I heard last night from one of them who bet me £100 they’ll finish above us in the league within the next 10 years. Absolutely deluded.

And he would be the exact type of person who would complain about a lack of ambition if we had Brendan Rodgers in charge.

In seriousness, I take all these leaks with a pinch of salt. The Premier League for all its faults is a highly professional organisation, and fixtures are not leaked.

Yep. When you think about it, they’re the first what I would call serious player business people we’ve ever been involved with. Never accepting anything but success. Chuffed they picked us.
