  1. Great tackle by Cuellar following misplaced pass by Beye. We're looking good!
  2. With it being a home game - I half expect most of the regular posters are at the match!
  3. The Divine Comedy - The Summerhouse into The Cinematic Orchestra - Music Box
  4. I half expect Davies to play one more game through the pain barrier and line-up just like we did against Liverplop, barring Carew upfront instead of Gabby.
  5. Certainly not a starter but think he can be a handfull on his day. Have no problems with him being on the bench and he must be useful to have around the younger players.
  6. I attend around 5+ matches a year - however, I do live in Plymouth!
  7. Ash a doubt? clickme If he's got a knock, i'd personally rest him and bring in Albrighton - I know the game is of high importance but I wouldn't want Young to aggravate an injury, which could lead to a lengthy spell on the sidelines. I'd rather have him definately back for Fulham
  8. Hang on - they're putting their youngster Ayala up against Heskey, surely that's the same thing???? ......maybe not
  9. I wonder if Carew will be 'fit' - if so, we'll steam roller the tie and win 3-0.
  10. I agree with the 5 man midfield formation tonight, with Gabby again being dropped to the bench. I think Davies will continue at the back, whilst we wait for reinforcements to be brought in. ................Friedel Beye.Cuellar.Davies.Shorey .......Petrov.Delph.NRC Milner..........................Young ..............Heskey Subs: Guzan.Clark.Lowry.Sidwell.Gardner.Albrighton.Gabby. Petrov and NRC are key tonight - they have to close down the Plop midfield and protect our fragile defence. Delph will be the central outlet, with Milner and Young on the wings - although I expect Delph at times on the left, with Young playing just off Heskey. Still think 1-0 to the Plop and harikiri on the boards by midnight :winkold:
  11. Even though the Plop have signed Kyriakos it looks like they'll play Ayala at the back with Carragher. I suppose the difference is they can play a youngster against Heskey but I wouldn't pit Clark against Torres  Still think we'll lose tonight and probably 1-0 with a last minute goal too to make it feel worse!
  12. Midlake - Roscoe What an awesome track (IMO!)
  13. If rumours are true - we'll have Warnock signed in time for the Liverpool match - that solves the LB position! The biggest headache is the CB position alongside Cuellar - do we risk an injury carrying Davies, a youngster in Clark or Lowry or switch Beye to CB and bring in NRC/Gardner/Lichaj as RB? I think we'll retain the 4-5-1 formation as we're away from home and our retention was better on Thursday than the Wigan game. Obviously Petrov will be in the midfield 3 and I believe NRC showed enough against Vienna to force a recall to the starting XI. Delph will make up the central midfielders with Young and Milner outwide supporting (inevitably) Heskey - although i'd prefer Gabby TBH (as I expect Carew to be 'injured' again) My team: ...............Friedel Beye.Cuellar.Clark.Warnock ........NRC.Petrov.Delph Milner..........................Young ...............Gabby MON's team: ............Friedel Beye.Cuellar.Davies.Warnock ......NRC.Petrov.Delph Milner.........................Young ...........Heskey
  14. well at least Daniel Agger's missing.... that only leaves Torres, Gerrard etc etc etc
  15. Totally not looking forward to this match at all - I can't see beyond a heavy defeat and I'm usually an optimist!!!! With Davies potentially out we have massive problems unless we actually sign someone (beginning to feel that will never happen!) Who knows if Carew will declare himself fit or not?!?!? Also, I can see MON reverting to Petrov and Delph in the middle as they didn't play at all last night I'd pick .................Friedel Beye.Cuellar.??????.Shorey .........Sidwell.Petrov.NRC Milner..............................Young .................Gabby Subs: Guzan. Heskey.Carew(?).Delph.Gardner.Clark.Lowry
  16. After a nights sleep my thoughts are pretty much the same - a lot of endeavor but no end product.... I still can't get over the first goal, the coverage still isn't good enough to confirm whether Davies was pushed or slipped over - even so, it was a shocking start, knocking us out of stride. We played well in parts and retained the ball with some nice movement, however we still didn't create enough chances. To be honest the referee didn't give us anything last night either but that's no excuse. MON has a lot to do now - esp if Davies' injury will require him having a break. I've always backed MON but that faith is beginning to look frayed around the edges now  And the whole Carew injury - even being an optimist, I can't help but think there's more to it and he's off. My ratings: Guzan. 7 - did all he could Beye. 6 - still settling in but showed he likes to get forward Cuellar. 6.5 - Did well put in some good challenges Davies. 6 - slip or push? didn't lose his head but lost his position several times. Shorey. 6.5 - A decent game for the LB, worked hard and got forward. Milner. 7 - ok his end product was unusually off but his work ethic and effort was brilliant. Garnder. 5 - not at the races, didn't contribute much. NRC. 7 - tried his hardest and to inspire the team Sidwell. 6.5 - At times very good direct running, the rest - anonymous Young. 6 - showed glimpses (but only glimpses) Heskey. 6 - as Young Subs: Gabby. 6 - looked bright when he came on Lowry. 6 - didn't have much to do.
  17. there's been a few in this match (admittedly not very good but more than you've observed)
  18. What??? Lowry on for Davies - I can only assume he's taken a knock
  19. living dangerously here..... I'd take Heskey off, stick Gabby up top and bring on Albrighton
  20. well worked corner - unlucky Shorey He's played alright tonight
  21. unlucky - good run by Emile, showing glimpses of what he is capable of
