'home' team. Not quite sure why!!
  13. Whichever way I look at the relegation battle, this is the one thing which sticks out. I can't see Sunderland getting more points than us based on our respective fixtures, form etc.

Just had an email advising that people who purchase a season ticket for next season can enter a ballot with a chance to buy a ticket (similar to the semi final ballot I imagine). Winners are notified on 12th May and then call the club to purchase. I'm now even more confident that tickets will be available for people who fall into the 8 or more games category which go on sale on the 12th.
  15. No change in relegation odds on back of tonight's result. Still 9/1 best price and as others have said results needed to send us down probably longer.
  16. 1/14 to stay up with bookies - another indication of our 'chances' of going down.
  17. Don't really know what to make of it... Elated with they way we're playing and can't see that team going the last 5 (including today) without a win. But whilst we're in our position, we have to be concerned. I cannot believe we've taken nothing from that game - in all honesty it should've been all 3 points and not just 1. I don't think our points return has matched performance since the change of manager, I that will adjust in the next few games. Final point, how inept does Lambert now look.

Said earlier - they're giving themselves 2 weeks to shift 18,000 to season ticket holders so about 1,300 a day (that's assuming ticket office open 7 days a week). I don't think they're going to shift the remaining 7,000 (assuming every ST holder buys one) the following day. I'd be surprised if criteria doesn't move a little further down and certainly think those who fall into these brackets should be fine.

I made it up off the top of my head to explain why some people thought it was 25,000 and some thought 22,500. I think the club holding back 10% for sponsors, staff, stewards, etc is reasonable. Of course, it's possible the club got 27k and 25k are going to fans. Who knows? Yep, see the logic. Hopefully the latter!

This 2,500 to club staff... I've heard this elsewhere but not convinced/sure where this comes from. I think my point still stands - would be suprised if they got rid of 5,000 tickets in one day considering they're giving themselves the best part of 2 weeks to sell the first 18,000 to season ticket holders.

I can get one on 12th May and am relatively confident I'll be able to. Assuming all S/T holders take theirs beforehand, they'll need to sell another 7,000 on the 11th for them not to be available on the 12th. I may be wrong, but can't see this happening. I actually think there will be another couple of criteria that it will drop to.

Will they count games yet to be played (i.e. Buy tickets for last 3 home games?)
  24. By changes I assume you mean Sinclair and Cole coming on? I thought they were quite sensible. The formation was working so it made no sense to make too radical a change. Sinclair coming on gave us some fresh legs up front and gave them something to think about, which limited their ability to bomb forwards and press for an equaliser. Cole, while past his best, is an experienced head who is used to playing in big, big games, and it's a good idea to have a level head on the pitch to keep things calm and simple in the closing moments of such a big game. Completely agree with this. The Cole change was about getting an experienced head on the pitch for the last few minutes. Said exactly that at the time of the change.
